Its my personal belief, that IF your going to get into the game from scratch, You might as well just go all in and buy a $100 pledge and go with a ship that can do multiple rolls, there are a few reasons for this, first, the smaller ships cant really do cargo run missions at all. second they suck at actual combat. ya they have some small guns. but fighting stuff is going to be a chore and a nightmare at the same time. a chore as in it takes FOREVER to get a single kill, and a nightmare because its usually 2 and 3 on one and you don't get much for defense in the starters. Third, Distance of travel. the small ships are lucky to have enough fuel to make it to the local Lagrange points. getting from planet to planet is a nightmare of hopping from station to station to refuel, and as a new player your not really going to know to do this!. Fourth LOOT, especially now with the new "stupid as heck" way we have to loot bases now by tractoring a 2SCU box everywhere we go. the small ships cant carry much as it is, and loosing that cargo space to carry a mandatory box at all times. "just in case you do find a good weapon or armor piece you want". takes space away from running other missions. I HIGHLY recommend going straight for a Cutlass Black, or a C1 for a starter. some people like the Agis Avenger as the best "starter" but I don't. The 2 new "starter ships" to look for at IAE would be the new Intrepid. sucks in combat but is Designed specifically for package delivery runs. and you wont loose out by carrying that 2SCU inventory box with you. and you wont feel cramped traveling around in it. It also appears to have a good Fuel Supply so you don't have to be supper stupid in planing your jumps. and its FAST getting out to orbit in seconds of take off. making getting to your activity of choice a lot less of a chore. ITs (at least it was before master modes, haven't flown it since last years IAE) way too fast and too little maneuverability, I smashed into port tressler more times that I care to remember in that ship! Space Breaks and pulling back on the stick did nothing to slow me back down in time, and trying to move out of the way didn't have enough thrust to counter act forward speeds... needless to say I didn't have a good time with it, I LOVE the interior design, but they way it handles was the turn off.
@@LoudGuns Looks like RUclips decided to take the opportunity to delete another one of my posts so long explanation short the interpreted.
Kinda surprised the "luxury" 300 series rework didn't include a bathroom.
Uh, it does. Well it has a toilet at least.
@@AlecDenholm Yeah, I just found that out. I swear, the last time I walked through mine, it didn't.
Don't know why anyone would pay more than $40, it so easy to make money in this game im at 42mil and i only stared playing 2 weeks ago. After the Conni there really isn't anything worth upgrading to.
Might change when this hits version 1.0. But I will wait until they release squadron 42, then I will upgrade my old pc to match my 4k monitor.
New Crusader starter ships is the definition of Ugly puts the Ug in Ugly 😭. CIG should have given it a size 5 gun to make up for the looks.
