Crona having a panic attack and crying is probably the most realistic thing I’ve ever seen. And Maka snapping them out of it harshly and then comforting them is probably the best representation of friendship I’ve ever seen. Only real friends give it to you straight up like she does

For cronas sake she pulled it, crona means so much to her. Im glad the anime didnt torment crona the way the manga did. ( i mean not nearly as long or in the same way). It gave crona a better ending and some real character growth.

Oh no the writer wanted to explore and world build more around what the life of a dwma student is like. You can say NOT is bad but calling it a generic slice of life anime when it 1. Develops dwma life and lore 2.adds lore to the death of a character 3. Has the entire series building up to a witch fight 4. How a amateur weapon progresses is just denial

I know this is the divination of the manga and the anime, but I’ll say this they did great with it and I think of it as a great what if. The manga shows the path cronoa went the way of the kishin and the anime shows his path of the mister and I like both.

Favorite scene in the whole show. The fight scenes in this show are genuinely mazing, trust me I know, but I’m a sucker for big emotional moments like this one.
Say what you want about Bones’s original route with Soul Eater, I at least liked the more merciful and hopeful route the anime took with Crona’s character compared to the manga.

I can’t count the number of times I was so scared and nervous to explain what I’m going through that I had to hold back tears. I can Relate to Crona quite a bit… But before I explain that I wanna talk about this scene, and another scene from another anime {My favorite anime} Madoka Magica, in this context, those who watcged Madoka Magica know I’m talking about the Moment when Sayaka cried, Different context entirely but still in context, this moment between Maka and Crona is honestly comforting {Like the Moment between Madoka and Sayaka} Soul’s qoute at the end broke the mood in a funny way to. Ways I relate to Crona: Isolation: Crona had the times in their Childhood where Medusa locked them in a Dark Room alone, I was in a Dark Room alone to… It’s hard, it’s scary, you think you’re not good enough… You blame yourself, and everyone just makes you feel worse… You can’t even reach out Awkwardness: Crona is pretty awkward around people, I was always Awkward to… Scared and uncomfortable, feeling like a waste of space, I’ve only started reaching out, context about me, I’m a Trans Lesbian {Unable to Transition due to my situation…} I’m Trapped and have no Control of my life, I’m Treated like a Child when I’m literally 20 Now about the Madoka Magica scene: Sayaka was upset about the fact she was gonna lose the Boy she likes to her friend, and she found out that being a Magical Girl, is technically in the context of Madoka Magica, makes you in a way… A Zombie, Sayaka literally says _”I’m already dead, I’m a Zombie”_ and Madoka ran over and held her, let her cry in her arms. Hugs are soooooo comforting. I’ve never been hugged, I relate to tat scene because of being _S u i c i d a l_ and _S e l f h a r m i n g_ I care a lot about Mental Health, I’m very empathetic. My guess is that we feel bad for Crona because of how sad their life is and how Crona is somewhat relatable to a lot of people who experienced similar things in their lifes(abuse, depression, anxiety, etc), and since Ragnarok bullies them so much in almost every scene he is in, we as a audience feel inclined to dislike him for mistreating Crona

Crona's gender is never definitively stated in either version of the story, it is deliberately kept ambiguous, and the fandom has since claimed them as non-binary. The newest edition of the manga has even updated Crona's pronouns to being they/them to reflect this cultural shift. This voice actor is a woman, but she's voiced male characters in the past so I don't think the voice has any influence on the gender of the character she's voicing at all.
They were left genderless by the author on purpose. It's not as much "up to interpretation" as they're not a kind of character that's supposed to be easy to associate yourself with for any viewer (like Frisk from Undertale for exmp). They're just genderless, original japanese dub uses genderless language to address them. The author probably wanted to make some kind of statement by doing this.
