    I can't describe how much of a coincidence this video feels like! I was also recently pondering about the question that you address at the end of the video.. and I completely agree. Outside of everything else, moving away forces one to become completely independent. I think you learn so much about yourself, and to some extent, you question what you want out of life along the journey. I wil say though, when these variables become overwhelming at times, i tend to daydream about a scenario where I hadn't moved. For a brief moment, that mental image can be comforting 🙂

    I needed to hear this. I am at exactly the stage where I am doing a lot of things and I have to keep re-prioritizing things. Thank you for making this video. This video couldn't have come at a better time than now. 😄

    • @MayankSehgal
      @MayankSehgal  Год назад +7

      It's all about the variables bro. If you feel like you can't date it just means that it's not the priority in your life right now. And that's fine!

    I really liked what you talked about at the end, about remembering and keeping in focus the reason for moving abroad! I too am moving to France this year in September. I hope to grow myself professionally, socially and personally into a better version through my master's.
    Great video!

    One of the key takeaways for me is that one of the most important things you can learn as an immigrant is to deal with the stress of uncertainty.

    Completely relate to each and every point you discussed. But in the end, asking questions to ourselves if we stayed back home are we really happy?? I think that completely motivates every foreign student after going through the mental aspect.

    Great video (as always)! I'm from the US and I'll be moving abroad this fall to either Iceland or France for grad school. I'm super excited, but I really appreciate you sharing your honest feelings on your experience. It has definitely helped me set my expectations and to understand that it won't always be this idealized version we have in our heads of what moving to another country will be like.

    Well-put. For some people, they can be their authentic self and enjoy more freedom abroad as living at home in India can feel restrictive with family expectations, neighbors' etc. This is of course highly dependent on the person's background and willingness to adapt to unfamiliar environments..

    Your videos are really impressing.

      Hey! At HEC there's no option, but at ESSEC you can get an apprenticeship to work along with your study!
