I encourage you to go, even though it seems like it would be pretty expensive for you. My dad took me to 3 games when I was around 10-12. Great experiences. He was such a scoundrel...he'd buy the cheap seat tix and then around the start of period 2 he'd give the usher a $5 or $10 tip to let us sit in empty seats near the ice, which was cheaper than buying the expensive tix. Probably can't do that anymore. hehehehe
On the other hand, perhaps I shouldn't encourage you. For me, I've become seriously disenfranchised with the league. The ubiquitous advertising is beyond sickening. I'm extremely quick on the draw to mute and/or switch to something else, but it's still difficult to avoid. The money-hungry greed is absolutely disgusting, yet it keeps getting worse. Ads everywhere on the ice and during gameplay. The boards are plastered not only with ads, but motion-filled ads, treating people like the sheep we are. It shows an unmitigated cynicism and contempt for the consumer. "Here's what a total idiot you are. Give us more money." In 10-20 years, perhaps fewer, I guarantee uniforms will be covered with sponsors, just like car racing. And this whole betting thing is as unconscionable as it gets. Feed peoples' greed, especially those in lower income brackets, while filling their pockets and satisfying their own greed, and all while shoving it down our throats like a foie gras goose. (Here I am prompted to say "screw" instead of my usual "fuck" because of YT censorship) "Take a look at Draft King at the top of your screen." NO! SCREW YOU! And the other day I wanted to shoot the TV like Elvis when Edso said "Geico players on the ice." Screw you, Edso, you cheap sellout. The players are no longer Rangers or Hurricanes or any other team: they're Geicoans. Screw Geico. Screw Edso. Screw the NHL.
So, there's my opinion. Next time I'll tell you how I really feel.

@@calmandprosperous I am a born Brooklynite and lived in Manhattan as an adult for almost 20 years. However, I had to move and have been living in FLA for the last 11 years. Watching this made me feel so good and not so far away from my beloved city and team... :)
Also, I had an on line conversation about two years ago (after the Russian invasion) with a Ranger fan who lives in Kiev, Ukraine. He watches the games on his desktop and told me that it always takes his mind off the awful war happening to his country.
In another on line conversation I met two guys who each said that they listened to Ranger games on AM radio from NYC in the 70s. One lives on Price Edward Island in Canada and the other lives in Virginia Beach. They said that they had to move the radio around to find the right spot so that they could hear the games.
I was blown away by how people so far away found the team and fell in love with the Rangers. Way before the internet... :)

Probably watching nearly every Rangers playoff game from Germany. Biggest dream to see a Rangers game in MSG, hopefully next year. Last June we visited NYC but there was no game... So now good luck for the final games... ✊🏆🔵⚪🔴
The emotions i felt throughout the game from being down 3-1 to feeling like game 7 was gonna happen to then 3-2 and gaining confidence to then 3-3 and yelling everyone awake to 4-3 and losing my mind unforgettable type of game

That watch party was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had as a Ranger fan. If you saw me at the end you would’ve thought I skated on the ice. When Rangers got the lead I went so crazy I got out of breath. When they won I just gave everyone around me hugs because it was the only energy I had left in me. What an experience to remember and the energy at MSG is like nothing else

Enjoy games like these! I have been a Rangers fan since the early 60’s and my favorite player will always be Rod Gilbert…he was really, really special. My best friend and I spent much of our younger days at MSG cheering the Rangers on from the Blue Seats…where else! I had a corporate move to So. Cal. in 1985 (before the internet) so I lost touch a bit. Anyway, my favorite in-person Ranger game was Game 6 vs. the Islanders in 1979 which we won (big upset that year!) to get to the finals vs. the Canadians. MSG was going nuts! One of my favorite sports memories ever! Considering I attended all the Knicks home games in the 1972 and 1973 playoffs (blue seats of course…I think it was…like $6.00 per game) and my dad had Jets season tix (upper deck of course) all thru the Joe Namath years…I had been exposed to many exciting games. Great memories…and your video made me really miss those days and being there now. Enjoy!!!!
I remember my dad took me to my first Rangers game during the 69-70 sitting in the blue seats. I lost count on all the Mets games. I went to Shea sitting in the $1.30 green wooden seats in the upper deck. I sat in the last row of the upper deck of the last Jets game at Shea against the Steelers. I wish the Jets could move back to Queens Let's Go Rangers Knickerbockers 🏀 Mets ⚾️ and Jets 🏈 All the teams I rooted for during the 60s

Love this video. I'm a Rangers fan in Australia. Was privileged to be at MSG a few years ago for a 4-0 win over Montreal. The same night as that OBJ catch in the NFL which was cheered very loudly in the Garden. Great experience. Thanks for sharing and bringing back the memories!

Been a Rangers fan since they Lost to the Habs in 78, been through the agony of the Islander years experienced the 94 season and the exhileration and pent up passion released when Messier scored his hat trick in the "Guaranty" game followed by the legendary Howie Rose and the "Matteau, Matteau, Matteau, Stephan Matteau" call in double OT. Saw Brian Leetches Spin o rama goal, and Richters save on Pavel Bure's penalty shot. Krieders Hat trick to seal the deal brought that feeling back again, and no matter if the Rangers fail against the Panthers, this will go down in Rangers history, and I got to witness two such feats occur in my lifetime. LFGR!!!!

I was born into a NYR rooting family. Love the Ranger’s, ALWAYS. I’ve lived in Las Vegas for 40 year’s. 14:23 Absolutely love ❤️ our VGK!!! Now that they’re out I can focus all my “juju” on NY. 😂
When they went down 1-3 I was sad. Their comeback was AMAZING!!! I would SO like to see them win the Cup. That would be TWO in my lifetime.

Love it!! I was at the Garden for the first time last year for my 50th. Took the tour of MSG and saw all these things the day before attending my first home game. Still stunned by those Leetch gloves on display!! They looked 65 years old! lol

Thanks to 9:49-9:53, I was FINALLY able to find out the title of the song that I've heard fans singing along to at face-offs at several NHL arenas (Florida, Carolina etc.) over the last year! 🙂 On a side note, as a Montreal fan and big hockey fan, one heck of a series between the Rangers and Hurricanes, with my pick winning! I'm sure it would have been so thrilling to be at the watch party for that roller-coaster of a game!
