Unoffensive yet inclusive is just another way to say boring and dumbed down.
This is more shitlib propaganda putting black women on a pedestal to justify using them as weapons to attack black men with. Every black man in that movie is either a corpse or a villain. Name one other than Tiana's father (who barely gets any screen time) or the blaxploitation holdover Dr. Facilier. Meanwhile, Oprah is only playing Tiana's mother because Nell Carter died.
Tiana's Woke Adventure?
I loved Splash Mountain. Another thing Disney has ruined. Boycott Disney
Stood tall and proud for over 30 years with no racial "issues" whatsoever. Disney continuing to muck up their legacy with DEI crap nobody asked for. They could do a complete about face at this point and I'd still greet them with two middle fingers.
You won't fight to defend what doesn't exist, and the faster they swap you out the sooner you will forget what you had @gregmeyer1805
Artwork: "Oooh, we're gonna be in the Bayou!"...Reality: 'Ooops. We're in a landfill.' Perfect evaluation.
The wind kicked up, my hat fell off and blew Bayou...
They destroyed one of the greatest theme park rides of all time over a lie.
Let The Walt Disney Company fall if that's what it takes to save the legacy of Walt Disney. Disneyland is basically Gilead for men at this point. All the reasons Disney sucks are why Barfbie sucks, too. Man-bashing is hate speech.
I would be less offended if they introduced a female impersonator doing Bette Midler's old act from the Continental baths.
👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿
That slide exit no lie looks like a sphincter. The way all those trees fold over around it really looks like muscle folds. Idk what they are going for but it full on looks like a rectum experiencing an enema
Landfill was a good analogy.
Landfill? They turned the whole place into a dump. Disneyland is an overpriced dump with 500 options to get fat with nothing really compelling put in the park since Splash Mountain and the Indiana Jones ride.
I have seen Midwestern subdivisions with more charm and enchantment.
Jeff Goldblum summed it up perfectly: That's a pile of ahh.. s#%/.
Either that or the Love Canal...
I’m blue in the face from saying that Song of the South is about as racist as a cupcake. It’s a beautiful movie and one of my favorites. I’m so tired of people assuming that something is racist / sexist / problematic without even seeing it. Now look at what’s happened - our favorite ride, gone.
I was underwhelmed when I saw it, some of it was lightly funny but it was pretty disappointing. But it was not some racist screed like I'd been lead to believe.
@@christophertaylor9100that 60s hybrid is the one that's racist. The BBFC even re-rated it for a slur against POCs. That was justified, but because boomer, it generated performative outrage.
Wow! it looks like a small and cheap amusement park ride. Universal are gonna eat them alive. And is all their fault for get the DEI money and never think in the future
Universal is booming these days. That Disney to Universal needle is moving fast in one direction.
Disneyland isn't losing visitors over this. They are so successful that they have gotten approval to build a third park in Anaheim. The park business is booming, whether you like it or not.
Disneyland itself, just that one park, brings on $2.4B annually. They aell 40-60,000 park tickets daily.
People are going to love this ride because it's gonna be 100 degrees again this summer and it's a water ride. Plus, the imagineers will add more detail over time, like every ride.

When you focus on activism, you aren't focused on quality
See, I remember back in the day when both boys and girls, men and women, _everyone_ could enjoy Disney films. But this whole push to make *everything* a "girl's brand" has not just gotten old, its bones have turned to dust. Growing up as a girl myself, I never once felt excluded from "boy's brands" like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park. Anyone could like those things. But I think catering it more to a specific audience helped the writers/creatives capture the magic that made them so special. By shifting the focus more towards girls, not only does it NOT appeal to girls, it doesn't appeal to anybody. It'd be like making a whole lot of romantic musicals with a focus on boys. Boys wouldn't like that, and the girls wouldn't like that. It doesn't make a lick of sense.
Jeremy said it best... if you told me 10 years ago that I would prefer Universal over Disney, I would have laughed and called you a liar. But here we are.
I prefer Carowinds over Disney at this point.
The Excellence vs Activism issue perfectly sums our modern issues up. Also: Story vs Activism.
❣️
This has all the markings of them wanting to put a giant tree on top, but then OSHA had a problem with it because of the added weight. They probably told them they would only approve if they rebuilt a significant portion of the ride, more than Disney thought they would need to.
Honestly, I don’t think a tree on top saves this. It looks really bad.
@@UnkownSoldier100 this is vandalism rooted in anti-male sexism. Do we need separate theme parks for men and women?
There are no mountains in new orleans
Just saw *Steel Magnolias* in theaters. It was actually set and shot in Louisiana. The closest things to mountains in that movie were inside Dolly Parton's bra.
True. But what geographical place was Song of the South with a mountain? What mountains look like that? A suspension of reality is required for most any Disney ride. Elephants don’t really fly. Animals don’t sing or talk. And yet…people never have problems with that. So now you want reality? You’re in the wrong place if you want that! 😂

They're 30billion in debt they're not making money
The artists were creative when they painted the picture. Then Disney cut the budget and all that creativity went out the window. I hear there are very few animatronics inside the ride, too.
To me it feels like Disney is missing heart and creative passion now a days and only cares about making The Disney Board richer and pushing activism over a heart which has a love of bringing entertainment to life; this quality is missing everything Disney now touches, from their films to their parks.

RIP Splash Mountain. Hello Woke Mountain. Stunning and brave.

What the He$$ is that!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 best ride ever to a disturbing hole looking fake something.
It looks more like a jungle than a bayou. Like it looks like it fits better as a Tarzan or Jurassic Park ride than a ride based around the bayou which btw don’t have any mountains, Bayous are flat. Also how are they going to thematically fit this ride into Frontier Land at Disney World?!?! It worked for splash mountain because it somewhat still fit with the desert theme but seriously!!!! How?!?
By eventually retheming Frontierland into a New Orleans section. And then building a new Frontier section behind and around Big Thunder. BUT, they should have done that first. TBA makes no sense at WDW as a standalone project.
Hey, it's Oscar the Grouch's new home...
Actually a Muppets re-theme probably would have been better.
Oscar has upgraded to a mansion!
It’s tianas bayou adventure
Looks like the meteor from "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill" hit nearby.
I have an idea for Disney to get all their wanted customers back... They should do a Gaza theme park with rave disco's you can raid and wreak havoc... man, imagine, all these countless wealthy ivy league students purchasing season passes... Disney would be back!😅

The rides were based on popular Disney properties. i.e. Pinocchio, Dumbo, etc. The Princess and the Frog was not popular at all.
It couldn't even beat an *Alvin and the Chipmunks* movie at the American box office, and it crashed and burned in Asia.
At least the Disney Co isn't doing dark rides with a lot of projected images instead of 3-D props & audioanimatronics. Uh, er, okay, strike that. At least the Disney Co isn't politicizing everything with DEI/ESG. Uh, er, okay, strike that. Well, the Disney Co at least isn't replacing popular attractions with stripped-down, uninspiring makeovers. Uh, er....
I miss splash mountain.
The demoralization campaign marches on.
Regardless of any new wonderful anamatronics, the entire outside looks like an uninspiring end of the road.
It’s not about the outside. It’s on the inside that does it
It's ugly on the inside and out because it was born out of hatred of black men.
So how would YOU have decorated it differently then?
This gives me "Willy's Chocolate Experience" vibes from the concept art vs. th actual product. The difference with Willy's was we got memes out of it
Disney is becoming that en masse. Walt was the real deal, so replacing him has proven to be a mousercise in futility. When the closest we got outside Howard Ashman dropping mad rhymes for mermaids and beasts to sing was Don Bluth quitting over the whites in Bernard and Bianca's eyes and Michael Eisner's charmless and flat introductions to *The Disney Sunday Movie* alongside underpaid cast members in costumes, then I think it's safe to say the magic is gone and the only people who cannot accept that are not only delusional, but are openly bullying people for pointing it out.
Some things are gender specific and some things aren't. Harry Potter and Super Mario appeal to just about every demographic. Male, female, old, and young. Disney should've been shooting for that. Instead, they're taking boys brands and trying to force them to be girls brands.
This seems to work with their entire culture of "IP Mining"
Disney taking more L's than Leisure Suit Larry (if you are an OG gamer you'll get that reference)

Wow? You guys missed the low budget circus Olay strip tease ride! Also the smellephants on parade!! Some great Carnival budget attractions.. lock it in Dipsy.. yay!!
Looks like it was done by the same people that did the Willy Wonka Experience in Glasgow... (How nice that those people managed to find work so soon after that...) At the same time it also kinda reminds me of the Love Canal... And if it looks this bad from the outside, one can only imagine what nightmare-fuel the inside is gonna look like...
This Looks like the place you dump all your grass, tree and Bush trimmings at the dump!
Meanwhile in Japan, Disney knocked it outta the park with Fantasy Springs. Looks great from what I’ve seen so far.
They cheaped out.. instead of building new trees on the top... they just added leaves to what was already there. Sadly it's been a long road to it being done this bad, but they were doing the same for a long time (sadly as bad the timeline for Galaxy's Edge was the details were there in the little things, but that didn't last obviously).
It looks like when kids throw decorations all over their high school gym before a dance to hide the fact that it’s a gym
Disney you can’t pretend this ride is not a mountain
It looks like a month's art project that you decide to start 4 days to its due date and get anxious in the last two days.
I got it, its Tiana's skid row adventure. Then the logs would be properly themed.
Under bob igor Disney is SHIT
Hurray for Tokyo Disneyland!!
Epic Mike is also correct. Another reason why some films have been preachy now a days is because of the characters talking about their feelings so much.
Disney parks have always sucked. Universal and Busch Gardens have been superior since at least 1990
The title of this video makes me laugh and laugh.
Like more than two thirds of the visitors at Disneyland I have never watched "Song Of The South" for the obvious reason; is near impossible to get thanks to its own company. As they say, a movie based on a book must be good on its own merit without asking the audience to read the book to be able to understanding it, the ride WORKED FOR EVERYONE without the need of having to watch the movie; it told, apparently, its own story, and THERE WAS NO RACISM IN IT! "Racism" is defined as "hatred and discrimination towards a race", if they think that characters talking and dressing accurately to the TIME PERIOD of the story its "racist", that's not hatred, and THEY ARE THE RACISTS. Like most of those two thirds of the visitors, SPLASH MOUNTAIN was one of my favorite rides despite never watching the movie because I judged the ride on ITS OWN MERIT. For decades NOBODY COMPLAINED ABOUT RACISM, until the woke mob arrived. F them! No song from "Princess and The Frog" will be as CATCHY as "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah", you know I am right, just make a poll, a song from a movie I have not seen totally engraved in my memory thanks ENTIRELY to the ride. PS. It does look like SH*T, specially for Disneyland standards; it doesn't look like something "magical" taken out of a cartoon of fairy tale like it used to be, it looks like any other uninspired GENERIC waterpark attraction out there.
The reason nobody complained about racism for decades was that Splash Mountain replaced the most overtly racist image in the movie with a beehive.
@@trev3971 while they built a theme park ride around the most racist musical number in the worst movie Walt Disney made, and nobody complained because Boomer. The BBFC agrees because now that production number has rightfully gotten them rated for racist language.
Between the homophobia of Clarence Thomas, DEMONd Wilson, and the presidents of Uganda and Zimbabwe, you can stop pretending that calling this movie racist is anything other than confession through projection. The movie isn't racist. Its so-called critics are, and not just racist, but sexist and homophobic as well.
Yeah, it's really sad and now censorship of fan criticism of movies and stuff appears to be ramping up.
Then Dickney should be censored in retaliation for their censorship.
Very terrible. I hope there will be no riots from a particular community. Very unfortunate, and racist to a community that deserves more.

@@user-tz3wq3yo5k it's ugly and you're bullying people on behalf of a company that wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Stop bullying and start demanding that splash Mountain be restored, and that those who vandalized it be arrested and imprisoned for terrorism.
LOL! Looks like something in my toilet. 😂
I commented it looked boring on a video for their test run and I got so much flak for it. I had people call my intelligence into question, a racist and a lot of fat phobic comments from people who probably preach against it but use it against people they don’t like. I feel vindicated here
Get ready for more and stand your ground. The woke mob is relentless and love to throw out “you’re racist!” if you have any valid criticism. They can’t fathom the idea that they were sold a bill of goods and are actually are wrong. They have to stick to the narrative at all costs.
Though I think once the ride actually opens and the public realizes it’s not good, they won’t be able to stand their ground as much anymore. The tide will eventually turn back.
Well I’m not here to give you flak but In my opinion people are bashing the ride before it opens. Like no one has seen the inside yet
@@user-tz3wq3yo5k they are bashing it because it destroyed a classic ride based on a classic movie. Anybody who supports this is not just racist, but an anti-male sexist as well. You know damn well they destroyed this because the lead character was a male rabbit with a pink shirt.

You nailed it on how you used to go to Disney parks because there was excellence. Besides the growing woke Disney agenda that lack of care now is what killed it for us. We live 90 minutes from WDW and for a very long time we’d go there 3-4 times a year. Sometimes we’d go to a park and other times just go stay a night or two at a resort and hang at Disney Springs. It was overpriced, but you at least knew you were getting immaculate grounds and friendly staff. The last time we went was after it opened post covid and it was a dramatic difference. The grounds aren’t kept up as well, things are constantly breaking and taking a long time to repair and then it seemed like people there just cared less. We haven’t gone to the parks or stayed over there now for several years and I just don’t see why at this point that we’d need or want to go back.
Bayou Adventure deserved to be a good, stand-alone ride and not some repurposed kudzu monstrosity . . .
This is what it deserves for vandalizing and desecrating Splash Mountain. If LOSERana wants its own ride, then buy the theme park rights to *Steel Magnolias* since there's no such place as Sonyland.
They tend to leave Tiana off of their merchandising entirely, and now this? Do they regret putting out Princess and the Frog or something?
They should. It killed Disney animation, and now it's killing Disney theme parks.
"That's one giant pile of shit"
I can smell it from here and you can smell it too because the smell blew Bayou.
Agreed. Excellence isn't there anymore and hasn't been for the last 20 years. What Disney has now become known for is Lack of Maintenance, overpriced experiences, stupid locations of new attractions that barely have anything to do with the land they are in, cheap rebrand overhauls and a bunch of other idiotic ideas I don't want to get into now. Yes, they have struck gold on some things and as awesome as they are, just aren't enough to fully credit Iger or the Company for being as brilliant as their predecessors.
I've heard of being in deep shit, but this is ridiculous!
Finally "Splash Mountain" will no longer not cause any office to anyone at any time. So stunning, so brave. 😆
I'm offended by it now. In fact, I'm so offended by it. I won't even watch the movie it is based on anymore.

What makes it worse is this ride will require VQ 😂 Classic Disney.
I honestly didn’t care for infinity war or endgame. Everything after I cared less about
The musical talent involved in the creation of the ride was serious. I loved the old ride. I hope it isn't as bad is it looks from this video.
It will be worse.
Besides the politics of it all, the frustrating thing about this situation is the lack of talent and commitment to world building at Disney. Imagine if competent people designed a corner of the park based on this excellent movie, where part of it is like the French Quarter, part of it is a classic above ground cemetery, and then there is a spooky Cajun Bayou. Walt loved south Louisiana and originally planned to build Disney World there. Now the company is run by people who don't like Walt or what he stood for and who don't know how to do anything.
Everybody at the company but Walt was bloody useless without him.
From the concept art there's supposed to be a tree on the top with a boat marooned in its branches. There's no weenie on this nondescript mound.
Maybe cost cutting during the translation from concept to construction? Have to admit, not a Splash Mountain fan since some of the splashes ended up in my mouth. My fault for opening my mouth during the fall but still, the water is gross. Standing in line and tasting pool water are the true theme park horrors. Fortunately, I don't have to go to the Parks though a "Mooby the Calf," ride might get me to go again.
You can't just look at one photo of the top half if the ride and just be like "it looks bad so the rest of the ride is also bad." That's just dumb. It's also a very compressed photo so of course it looks gross.
I'm just glad Mike is getting his own universe.

Tabasco Slave Mountain
Hillary's favorite ride - she even has a bottle of Tabasco sauce in her purse!
Demand that it be shut down and torn down.
It’s true. Looks stupid and the storyline sounds convoluted and written by incompetents. It’s a flume ride for god’s sake. A co-op in a salt dome mountain in the bayou where there’s a hot sauce factory and some missing ingredients and music band and a Mardi Gras celebration. The barn has art that looks like grafitti under an overpass in modern day not 1920s. Could it be any more bloated? Yes, with a weathervane adding additional layers of nonsensical garbage. Then they want people to clap and celebrate and the most tense moment which feels like emotional gaslighting and manipulation. Modern Disney sucks.
It’s not about the outside or story. It’s about the actual ride. I mean people need to understand that Disney rides need to evolve. You think half the rides the kept 30 years ago are still around today? No because the evolved their parks and that’s something Walt would have wanted too
@@user-tz3wq3yo5k stop invoking the name of Walt to justify vandalizing the park and pushing out a Walt-era IP rooted in African folklore for one that is European in origin. Do you not see how racist and imperialist it is to replace African stories with European ones?
Tiana's Landfill Adventure is textbook Iger - produce crap knowing the fans will buy it anyway. IP mining means spending the least while extracting the most value. Bob Iger actually makes me miss that talentless egomanic Michael Eisner.
Michael Eisner made me realize that Ron Miller deserved better. It was Card Walker who should have been fired years before they drove Miller out. Roy O. Disney almost did but couldn't bring himself to push the button, just like Golda Meir with the Arabs.
Walker basically let the film division starve to pay for the theme parks. Miller tried to save it. *Pete's Dragon* showed they still had a handle on what audiences used to like when Walt Disney was alive. It's the movies after that and before Michael Eisner joined the company that showed that they were paying attention to what audiences liked in the here and now. Even bringing Eisner into the fold was an extension of that. This is when they became single-handedly determined to get the audiences who chose Richard Dreyfuss's mashed potato statue and John Travolta's bikini briefs over Helen Reddy's bloomers. But by the time of *Never Cry Wolf* and *Splash,* that showed the "PG Initiative" (a fan-created retronym to describe some thing that mainly matters to Americans) was working, it was too late for Ron Miller's career because the board of directors chose to blame him for the money running low. Was the decade long recession used to justify cutting the budget on *Robin Hood* also his fault? If boomers are just begged their parents to go see *Alice in Wonderland* and *Sleeping Beauty* enough times to put them into the black when Walt was still alive to actually see the money, they would not have starved the animation division subsequently, too. Wolfgang Reitherman had to beg the people left standing when Walt died not to close the studio after *The Jungle Book,* and if he had not, there would be no Disney "Renaissance" (a marketing retronym created by the same people who brought it to a crashing halt in the first place) and thus no *Little Mermaid,* no *Beauty and the Beast,* no *Aladdin,* and no *Lion King.*
Just think, all boomers had to do was put up with Tommy Steele for three hours and Helen Reddy for two hours and 15 minutes, and 45 years of glorified cryptopornography in a Mouseketeer hat could have been avoided. Thanks for Bruce Willis's willie in some other Lesley Ann Warren movie that wasn't even a musical!
@@Attmay Fantastic history, thanks for that.

Yet another reason south barf sucks, is controlled opposition, and should be canceled along with those stupid boomer-ass shitsons.
Broccoli mountain 🥦
Actually, they didn't appeal to a broad group in the past. That was the exact reason they bought Marvel Studios and Star Wars. They knew that Disney was female focused and they wanted IPs that appealed to the male demographic.
The problem I see is 2 fold. The first is that the male focused properties actually ended up doing far better than the female focused properties. The envy from the Disney studio towards Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios can be felt.
The second was if you can't beat them, join them happened. The feminists couldn't beat them, so they entered the studio's and took it over. R
The fact nobody remembers the mission statement was to draw males into Disney was the sole purpose of buying said IPs is absolutely crazy.
💯%
Disney is trying to appeal to an audience that does not actually exist. Disney is trying to appeal to a hate group. A non-male identity is a form of misandry after Barfbie and after the death of Helen Reddy.
