Only one busto can exist at a time. So when two bustos are introduced, to solve this dillema, they fuse. Once fusing its a battle like no other. The victor expands and becomes the universe, the loser must remain within this false dimension
The best part of this series is Nick and Griffin's tendency to be quiet. They're these solitary moments of silence that are beautiful. Paired with Clair De Lune and you have art.
this series just turned from the exploration of a car game, to the exploration of an existential nightmare that is the middle ground between figurativeness and reality
Two versions of the film exist, the standard version and the "Fade to Black and White version". The latter version begins in full colour, but throughout the film the colour gradually fades until it is totally black and white at the end of the film. In conjunction with the camera technique of removing the colours, there is also a change in the environmental colours used in backgrounds and clothing. At the beginning of the film, the environments contain a lot of primary colours, whereas toward the end of the film pastel shades, blacks and whites are used. Geum-ja wears a blue coat in the early part of the film, but this is replaced with a black leather coat at the end. The brightly coloured walls of the prison and Geum-ja's bedroom are replaced with the grey walls of the school.
entry 5 Dear diary, you'll never guess what! I met another Busto today! he's really cute and smart and all-powerful. i just know we're gonna be, inseparable. You know that book? "And in that moment, I swear we were infinite"? I think I really, like, GET that now. that's the funny thing about love, diary. It adds a whole new dimension to life. Makes you something bigger than yourself. If you think about it, isn't that all a reality-warping crash test dummy can hope for?
Long before the multiverse existed, there was nothing. There was less than nothing. And in that nothing was Busto. Busto sat and waited, and Busto grew bored. Busto created the many universes that we inhabit, and then he took a very long sleep. But our two soft body car boys did something. They summoned him, but only a shell of his self. But Busto is slowly growing more powerful, Buso has cloned himself simply to make love to it. We Busto grows more lucid by the day, the nature of his power slowly grows more unstable. Soon, he shall awaken fully. And that will be the end of all. The end of everything, the final ending for our time. And after he sleeps for a long time more, Busto shall recreate it all. Busto shall rise from the nothingness once again.
I think it's a two sides of the same coin scenario, like electric and magnetic fields. Neither could exist without the other. Mutually assured destruction assures cooperation, and thus the cosmos is born.
That was the only thing I could think of during the last five minutes or so. I think you could edit out Rei's face on the poster and replace it with that Busto monument and it would be exactly the same.
It has been years, yet we still tell the tale of busto, a man pushed past his limits to become a god. He was wrathful, a being to be feared. Until he met his husband, who was also himself, and his heart was softened. This metal man is still angry but will sometimes send gifts to those worthy.
Holy Shit, Car Boys is the unofficial Event Horizon sequel. Only instead of nude Sam Neil we get two existence-devouring Busto Boys who like to touch tips.
that eerie ass silence from 16:30 to 16:50 with the slightest hint of a police siren in the background is just..... poetry beyond what words can describe. you can actually feel the tension in the air anticipating whatever fuck shit nick is about to wreak upon this poor plane.
This is a good representation of what an object would look like in the 4th dimension. We would only be able to see ever changing cross sections of a full being.
Their choice to put the plane in a machine that would propel it, and then LEAVE THE PROPELLER, AND REMOVE THE WINGS, YKNOW, THAT BITS THAT DO THE GLIDEY FLYING BIT? WAS HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE GJFNNDD
headcannon: what nick and griffin try and move busto once the busto sculpture has formed at 24:36 and are moving him through time, every motion there is actually responsible for every busto event throughout the series
I have never been a religious person because there is no evidence to support any religion, but after seeing the power and divinity of Busto that has changed. Bustoism is the only way of life, we have video evidence of His mighty power, it can not be denied.
At the end of times of the Polygonaverse, the great war shall be waged. Final Pam shall rise from the sea, riding atop a fully weaponized Metal Husband, while Trash Husband speaks grandiose things. Her sons will hail her. But Busto will arrive, yes two Bustos. No automobile force will stop him nor will any crusher contain him. Mountains shall rise in their presence and will erect a monolithic airplane idol horror from the Grid earth itself. It will be horror. And then the end will come.
"Instability detected - vehicle restored and game paused", a phrase that will haunt my nightmares.
Busto's unholy phrase
HOW IS THIS EVEN A SERIES ABOUT CARS BY THIS POINT
it's actually a series about car *boys*, aka busto
well, got me there
TRAAASH Beep Beep
You sound like a Top Gear critic
Only one busto can exist at a time. So when two bustos are introduced, to solve this dillema, they fuse. Once fusing its a battle like no other. The victor expands and becomes the universe, the loser must remain within this false dimension
Pablo Aviles this is such an underrated comment
"There was a little more Busto Frottage than I was expecting."
"Okay... now what was that word that you just said?"
"[NO RESPONSE]"
when this is all finished, do you think busto and the final pam will be joined in a plane beyond our own
second metal husband
everyone go home this is the only comment that matters
the final husband
The question is, if those two got in a fight first, what would happen?
Kzinssie (porygonlover322) hey it's me from PMD hell
I'm glad I'm getting recognized now
you tried to destroy Busto, but Busto had other plans
instead of ceasing to exist, Busto became All
The best part of this series is Nick and Griffin's tendency to be quiet. They're these solitary moments of silence that are beautiful. Paired with Clair De Lune and you have art.
this series just turned from the exploration of a car game, to the exploration of an existential nightmare that is the middle ground between figurativeness and reality
I LEGIT fear that Busto may become some sort of tulpa and start breaking loose from the confines of their game.
that black and white fade into color no cut intro was masterful

+Polygon I think this film will do well with a Korean audience.
@tao
Word
EggBastion sup twin
Dylan Sherman "Oh no."
The soft piano music playing the background really pulls these episodes together if I'm being honest

This comment is super under appreciated, thank you so much for writing it!
griffin: he's adjusted the laws of aerodynamics!
busto is the reason bees are able to fly
Travis Northam busto caused the bee movie

(Sorry for all the errors, goddamn mobile YT hates me)
that was beautiful.
I really wish I could like this more times.
That was really cool of you guys to post the epilepsy warning at the beginning. Seriously.
Kind of sad that baaic safety procedurs are so uncommon they are praised. It is good work of them though
If you turn around to look at Busto, god turns you into a pillar of salt
God, that glitch was beautiful. Like, sincerely awe-inspiring.
I love how you can tell they cut out at least five minutes of nick explaining frottage to griffin
[END OF ACT 1]
{INTERMISSION 1 BEGIN}
busto should be an honorary monster factory monster
That is genius. Griffin, make it happen!
Busto is actually the CEO and sole stockholder of the Monster Factory.
is busto stronger than the final pam? i need to know this lore its extremely important
I theorize that they are not two separate entities, but the combined force of one higher being
I like to look at it as if Busto is the god of time, and The Final Pam the god of space. Not unlike Dialga and Palkia from Diamond and Pearl
Busto is new Metal Husband
God help us all
unstoppable force meets an immovable object man :/
I think it's a two sides of the same coin scenario, like electric and magnetic fields. Neither could exist without the other. Mutually assured destruction assures cooperation, and thus the cosmos is born.
"Busto frottage" is certainly a phrase I never thought I would hear. Huh.
Business Insider: Neil deGrasse Tyson explains episode 8 of 'CAR BOYS'.
Move over, Evangelion, we have more pressing matters to deconstruct
My only regret is making End of Evangelion jokes the last few weeks so they're no longer fresh now when they REALLY apply...
That was the only thing I could think of during the last five minutes or so. I think you could edit out Rei's face on the poster and replace it with that Busto monument and it would be exactly the same.
Someone already did! twitter.com/corruptedgem/status/771436975706353664
I'm pretty sure Busto is an infinity stone
Oh good, the singularity is here and the first thing we've done is try to fire a dozen of this freshly aware god out of a cannon.
Two mannequins having sex? That's a literal Silent Hill monster, right there.
should have been titled busto nut
I just laughed out loud.
Griffin's rising tone of panic is amazing
"nick, nick niCk, NICK!" 100% favorite line in the episode
thank goodness we live in a day and age where these two beautiful Busto boys can be together
Quarantine 2020 mandatory viewing.
i like how theyre all standing creepily upright in honor of the Godtrash Busto Mountains
It has been years, yet we still tell the tale of busto, a man pushed past his limits to become a god. He was wrathful, a being to be feared. Until he met his husband, who was also himself, and his heart was softened. This metal man is still angry but will sometimes send gifts to those worthy.
BRB outlining my erotic fanfiction epic wherein Busto and Truck Shepard fall in love.
Love Truck?
no one love truck
+M Cutts love tractor
clearly busto is the mysterious entity that influenced the creation of truck
That would be some crazy smut.
An epilepsy warning is how you know it's gonna be good.
"We're almost free from this dude ocean"
this is actual glitch art
I never realized that beam.ng drive was the sequel to The Talos Principle
As a car enthusiast, I gotta say I love these vids.
Holy Shit, Car Boys is the unofficial Event Horizon sequel. Only instead of nude Sam Neil we get two existence-devouring Busto Boys who like to touch tips.
You boys have created something truly beautiful here. It's terrifying, and to be feared, but beautiful.
i feel like we're exploring the mountains of madness
'visage of a rogue god', nick and griffin 2016
how about griffin and nick rename the channel, Car Boys, and then only play this game for the rest of their life.
Then what will become of the monster factory?
But what would happen to Griffin's Amibo Corner?
What would happen to all the gems griffin produces?
yeah u fuckin ass
woah calm down Turtle Boy
that eerie ass silence from 16:30 to 16:50 with the slightest hint of a police siren in the background is just..... poetry beyond what words can describe. you can actually feel the tension in the air anticipating whatever fuck shit nick is about to wreak upon this poor plane.
I have honestly never been as afraid of anything as I am of Busto.
this series is actually really calming to watch lol i think the claire de lune just adds to it even more
the piano music is the best part. it's almost a spiritual experience
This is a good representation of what an object would look like in the 4th dimension. We would only be able to see ever changing cross sections of a full being.
I love how when they get the hover plane from Busto 2.0 Nick just accepts it and moves and while Griffin is completely mind blown and confused.
2:54 MY GOD………………… IT'S FULL OF CARS………………………………
I didn't have epilepsy before, but I think I do now.
That seems unlikely
***** Dead gummit. You are right random person, I have deceived you. Take me to internet jail.
I don't have that kind of authority...
Busto just took a driving simulator and created Wipeout 2097
They gaze at god’s incomprehensible being and Griffin McElroy, Thirty under thirty luminary, your baby brother and best friend, calls it a DUDE OCEAN.
any video in which two deities screwing causes vertex buffer overflows is 👌👌
Taking a sip of coffee right as Griffin said "dude ocean" was a mistake
The police sirens in the background really add something extra to this whole experience
The Clair de Lune motif is so important to this series. Such gravitas, such miele, such Busto.
*B O Y S*
C A R S
C A R B O Y S
This is like the text you see at the beginning of a movie trailer.
plane: *has no lift surfaces*
Griffin: "pull up. pull up."
2:24 that shit is straight out of 'The Thing'
Their choice to put the plane in a machine that would propel it, and then LEAVE THE PROPELLER, AND REMOVE THE WINGS, YKNOW, THAT BITS THAT DO THE GLIDEY FLYING BIT? WAS HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE GJFNNDD
busto has ascended. the third impact has begun.
Between this, Monster Factory, and Griffin's Amiibo Corner, I'm loving what Polygon has become.
"This video could be dangerous to those susceptible to seizures"
This gon' be good
Looking forward to a pile of new tumblrs specialising in Busto glitch art.
"And what rough Busto,
its hour come round at last,
slouches towards Gridmap to be born?"
Realizing just now that there may have been a way to free Busto 1.0 if you spawn the bus without any parts but Busto.
hit pause any time between 2:55 & 3:35 and you've got yourself a beautiful abstract painting
"is this what interstellar is about?"
Clair de lune playing throughout this series is so unbelievably good and cool
the aforementioned epilepsy content can also double as a lovely series of abstract polygonal art
Griffin's little gasp at 22:43 when he sees the god trash Busto is amazing
this is some end of evangelion shit
i was gonna say that. glad we're all on the same page
now that I've finished the episode yes. Yes it is.
Shinji, get in the fucking busto.
5:15 Literally the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
i would say i'm surprised but this isn't the first time those polygon boys accidentally caused the end of evangelion in a video game
i rly enjoy the reflective pauses in the commentary
headcannon: what nick and griffin try and move busto once the busto sculpture has formed at 24:36 and are moving him through time, every motion there is actually responsible for every busto event throughout the series
Thank you for the epilepsy warning!
Peace be upon Busto and all that which he makes possible. A world where there are no longer laws of physics, only laws of Busto.
How the FUCK did they set themselves up to all be looking at the twin peaks? That shot was fucking artsy as shit.
i literally just finishedd watching the other videos in this series. and then this was uploaded. truly a miracle. thank you car boys
You interrupted the mating ritual. The Bustos were not pleased.
I liked the part where Busto expanded into infinity.
I'm crying. From laughter? From fear? I don't know anymore. Busto spare us.
I have never been a religious person because there is no evidence to support any religion, but after seeing the power and divinity of Busto that has changed. Bustoism is the only way of life, we have video evidence of His mighty power, it can not be denied.
6:06 - 7:57
Busto gave you this plane to play with so that he could have his lovemaking in peace without being watched.
*obligatory comment about how soft these boys are*
The softest of boys
Dalton Castle would love these boys
Softness can be determined by boy to soft ratio. If S = soft and Pa·s = boy softness then 1 P = 0.1 Pa·s= 0.1 kg·m−1·s−1
I feel so bad when I see comments like this because little did y'all know that Nick was an awful person
ItsMsGamerGirl i agree. i just found out about what he did today and i feel so bad for the poor, innocent people of the past
At the end of times of the Polygonaverse, the great war shall be waged. Final Pam shall rise from the sea, riding atop a fully weaponized Metal Husband, while Trash Husband speaks grandiose things. Whats with polygon and their ability to make hyperpowerful godlike beings.
2001: A Space Odyssey is one of the most beautiful movies ever made, and this scene is why
Busto's strength is near its final level. Notice how Nick's god strength touch could not affect Busto near the end of this episode.
When the two dark pyramids appear you know it's over
man Busto's Stand has a huge range
The ending to 2001 a Space Odyssey is weirder than I remember
What can I say I just love these car boys
You know its a good car boys episode when the epilepsy warning is built into the title.
when it says epilepsy warning but you've been waiting too long for more car boys
The lore is so deep. That was Busto's kill aura, your punishment for peeping.
This series will always have a special place in my heart; Nick-Griffin, Thank You.
final pam and busto, name a more iconic duo, you cant
