I have so many but I am working on getting them done but I know once they are done, I will have more waiting.
I am planning on entering one of my lap quilts in the fair next month.
I have got to hone my skills and then find a pattern to work on. I have one in mind that is quilting and appliqueing.

Once they’re out of the house, parenting does end, but the relationship also changes. You are correct. BUT we never stop worrying about them either. 😢
That is 100% true. I worry more now than I ever did before since they don't come home at night and I know all is well in the neighborhood.

Parenting changes but never ends.
I guess maybe the parenting role has changed, now they are adults making their own decisions.
New subscriber here. I love that you keep it real. You admit mistakes and you keep going saying its gonna work. New to quilting we all make mistakes new or been doing it for years. Its nice to see and hear the mistakes. Thank you
Thank you and welcome! Yes, there are always mistakes but most things can always be fixed or adjusted. I have been quilting for a year this month but I am enjoying the journey and learning all the new things quilting.
Hi Cathy! Im catching up a little! Im disabled and have to take frequent breaks.
Somedays i cant do much at all so i wont be taking any classes or joining any guilds.
I took one class about 20 years ago and made a queen size quilt top.
But i had a flareup that put me in bed for 3 dats so i had to quit.
Its fine though. Ive got you and other RUclipsrs to keep me company and learn from.

That looks wonderful! I just ordered my fabric last night from an Etsy shop to start mine. I went to my local quilt shop first, and they didn't have what I needed. I was a little disappointed that the pattern didn't come with instructions (that I saw) for the pinwheels not using the paper. I am not a fan of the paper. Mine never came out right either and to me it's a waste of paper. I can't wait to see the finished quilt! Have a wonderful and Blessed weekend!

Beautiful job Cathy! You seem to be so patient with your sewing. Have you found the triangle sewing paper to be a great help? I plan on cleaning up my sewing room...but, another day I only did a little and walked out of the room.. SMH..LOL
It did work well but I am horrible at cutting because I know I sewed on the lines perfectly but my half square triangles did not turn out the right size. I know how to do them the standard way with a ruler and trimming BUT for a quick sew they were great.
Which do you like better the paper, the creative grids 45 / 90 ruler or with the standard way with ruler ?
@conniecruz3346 I think the standard way but that is probably because I have been doing it that way longer.
Were you able to purchase the finishing kit FQS usually has available for the boxes? Thank you for sharing your processes.
I was not able to get a finishing kit but my local quilt shop had what I needed to finish it.
Pastry Shop Quilt box sent the same panel in their box so now I have two panels. It is a pretty panel, but I do not need two of them.
I knew I had seen another box with it but couldn't remember which one. That is a box that I do not get.
@@myhobbyhomelife I have been getting it for a few months now. It comes every six weeks. I am not sure if I am going to continue getting it because the quilt blocks that make up the quilts are starting to look alike. The nice thing about the box is that it isn't too expensive and she includes the bulk of what you would need to make the quilt.

You don't like to watch unboxings? May I ask why?
I can imagine coming up with different blocks is hard to do every 6 weeks but I understand.
