- Picture your self doing shopping with a monkey ? Casually opening a window and finding a grinning monkey face gawking at you ? Or sharing a swimming pool with monkeys splashing around ? These fury critters are really versatile and highly adaptable ! But surely there must be a better place for them !

Wow - That was a fab video, @Mr AM! I love when you use the maps to help us navigate! From the city dwellers to the country hillbilly monkeys, it really is a lot of land around HK that we aren't really aware of as viewers (unless we have checked the area out online, ourselves... 😉)!
And as @ML_SE commented on, maybe some of of our 'lost' monkeys have indeed found new 'hunting grounds' away from Monkey Hill.🤞

Thank you AM. This was an excellent video showing civilization vs the wild relating to our furry friends. It’s like when we encroach and build in the habitat of wild animals in reverse.
This is why I still believe monkeys we've haven't seen for a long time are still alive. Like Stumpy who was gone for a few years suddenly showed up one day 2024.

They say that there are too many monkeys and their numbers should be reduced. I think the problem is not with the monkeys. Humanity has overpopulated and is taking all habitat from animals and building everything. There are not too many monkeys, but the number of their habitats has decreased drastically. The remaining area is small and many monkeys have to share the small remaining space.
Thank you Mr AM for the absolutely fascinating video and your long trip to bring it to us all, it does raise so many questions about the future of these wonderful animals and their family's bloodlines .

These cute little guys are adorable playing on cars and getting into businesses when they’re not your car or business I would only assume. I can’t help but think about how unhygienic them coming into the stores would be. We don’t get to see the nuisance that they cause outside of monkey Hill, thank you for showing us. I mean if you lived on the top floor of a building the last thing you would expect is a macaque at your door.
People shouldn’t feed them then complain when they go after you if you have food and they can see it.
I think they have a lot of problems with visitors and them not abiding by the rules.

The small troop doesn’t seem to have any babies or yearlings. And to Meals on Wheels there.
So are the cows free range as well? No owners?
Will all the drivers were driving too fast and tailgating each other it wouldn't have taken much for that to happen

Hi Deb. This is such a shame. The actions of one troop can so seriously affect another troop. Although it is kind of fun to see them in the swimming pool.
