I did leave him high and dry because he doesn't ask his ex wife for financial support for their teenagers he has custody of but he accepted then began to depend on my financial assistance. I gave suggestions on how to avoid financial challenges, prepared meals for him to make, etc and he made a choice i didn't agree with more than once. I told him he would need to initiate contact with me to rebuild trust but he's used to me being the easy one. Not this time. Three conversations with the consequences is enough.
