  • Skyline Blvd is a staple road in San Francisco Bay area for any road-going enthusiast. The road strides a ridge of Santa Cruz Mountains and has everything: smooth, bumpy, wide, narrow, tight, sweeping turn, great views of the valley and the hills, woods and a glimpse of ocean on a good day.
Regardless of which section you choose, consider other users of the road. Weekends are full of cars driving to parks and hikes, there are motorcyclists and cyclists on the road. A lot of wildlife show up in the mornings and evenings, like a herd of deer at 2:24 today. Be safe!
This time I drive from Black Rd towards Highway 9. If you choose to drive the other way around, be very careful - a transition from wide-fast to narrow-slow Skyline past Black Rd is very abrupt. If you meant to turn to Black Rd, it's too easy to blow by the turn, be very conservative there.
