The Bad Batch's names (according to Omega) are, Hunta, Tick, Ricka, Icko, and Crossheh.
Don't forget Oohmeegah 🤣
@@wo1fythedev Oarmiiga
Reminds me of my childhood in rural central africa. Local names always ended with vowels. So my name, Simon, became Simoni my brother Mathias was called Mathiasi my dad Kim was Kimu and my mom Annette got to keep her name! LOL
Tek imo
This comment is very underrated
You remembered Cut and his family from the Grievous duology? Nice …
Especially since they seem to ignore seasons one and two so much
It’s wild to me they remember that but not Caleb lol. Especially because they watched Rebels closer to watching this
@blitz1904 I can understand why they don't know because they don't talk to much about his realy name in Rebels
@@acdragonrider I will never blame someone for ignoring early seasons of Clone Wars.
26:06 That was actually mentioned already in Clone Wars once that Jango Fetts DNA is degrading. And it meant, that the Kaminoans aren‘t able anymore to produce further clones at some point.
Could they not clone the clones’ DNA?
Why do they care though? The best thing about Jango was his equipment. And what's with the blond hair on Omega? Obi wan visited Kamino...hmmmm
@@BenWillyums Obi wan saw that long neck and needed to get some lol
@@dibsdibs3495 it would still be worst, because it has already been cloned before.
@@BenWillyums Omega's blonde hair is a reference to Jango's sister from Legends which means that Jango has recessive blonde hair genes.
7:26 That creature type was also in the Geonosis arena in Star Wars Episode II.
Nexu!
Yes nice Im excited to watch this one.
All twi'leks have a native French accent, even hera in rebels slipped into it whenever she got super emotional around her father.
yeah, and Omega clearly have genes from Down Under! LOL
They were doing a "French Resistance" thing in CW.
@@JokerInk-CustomBuildswell yea, all of the clones in animation have an australian accent, although temuera morrison in live action is from new zealand
@@JokerInk-CustomBuildsdown under adjacent lmao
@@Nicloutomega is also kiwi
Cool fact, Omega's blonde hair is an homage to Temuera Morrison's sister Taini Morrison who past away. She was a Famous Kapa Haka performer in New Zealand.
I wonder if this is why Jango's sister in Legends also had blonde hair.
@@captaincoolbreeze9429Almost certainly, which then ties an in universe reason for it as well, on that note I believe I read Rex has blond hair, you just can't tell 'cause he has a shaved head.
@@medafan53 He shaved and bleached his hair.
The reason this show feels more adult is because they know that the main audience for it isn't going to be kids, it's going to be the now adults who grew up watching clone wars and rebels as kids.
What I like about the Bad Batch is it helps bridge the gap between the Clones and Storm Troopers
More like the Dad Batch!

"...I didn't know"
Perfect face. Perfect voice. I died laughing
Honestly y’all shouldn’t have even addressed that opening part with Kanan, just keep the joke running and watch the fanbase go crazy in the comments 😂
Impressed that you remembered that family. Also the species of that beast that attacks the farm is on attack of the clones. It was in the Geonosian arena. It slashed Padmé’s back
The nexu
The Caleb thing was funny. I was thinking of commenting but I knew dozens would anyway. I'm happy that you're enjoying this series so far and can't wait until it gets spicy. Would say try to remember your Kaminoan history with the Jedi a bit.
Kanan and his master were even in an episode of Star Wars Tales. The second Ashoka episode when she’s training with droids and young Kanan is the one watching her in awe.
He’s also in Clone Wars during the final season he’s standing in on a hologram meeting.
spoilers for them bruh
@@TexGaming they’ve seen Star Wars Tales, bruh.
Tales of the Jedi*
Ahsoka*
@@ManiacsWord Maybe we haven't
And now you see that the Bad Batch pulls no punches regarding violence.
And Crosshair is literally an Imperial trooper Clint Eastwood.
The "cool creature" at the beginning was also seen in the arena in Attack of the Clones.
A nexu.
I know lots of people who didn’t remember Kanans original name Caleb Dume and therefore couldn’t make the connection.
But Freddie Prince Jr. honestly did such bad impression to sound younger (Nothing against Freddie Prince Jr. by the way) I recognized his voice instantly.
But maybe that‘s just me …
He just had an interview where he said he didn't want to return for bad batch or rise of Skywalker for cameos, he felt like they undercut his death in rebels and he only took part because he felt he owed favors and now as he says all those favors are up. Pretty interesting to hear his side I was also really thrown off by his voice.
The build up of the finale in Rebels right after Kenan death where Ezra kept seeing Lothworlfs who kept saying Doom and he explains later Caleb fullname was Caleb Doom is pretty memorable.
Also Kenan himself also reveals his name was Caleb but he had to change soon after order 66 to survive.
Anyone who watched Rebels should remember that.
6:56 It‘s a Nexxu from the arena in attack of the clones.
7:05 Most of them are. I think even Hera had that accent at times in Rebels.
Yep. It came out when she was arguing with her father.
24:01 Remeber, Clone Wars had multiple decapitation scenes. But I agree, this was sort of on that level.
After watching the first two seasons, I can honestly say the "Bad Batch is some of my favorite Star Wars content. I am hyped for season 3...glad you're watching it!
Omega is a core piece of the BB. Hope she grows on you over time.
Kids always hit my soft spot
She has yet to grow on me
Take a shot every time someone says something in ancillary Star Wars will "grow on you" or "wait for that one random moment 7 seasons from now that connects to this moment in season 5 of this other show that'll make it all worth you wasting 300 hours of your life". I'm dead now.
@@DLites151 right? They should have learned by now, they need to stop making things that will grow on us
They don't@@user-jt1js5mr3f
😂
Jen's like, "Omega doesn't even go here".
Thanks for that intro. I was waiting for your response. Had me in giggles especially the pups. 😂😂 And you can keep your SW card. Also, its Three Men and a Baby.
Just so you know omega’s accent is New Zealand not Australian she’s the same as boba obv ,and you guys were talking about how she don’t have skills that she brings but in the first episode she was the only one small enough to get them out of the cell so you’ll see she’s got more than you think
Great reaction guys!! Also that intro has me rolling!! 🤣 I just adore the Batch and I’m so happy to see your reactions!
That Star Wars card is still in jeopardy, Holden. Not recognizing a Nexu or remembering that Twi'leks spoke with a french accent in the Clone Wars. ;) (I'm teasing of course.)
Bruh it literally sounded like a young Kanan lol literally the 1st time the episode aired I screamed 🤣
Btw those aren't Cut's kids. Not only the timeline doesn't fit (this is little more 3 years after Attack of the Clones) and it has been confirmed they're from a previous relationship. Also Kanan and Hera's kid looks wildly different for a human/twi'lek hybrid.
So their his wife’s kids but it’s the same wife from clone wars
no its 10 years after ep 2
In Lucas canon, they are Cut's kids who grew fast due to the accelerated aging.
@@JoshuaNelson-kl5zb 10 years? There is only between 3 to 4 years from Attack of the Clones to Revenge of the Sith. Bad Batch literally begins at the end of Revenge of the Sith.
@@JoshuaNelson-kl5zb no the clone wars was canonically only 3 years long. Ahsoka would be 24 years old if it was 10 years after attack of the clones. She’s in her mid-teens throughout the entirety of the clone wars. The time between phantom menace and attack of the clones is ten years, if thats where you’re getting confused.
Only the Regs refer to them as "defective". They are actually "Enhanced". Omega is also enhanced.
They are both; they are defective clones but the defects were advantagous, like how red-green colourblindness can help soldiers distinguish green camoflague from the natural environment. The Kaminoians decided to strengthen their defects rather than dispose of them or reassign them like 99
The thing that you have to remember about the bad batch is that the bad batch was produced after season 7 of the Clone Wars. So at the point that they produced bad batch season 1 they had already done 10 seasons of Star Wars CG animation from Clone Wars all the way up to the end of rebels then they did season 7 and while they were working on season 7 they started doing work on the bad batch. So that is why the CG seems to be such a huge improvement over the first season of those two earlier shows. Also much like Clone Wars season 7 they had a significant budget in comparison to the first season of rebels or the first season of Clone Wars. With regards to the content a lot of people have been lukewarm with regards to the bad batch which I do kind of understand given the fact that it is so close to essentially being a clone show. But I also think that the timeline is very crucial because we get to see the immediate aftermath of the transfer of power from the Republic into the Galactic Empire setting things up for future shows such as Rebels while still calling back to before the dark times with having characters who so freshly remember the execution of the Jedi. And I am so glad that the production staff managed to bring back Cut and his family since we haven't seen them since the first four seasons of Clone Wars when they did that dual episode arc. Which by the way very much confirms the thing that I had said all the way back during your Rebels reaction which is there is no such thing as filler even if people call it that given that Dave wastes nothing and anything that you see in an episode will eventually come back even if it takes close to 15 years
Omega's accent is not Australian, it's New Zealand - us Aussies can always distinguish between us and the Kiwis :)
Cut's wife has a striking resemblance to Widowmaker from Overwatch. Especially with the rifle.
I think it was around this point that the show started picking up the nickname "The Dad Batch".
Also, it's been said that Omega is inspired by Temuera Morrison's sister, Taini, who passed away in 2009.
Jen, 3 Men and a Baby is a Leronard Nimoy film, remake of a French movie by the translation of the same title basically.
Any matter from any molecule will eventually degrade with any given time, DNA is not exception, on the contrary, as it's more complex, it won't last as long as simpler amino acids found on asteroids or comets.
I will NEVER tire of hearing Holden quote, “Bor Gullet!” I look forward to it every time! XD
Caleb also was in one of the last episodes of Clone Wars - as a hologram. And in the background of the Ahsoka training episode of Tales of the Jedi - in child form.
Yeah Jen, I hear ya on that one!! Ever since the series premiere really, The Bad Batch has instantaneously became my 2nd favorite Star Wars show of ALL time! A VERY close second behind The Clone Wars, it's SOO good and contributes A TON MORE to the overall Star Wars saga while also being JUST AS dark, gritty and unique as The Clone Wars, if not DARKER at times!! :)
Holden: THEY WANT THEM TO SUFFER!?!!
Jen: ..very efficient…
0:31 Lol, it sounds exactly like him. In fact when the episode came out people complained because Freddie Prinze Jr sounded too much like older Kanan and hence too old to be a 14 year old.
Vice-Admiral Rampart is interesting because he's an administrator in a high position of authority. A pencil pusher with big ideas make for truly insidious villains. These two lovable Americans figuring out Kiwi speak is funny, you would think another accent would not be a big deal but I guess one so thick is novel.
16:53 It's a Kiwi accent, her actor is from New Zealand.
22:04 "It's puhfikt! Iht even hes a turrit gun!"
The Kaminoans are basically coming to terms with the realization that they have been betrayed and played for fools by Palpatine. Palpatine promised the Kaminoans permanent Contracts to produce Clones for his future Empire as well as a place of Power and Influence in the new Order for helping him kill the Jedi, but they are coming to realize that Palpatine never had any plan to honor the deal......
I would like to say that one of the funny things brought up frequently after the first episode of the Bad Batch is how Freddy Prinze Jr. doesn't do a very good job at making himself sound younger so we get a 14 year-old kid sounding like an grown man lmao
Any episode with Crosshair is phenomenal, and he is by far my favorite character in the show
Keep uploaded the bad batch idek u guys posted another one already i love it
The second y’all didn’t recognize Caleb I knew it was over. Lmao☠️
perfect intro to this week. Made me chuckle.
"Doesn't sound like him" 😂
Ma man, it was grown ass Freddy voicing him as a kid. If you didn't know it was FPJ voice, it should have been weird hearing old voice coming out of a young kid character.
The issue with the cloning is that the Cloners have been cloning the clones. So they are making copies of Copies Of Copies. Hence the DNA degrading.
Xerox of a xerox
Did you notice that the cool looking creature was the same type of animal that Padem fought in Attack of the Clones ?
I took your card the minute your face didn’t light up at the mention of the name😢😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
Fun fact: hunter is based off the native American in predator, he has enhanced tracking abilities. A lot of people think hes based on Rambo but thats not who hes based on
You guys should consider checking out the 2D Clone Wars. The episodes came out from 2003-2005 between Episodes 2 and 3, but all the small episodes were combined into two 1 hour movies. It's very different but interesting in comparing its differences to 3D Clone Wars. In the first one, part of it is basically multiple battles by different Jedi on the same day that are extremely drawn out(in a good way) and use a lot of storytelling without a lot of dialogue but still very compelling.
That is a Nexu from Attack of the Clones. The cat monster that was was going to execute Padme in the Geonosian arena.
Holden: Just kill it
Me: welp guess Holden can be Crosshair for next Halloween 😂
fun fact about star wars, you dont need to draw out a whole galaxy map, you just play "Empire at war" and take that galaxy map instead.
Bad Batch may be "Three Clones, and a Little Lady", which I love, but it is also legit hard-core. I love this show.
Hmm, Omega doesn't have any special skills eh?
In the 80s was a TV show called my two dads the men work day and then if you go back to the 60s it was a TV show called my three sons about dad and his uncle raising three boys
If you guys haven't watched it already there is another sci-fi series that goes a bit more in depth with the problem that the kaminoans are having with the genetic material from Jango. And that is the Stargate franchise there is a race in there that is only able to breed through cloning and their genetic structures are breaking down because they are degrading because of how frequently the samples have been cloned. The best analogy that I can use aside from those who have already used a computer analogy is a Xerox of a Xerox. So when you Xerox something you're making copy but if you were to copy that initial copy the more times you do that the more the picture will fade in terms of coloration. This is the same basic premise as what's happening to the sample from Jango Fett. Which at this point would make Boba extremely valuable considering the fact that he is a pure replication of Jango's cells
My mind went to Facebook. When people would post the same photos over and over (before videos), then the compression starts up show degrading the quality.
Hahaha! Well done you guys!
I love watching your Star Wars reactions!
Nice correction re Caleb ..
There is Alpha and Omega. Alpha is Boba Fett. Omega is the female version or sister of Boba Fett. She does not have the advanced growing like the others.
In terms of 'degrading' that actually makes a lot of sense. Jango Fettis dead, so they can't use the original dna sample, and with every cloning process there's always gonna be a slight altering/percentagedrop in matching. The process is so complex that degradation is inevitable without live subject to clone from.
It's what happened to the Asguard on Stargate SG-1.
Omg that intro was amazing
The creature that attacks Omega is the same kind as the one that attacked Padime in the arena from Attack of the Clone
Following your journey through the SW timeline/universe is really fun. :) All of the clones have a New Zealand accent, including the Bad Batch and Omega as Timura Morrison (Kiwi) was the original physical and vocal representation of the clones in SW: EP2 - Attack of the Clones
HOLDEN!! Remember in Attack of the Clones, the Kaminoans were explaining to Obi-Wan they had Jango check in on Kamino to supply them with regular DNA samples, and why he basically kept an Apt there!! And to think Omega should be around the same age as Boba! 🤔
Or the exact same age.
You guys secretly hate kids, Ahsoka, Ezra, Sabine and now Omega 😂 it’s ok my wife secretly hate kids too
So, clones. From a computer point of view, you can clone an image. Over and over. But it will degrade with every copy of a copy. Oddities will be introduced. It’s so simple to understand that out of 1 billion bytes, or more, that each clone of the image misses a few, or confuses them and repairs them into becoming something else. At some point the image will no longer be valid. In the case of clones from
The original image only, perhaps the kaminoans did not anticipate stretching the sample this far. As Jango himself died. They were supposed to have access to him, but with him gone they have to probably do what Jurassic park did and fill in gaps to stretch what they have.
Besides the computer analogy the other analogy that I've seen people use is a Xerox of a Xerox
Not even recognizing Kanan's lightsaber hilt...🫣🫣
All hail Jesus Christ for giving us Holdan Hardman and his family ❤
The creature at 7:00 is the same creature in attack of the clones when obi wan an anikin are in the colosium
F9, F10? Random bad batch outta nowhere
According to Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia, which is considered canon, there are 3.2 million habitable planets in the Skyriver galaxy (That's the name of the Star Wars galaxy). Edit: Although I think the Star Wars wiki has it at 3.2 billion from Legends novels, I don't think that number is canon any longer.
They usually say that star wars is seen through the droid R2-D2 and C-3PO eyes, the bad batch is in sense seen through this childs Omegas eyes. I mean shes naive, she a normal kid. While they made Ahsoke really annoying, I dont think they did Omega as annoying. She seesm to wanna do right, but just because she is a kid, her will to help sometimes getting over. I like Omega too, but not as much as Ahsoka. She isnt this amazing person like Rey, or any other female actor they wanna push in movies sometimes these days. Shes a normal kid, wich I do like.
The sample of his DNA that Jango gave has been used up in the raw state so future clones will be less. Hints that clone from clone DNA is failing so that would mean I alter DNA like Boba and Omega are fresh raw samples that can be used.
Love that we see Stormtroopers that are lethal and skilled. Brutal seeing them massacre folks but gives them a threat level rather than the joke troopers that can’t hit a thing. Sure these are elite recruits and as the trooper expand more hacks get in but darn nice to see them as hardcore.
The clones arent defective. They're enhanced. Like mutants. Not a spoiler as it's just a theory but Omega is probably force sensitive. This likely plays in the storyline of Palpatine getting his clone.
you guys SHOULD do a series on TAKEN
Its degrading in the sense that theyve made so many generations of clones that over time they are starting to lose efficiency and the original complete profile
Wasn't that one of the creatures in the Geonosis arena in Attack of The Clones? It looks like the same species as the one that scratched Padmé.
This episode and others going forward actually cover some important topics of government oversight such as universal ID monitoring, centrally controlled currency that can be tracked and frozen, and the freedom of movement.
2 days straight :0, a surprise to be sure, but a welcomed one
Clones have accelerated growth from birth kinda like dog years, so they degrade and age quickly and don't have a long life span in general ! So when there young, they have superior skills like the donor but over time decrease in abilities. That's why Clone Troopers were replaced by Stormtroopers ( who are human conscripts ) which accounts for their poor abilities ! Clone Troopers are basically Mandalorians without jet packs and Vespar armor !
Guys, it's three men and a baby, the third man is Kanan lol, can't believe you missed him again!
Two shows that I think they'll enjoy is Netflix Arcane and Amazon's Invincible
i cant believe i just now learned that the padawan was kanan after aLL THIS TIME
Omega might be up there with Lilo for one of the best kid characters in animation. I know people are split on her, and I was ready to hate her because I could see the corporate manipulation . But most kid characters are either completely obnoxious or might as well just be adults. You don't usually see realistic child characters. She's going to make mistakes, she doesn't know the dangers of the world, she's a bit naive and overly optimistic, she gets emotional. But at the same time, she incredibly curious, she learns quickly, she never complains though she's not afraid to voice her opinion, and she's completely genuine. You know when she makes a mistake it's coming from a place of wanting to help
As a comparison, Ezra drove me nuts in Rebels, but then we saw him grown up. Ahsoka was a little bit on the bratty side, but we saw her grow up. I'm ok if Omega doesn't grow up because I love watching her how she is. I'm not waiting for her to get better, though I'm looking forward to seeing it
Everytime a DNA strand is copied (or cloned) for cell division, it shrinks. That could be the degradation they elude to. 😊
Yes he is voiced by Freddie
The Twi'lek species is an interesting and sad one in Star Wars. Their planet sells their people into slavery as a way to spread from planet to planet, in a way it ensures their species survival.
That creature in episode 2 is the same one from attack of the clones
In Star Wars twileks are French remember?
0:30 it did sound like him
BEEN WAITING FOR THIIIIIIIIIIS
Nala Se wasnt in the movies. In the movies it was Taun We
“R2 could do it better”, leave my boy echo alone he’s trying his best
Cutter's children are adopted. They may actually be older than him.
That's funny you say he sounds different. There was actually some controversy that people were mad it sounded too much like the original character, and they should've pitched up Freddy prince. 😅
Because youth
While I'll give you that it doesn't look like Kanan, they literally got FPJ to reprise and he barely changed his voice at ALL lol
If you watch the first ep back Caleb actually sounds exactly the same. I think it was the same va
