Adobe After Effects 17.0 (AE 2020) is a digital visual effects, motion graphics, and compositing application developed by Adobe Systems and used in the post-production process of filmmaking and television production. CINEMA 4D R21 is a 3D modeling, animation, motion graphic and rendering application developed by MAXON Computer GmbH in Germany. It is capable of procedural and polygonal/subd modeling, animating, lighting, texturing, rendering, and common features found in 3D modeling applications.

OMG how I wish thsi video was posted sooner I had to try a lot before learning this stuff ! You just made it look easier XD
At 9:45 when you change one of the viewports to perspective to avoid moving the camera, you can instead go into options on the Octane Live Viewer and untick "check camera" which will tell octane not to update the camera which will allow you to move around in C4D without affecting the camera in Octane.

This is great, I'm a Redshift user but trying to go deep in Octane. Collaborating with other 3D artists can sometimes be a hassle because most of them use octane.

After compared many engines and looking at my budget I decided to go with Octane 1- cheaper 2- SEEMS less complicated, Sure Unreal looks the best but is the most expensive too. My wonder is how do you understand all those settings to make it as perfect as you want? Also, I can't move the octane viewer window it doesn't dock and place by itself either what can I do to understand HOW TO USE IT PROPERLY?

I'm actually surprised that you didn't use Redshift over the Octane, since now it's part of Maxon. Btw will be in future a tutorial for modeling something realistic like car?
I'm not sure. Those take a really long time to do. Maybe a multipart series but we'll see!
Hey Mobox,could please explain after downloading the material from the live DB. I don't know where to get it and how to apply the material.
If you clicked the download button it gets in your material manager at the bottom of the screen like regular ones would too (not in the livedb window).
Then you just drag and drop the thumbnail on your object.
Does Octane work with Cinema 4D R25? I'm having difficulty with the process.
My LiveDB folder has no materials in it?

Yes. Gotta time it correctly like any subscription of course and make sure you pick the monthly billing instead of yearly.
