@@johnthomas8532 wa alaykum assalam! Certainly, Imam Ibn ‘Ashur’s Tafsir is preceded by ten chapters by way of introduction. Together, they elaborate not only his own methodology, but key issues in understanding and interpreting the Quran. We are translating and annotating these to help promote deeper understanding of the field. The plan is to publish that as a combined volume along with التفسير ورجاله a history of the genre written by al-Fadil Ibn ‘Ashur (son of al-Tahir).
Beautiful documentary. Allah accept the shaykh’s works and allow us to follow in his footsteps of “having reverence for the tradition and the courage to be creative!” ❤
