  • During an episode of the Politically Speaking Hour on @stlonair, state Sen. @billeigel answered listener questions about his plan to pare down property taxes, and work with people with divergent viewpoints.
The Weldon Spring Republican also fielded a question about what he would do to help LGBTQ Missourians feel safe and prosperous. He replied “there's a real trap here to fall into this mindset of we're just going to help one division of people over another, or maybe at the expense of others.”
Instead, Eigel contended that some of his policies, including curtailing the foreign ownership of farmland and cracking down on illegal immigration, would benefit all Missourians regardless of someone’s background or where they’re from.
“If we're being honest, the policies that I'm talking about are going to be good for everyone,” Eigel said.
You can listen to Eigel’s entire Politically Speaking Hour conversation with @jasonrosenbaum by going to stlpr.org or wherever you find your St. Louis on the Air podcasts.

I really appreciate Bill Eigel's determination to not show partiality to any special interests.
