You dont time up the engine with the flywheel locking pin?
No need to on the TDCI. The pump is not timed the tool is just to replicate the tension that’s lost when the pump is removed. You need to lock the flywheel on the TDDI
Is there a keyway on the sprocket and the shaft?
Like a woodruff key? No there isn’t. It’s a compression fit and not timed so can sit anywhere on the shaft. Hope this helps

@@ferdiyurdakul no problem. The 2.2 and 2.4 TDCI are not timed pumps but the 2.4 TDDI ( earlier transit engine ) is timed. Good luck
