I just did following your steps! Everything working fine! The only thing I noticed was an traction control error as soon I clicked "write"... After that just turned off and on my Maverick and everything was OK! Eco and Sport mode there! Thanks!!! PS: I'm curious to test the ABS.....🤪

Why not turn on the engine? The adapter instructions say engine must “prrr”
Could u please provide ABS asbuilt set up. ? It'd work on the Ranger model as well. but there is only ABS as built on the menu list.

Would this be something that your local mechanic or dealership can do as well? I too am very disappointed that mine doesn’t have those two modes.
I’m not sure if they would, but I definitely would not pay someone to do this. It is really easy to do you are just simply unlocking it. All mavs I think have all the modes just ford locked some depending on what model you buy

Hey brother! What u think of the Maverick Tremor? I have one on order.
I think it’s pretty cool. Just a few things that I didn’t like about it is the reduced payload (1,200lbs) and towing capacity (2,000lbs).
I thought those modes are in it already
The truck has all the modes. Different trims have certain ones unlocked. My fx4 package didn’t come with sport or eco. So I unlocked them.

Definitely worth it. Just make sure that you get any recalls fixed beforehand. Took mine in last week and the dealer reset the abs and deleted eco and sport mode. Going to have to unlock it again.
if you have TREMOR package Check inside the ABS module config.( same as for the Sport and eco mode) under " Suspension Type" lmk what value yours is set to, if like mine you prolly wanna change it off the nothing selected, to " SPECIAL" or the "Advanced"
Finally got it. 24 was too new. Forscan added it.

Hello- the only reason why you have to turn it off is to have all of the drive modes. If you turn it on, you will only be limited to the amount that comes stock with the truck.

@@xxUncleBuckxx no you don’t. It’s just the name of the module. You are not disabling your abs breaking system
Not to sound stupid but if you add the other drives modes does it affect your warranties or anything. Any downsides?
Don’t sound stupid at all. Not from what I have read. The truck already has them installed but are off. You’re just turning them on. Ford would have to prove that by you turning them on, it did something to cause the warranty to be void. Like if you had some electronic problem with your truck and you took it in, they would
Have to prove that by you turning the modes on did something to cause the electrical problem. That’s is if they even notice it turned on. Highly doubt it. But yea.

From what I have read and have done, it does not. The truck already had the drive modes, and I just unlocked them.
I have a 2022 F350 dually with the 7.3 gas engine and it doesn't come with sport mode option. A friend told me if you double click the traction control button it will go to sport mode. He was right, it works.
Interesting. I wonder if I would have done that to mine if it would have turned it on.

I should have mentioned that in the video, but the abs sdm is “selectable drive mode”. This limits you to a set number of drive modes. When you disable it, you can have all of the drive modes on your truck.

How is the truck doing have you had any issues? I have a 2024 XLT FX4 that I would like to add eco and sport. Also what kind of MPGs do you get in the new modes?
Truck is doing great. No mechanical problems to date. I drive in traffic 5 days a week so I’m getting crap mileage. I did go on a road trip and I was getting 35-37 on highway. The streets I am getting 25 mpg on a good day. Normal has been around 22-23 with traffic

I believe so. Just have to see what you have. I’m pretty sure all the modes come standard on the truck.

Non fx4 package should have the eco and sport mode
The Tremor also has them turned off, I will try to add them back when I get it. I have to use eco in my Hybrid to get good mpg and sport ot rocket 🚀 ship mode.

On my XL Hybrid I call sport mode Juice mode. Being an ECVT it just goes 🚀.
I’m trying to find out how to disable the double honk whenever you have a keys on you and you leave.
That is really annoying. I have to unlock the modes again and will be making a better video with no glare soon. I will look into the horn situation and do a vid on that as well

I’m sure it will lol it’s the same engine and stuff. Just gotta go in the system and see what it has!

@@redefinecycles yes i do. Before eco, I was averaging 22-23mpg. Now I’m between 26-28 street and hwy with traffic
Why disable abs?
You aren’t disabling the actual abs system just disabling the set amount of drive modes you have that was limited from ford
So you have to disable the ABS in order to enable Sport and Eco mode. Does it mean you just have regular brakes, since abs module is now disabled?
No I still have abs. I just disabled it bc it limits you to only a set number of drive modes
@@JOSHIC I may have to look into doing this with my FX4 Maverick. It was pretty strange that only some of the models have eco and sport.

Curious, is it possible to enable FX4 settings such as sand, ruts etc on an XLT AWD?
I’m pretty sure all vehicles come equipped with all drive modes. You would just have to plug it in and see what you got!

after you choose modes around 4min 25 sec mark you said just write, but didnt point out where? did i miss something?
It’s at the bottom where the disconnect and connect buttons are it’s a button that says “write”

so.. the Lariat model of Maverick does not have those enabled and my 2022, XL has it enabled? I find this weird decision making on the part of Ford when making these trucks.
It does not due to the fact that I have the fx4 package.

@@VinceAwesomeGaming unfortunately the modes are disabled when you get the off road package. It is silly but I got them all now!
@@JOSHIC yep and awesome. Enjoy… now enjoy the fact you have to keep clicking them on each time you drive cause Ford made it go back to default each time. Though you can install a mod to fix it

I ran through the process and the eco and sport are showing but it says not available when I try to engage it. Any suggestions?
Did you disable the abs?

Hi and to whom it may concern. I like this tutorial, but I was unable to get the data cable you recommend to even connect to my laptop after it's plugged into my Maverick. The Forscan app opens up, but it just shows "not connected" at the lower bottom left of the app and I don't know why? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do.

@@JOSHIC Hey thanks for your speedy reply. I appreciate it. Yes, I did, the exact same one. And I connected it to my PC laptop and I had downloaded the forescan software and I got the special code to get the 2 months free and when I follow the instructions it just says not connected at the bottom off the app and I'm not sure why
@@peekaypee1 I would try Plugging the OBDLink into a different USB port,
Connect the OBDLink via a USB 2.0 hub,
Manually install the FTDI USB drivers. Make sure all drivers are up to date on computer and link cable.
If none of the above solutions work, I’d contact OBDLink Support and see what they say
