- Hello and welcome back to Bookish Theories! :D WE JUST REACHED 14K SUBSCRIBERS!!!! I'm so happy, you guys, thank you so much for all your love and support! 💖 I'll keep working harder and harder for you!
For those of you who missed SHADOW MEANING EXPLAINED, you can watch it here! • BTS SUGA Interlude: SH...
Luv u! :3
I highly respect BTS and BIGHIT for their passion and artistry. Who says being an entertainer is not an ART. WOW! the hardwork they put to come up with these mindblowing ideas! 👏👏👏
Thank you also for interpreting it way better than we can do. 😅👍💜
This convinces me that my theory that their whole career has been mapped out from the beginning is correct.
me too... lols
Not necessarily. A good writer will know how to find concepts and art that link to previous content. Remember PD Bang studied aesthetics, so he would be familiar with a lot of this from his interests, and the members and other BigHit production staffs have their own. Once you get people like that in a room together you can do great things. Coming from a creative and marketing background, I see that happening at BigHit. How could they know BTS would extend their contract?
Angela Sealana I agree. Bang PDnim has said he used to give them higher goals to shoot for but he doesn’t do that for them anymore. He said at GDA that his role as their leader now is to give them the freedom to be themselves. Of course he said it way better 😁
I wouldn't say that their career was mapped out from the beginning. It's that BTS as a whole talk about this with their company, they really do work together to come up with these concepts.
Basquiat is one of my favourite artists of all time, BTS making armys study harder than school 🤯🤯🤯
Not only am I enjoying BTS , I am also learning . Inspiring me to learn more.
While some theories are hard to understand and all over the place, yours is different I can understand it very well. Thank you so much for this.
Thank you so much!! 💜🙏🏻 I really appreciate it!
Yes, I second that! 😁👍
Just a theory: the name Yoongi means "Shine" right? So when he says to not let him shine, could it be a parable for him rejecting his true self (the one where more shadows are visible)?
OOH the thorn crown immediately reminded me of a while ago when a jewellery maker (?) on instagram posted a picture of a crown of thorns they apparently made for BTS, plus the crown symbol links to the concept of a king, and Jimin posted that picture on weverse where he wrote "king" in korean, so most likely the single or title track will use a king concept as well 🤯
thanks for the info ;)
& don't forget JK's crown tattoo
edit: I almost forgot, Namjoon wears a crown in Spring Day MV, which btw has a thumbnail pic so similar to Interlude: SHADOW's that I keep almost clicking on it when I go to play SHADOW
@@kristinajones2174 What about the crown Taehyung wears in the Golden Disk Awards 2020 VCR: CITY DIONYSIA BEGINS? There's just a lot of things going on with crowns. Also, txt has a song called Crown, although that might be a bit different.
@@AwakeningWings That's right! How did I forget Tae?! And I think BigHit has big plans for the little brothers too.
@@kristinajones2174 :) Some of the other members were wearing headdresses/crowns like Jin with the pearls, Jimin with the snake, and Jungkook with the vines. Yeah, agreed they are also connected with BTS's concept. And BTS's project of Connecting art and artists for their new album. I think txt’s concepts are more about imagination, a collective imagination since there is more than one member. Carl Jung talked about active imagination. Jung had dreams and visions, txt uses this in a lot of their videos; the dreams/visions one of the boy’s have.
"There's a crown on my head"
Seriously bighit has its own multi universe already planned with BTS and TXT and any future artists it will have. This is just one of many ways they cross, things are starting to unravel and I love it. What's great is that we can enjoy each piece if art by itself without needing to know the others, but we can also connect it to each other and that's a beautiful thing. I'm excited for all future art!
You channel is so underrated
I mean YOU R GENIUS
I love the way you notice every single detail
And how you organize all the ideas one by one making everything easy to understand and just...right
This is the best shadow explanation i watched on youtube
I love youuu smh keep going girlll
Your*
Thank you so much!! 🥺💜 I’ll keep working hard! :D 💪🏻
I agree. I have seen other videos to explain the BTS theories but they are not comparable to your detailed and informative videos. You have a deeper insight and understanding and relay the information in simple way for many to understand. Thank you.
Amazing! And considering that Namjoon is so interested in art, I can see how these references could be intentional.
I also had a thought that the red substance could be a literal depiction of the 'Blood Sweat and Tears' ... not only due to the hints and tropes relating to Wings, but also to symbolise the emotional and physical toll that BTS' current position can have on the members (along with all the wonderful things of course)
Thankyou so much!
I actually feel all the tracks of 7 is going to be linked to each of their era musically, lyrically and also connecting the story.
Before the comeback trailer, , and there was a release of house of cards in bangtan TV
And now we can see relation to ORUL82,
AND the past meets present.
So maybe they will be comparing their personas and shadows throughout their journey.
This is just what I feel, after I watched your theories.
Purple you 💜💜
House of cards? If you mean the song itself bangtan TV has all of there music since they are recognized as a artist on RUclips.
@@lotus4636 no.. If you check, there is a house of cards instrumental which they released out of nowhere, which was weird
ruclips.net/video/sBNhayH9VFM/видео.html
Check it out 💜💜
@@MS-bx5vg bighit and bts twisting our minds into pretzels!:)
@@MS-bx5vg I think I've heard it. It was uploaded last year.
it enriches their art so much to have these artistic references and inspirations pointed out.such solid references for your analysis.
damn i really wanna see that room with the human statues, i feel like it'd be so eerie. on the other hand that red block being pushed through doorways to mold itself actually scares me a bit. and i wonder where one can actually go see the drawings and paintings?
Oh your work is really underrated..
Your mind is just amazing..
I have a hard time analysing psychological matters but yours is easy to understand..
Seriously, how often did you have to watch this to see some of these details?! mind=blown. WOW.
Girl, you just keep blowing my mind. This connects so well with all your previous videos about Dionysus and them using their artistic 'flame' to explore their inner selves. "Drunk on art" indeed. Thank you so much for your hard work and research. We really appreciate it. And btw, get ready for the influx of subscribers. Armys have been hyping and recommending your channel pretty much everywhere. As they should. I mean, I've spent months not understanding why you had so few subscribers and linking your vids to all my army friends.
It's great that you incorporate the hints they drop in their social media accounts into your theories. Newer armys who weren't here in the HYYH and Wings eras may not know that BTS concepts are often transmedia events that encompass not only they videography and lyrics. There are lots of art and literary references to uncover in their live preformances' vcr, they leave clues and even BU storyline content in their social media posts and even the dates they choose for their releases have meaning. Some people are convinced that there are clues to be found even in their red carpet fashion. Really, no one's doing it like BTS. Not remotely. Not on their scale.
I agree with everything. But Bookish Theories also does theory videos on other group's music videos/concepts. I love the HYYH and Wings era. What about the BTS World Game?? I think that's sort of connected too.
@@AwakeningWings I don't know how connected the game is to their storyline but I definitely see recurring BTS motifs in that content, as well as connections to the members themselves and their lives. It's all very interesting.
That's what I meant when I said no one's doing it like BTS. Other kpop groups have intriguing concepts and storylines even since debut (I actually found this channel with a Dreamcatcher video, I love those girls). But in my opinion, BTS do a better job of engaging their fanbase with their storyline and conceptual content. Like this video shows, they've consistently referenced artists that share their themes and sensibilities, and they've done it in several ways across different platforms. So, for me, their concepts seem particularly rich and interesting.
@@alexandralee138 Yeah, I wasn't too sure about it being connected to the game. Yes, very interesting.
You're right about that, no one does anything like BTS :)
Oh, I love everything Dreamcatcher does. Their Deja Vu mv is beautiful. They have a new mv, I want to see what this next one is about.
I watched BTS sing live for Pied Piper. It's an interesting song on the album. I got into Bookish Theories videos from searching the meaning of Pied Piper on youtube and found these videos. I already knew the story of Pied Piper, but with BTS involved it was interesting and I wanted to know more.
I saw the theory videos on Pied Piper, Hope World, Lights, and Serendipity, I just never clicked on them. Because before I started watching these Theory videos I wanted to watch the Little Prince film on NetFlix just to refresh my memory on the story. (Also refreshed my memory on all the other stuff for Bookish Theories BTS Theory videos like listening to Hope World, Mono, watching VCRs, and some other ones). After that, I just watched all the videos in order. And just kept going :)
I subscribed and left comments.
BTS really does a better job of conveying things in their music, there's a depth in the way they rap and sing. Their concepts, their storylines, and the lyrics are just so unique and great to listen to and watch :D
I'm a month late but I legit gasped out loud when you pointed out that art piece in Fire MV omfg.
Every time I watch your videos I feel like I am in a psychology and art class. Thank you so much your awesome videos 💜
Wooahhh. I thought the colorful graphic animations were just that. Mind blown. 🤯
The green glass scenes took me back to Idol, when SUGA sings, "I do my thang. I love myself." and JK sings "There are ten and hundreds of me inside of me". The color is the same, but the squares are bigger, and it made me wonder about the connection of "I love myself" and the hue.
If you look at the use of that color in Shadow he's mostly by himself singing by himself about, "I want it all mine. I want to be rich." When there are "tens and hundreds" of himself under the glass he sings about "The Shadow at my feet" and it makes sense there are so many.
The final thing I noticed about the scene is it played in both parts of the song, like the self love was part of the Persona and Shadow, because both peices deserve self love.
You are a treasure asset to this fandom!!!! I love sooooo muuuuch your "so well put" theories!!!!,.... It's really rewarding to hear you explain such cultural references and making them the obvious truth behind their MV masterpieces!!!.....
Bts is in another level.
I thought this video was really fascinating before, even though I didn't really understand the symbolism. Now I can really appreciate how amazing this video is.
Dear missus bookish theories.
Thank you. You are one smart amazing lady. I'm very thankful for you and your efforts, truly you teach us alot.
God bless you in abundance.
One of the artist BTS is working with for CONNECT, BTS is Antony Gormley!
We stan bookish theories 👏🏻💗
OH MY GOD!!!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!! I HAD CHILLS ALL OVER MY BODY. THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE RESEARCH AND MAKING OUR JOB IN UNDERSTANDING THE THEORIES EASIER. 💜💜
I have such immense respect for your insightful well researched work, it is truly educational and soothing to listen too. This is a true representation of a brilliant educator, thank you!
Profound. I'm so proud of my boys! Really impressed with your insight!
wow this explanation is REALLY good
Thank you soo much! I get hyped up when I see a notification from you 😍😍 I love how they took music to a level no one ever thought of, educating their fans with them is very unique and inspirational👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍😍😍
Thank you so much for this. I had been wondering about so many of the things you explained in this video, most especially what all the red in the hallway was. On my own I had no idea what it might symbolize, and so I was very happy to see you had addressed that and so much more. You are amazing!
*BRILLIANT!!*
Lol, i was just looking at those Basquiat paintings earlier and saw your video. As always your explanation videos are much more in depth than other videos. Well done!💜💜
This was wonderful. I really enjoy installation art because even the viewers of the art become intricate pieces of the art experience. Once you've interacted with it or any art for that matter, you become a specific piece of that art that only you know. But the feeling is wonderful. So, now so many more people have become a unique piece of all these artist's work. I've always been a fan of Basquiat, tho!!! Thanks for pointing these artists out!
i'm so curios about the woman accent.. so beautifull, i'm just loving it.
Your theory kinda understandable.. 😱👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 and lit! Thx for sharing your precious mind with us!
Damn believe me i haven't learned so many things until i became army. There is so much knowledge we are getting through bts and thank you for uploading this theory video you are great. 💜
Call me crazy, but the hand drawn doodles on Halsey's Suga's Interlude MV also seems like a reference to Basquiat's art seen in the Fire MV. For that matter, in hindsight even the title, Suga's Interlude, feels like a hint/spoiler for Interlude: Shadow. Otherwise, it's just another suspicious coinkydink.
Omg. You. Are. So. Right.
I knew it reminded me of something else....
I'm gonna hide and cry my eyes out, thinking about how deep and well planned all this is and how lucky we are to live on the same planet...
There are no coincidences in Bangtan ! 🤨
@@scapelaine4529 Agreed
Maybe another Halsey BTS collab in the works?
CLEVER and WELL thought out this is why I love BIG hit and BTS and ARMY 💜💜💜
Do you think that the members influenced BU or BU influenced the members? Namjoon and Taehyung seem to love art exhibitions and it makes me wonder if what they saw influenced them in some way and they talked about it with big hit and then they incorporated some elements or did big hit/creative directors influenced the members to check out these artists. I wonder how involved are the members in the creation of BU and it's story line 🤔
The art in this video is a precursor to the announcement of Connect-BTS that will take place in 5 cities and feature 22 artists including Gormley, I think.
Finally someone mentions Basquiat
Wow.
ssoo happyyyy
Omg thank you so2 much i've seen theories from other channels too but here it just settled in my mind. Thankyou. 💜
This is an amazing analysis O.O
Love the video~~💜💜
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIDEOS!!!
Wow!!!!!!! This video is amazing!
“And this is important because...”
I just love your videos! 💕
Yesterday I order Shadow and I can’t wait 😊
I was just watching shadow and this came😁. Anyways thanks for posting, ur videos are always the best and easy to understand😊💜
omg yesss keep up the good work, if only i was interested about school as i am for these theories
Omg I can’t find words to explain how much I’m amazed by their work. This is just beautiful! The concept, the meaning, the way they try to connect with other artists is wonderful!
And you did great job as always! I love your theories so much because you explain everything in the way that everyone can understand! Love you and thanks for your hard work! 🥺💜💜
Mind blown 🤯
I love your theory videos!!!!😃👌👌👌
Yess !! I'm so happy I don't have school. So I can watch this 💜
Thank u so much for your hard work!!! Your theories is the best that i've seen. Love those details and explaination. Im gonna start promote your channel from now on. Again thank you n 💜💜💜
Loved this, thank you
Fantastic video! Thank you!
bookish please make a video about connect bts and its relevance to map of the soul,, after checking out #Catharsis i realize that their album is all about healing of ones soul,, the color of their album which is blue speaks for its purpose... its not a dark album like what i think of before.. now i feel like a clown.
Thank you!! 💜🥰
Wouw the mind of whoever put this together!
If you notice on the comeback 7 map it's all on a grid kind of like the one Yoongi is on in the video with the lights underneath him. Also I noticed at the end of the Shadow video it looked like some of the camera phones were facing out towards the viewer. Did anyone else notice that?
You nice keep going 💜
Thank you so much ❤
Subscribe because of BTS 😁
They just posted a video explaining that 5 plastic artists are goin to have their exhibitions during BTS' tour, so I think all these connections have to do with that
Wow I never knew...
Thank u for ur analysis. Fighting...
i was wondering if you would make like this 😅😅😅 im glad you did 😁😁😁 thank you so much for this.. i really haven't time to search for what it means coz im very busy @ work... glad you sum it up...
i really hope you are an ARMY,, BTS is amazing isn't it? 😘😘😘
With all the O!RUL8,2? refrences in the MV, I think it is no coincidence that the wax and the doors are red and white, much like the album cover of O!RUL8,2?...
Also thinking about how personal and skool luv affair were connected through the intro and the title track (boy IN luv vs boy WITH luv) maybe the title Track of 7 will be related to N.O (or at least any song, not necessarily the title track because there is ego too, which probably will be related to their very first Album, 2cool4skool)
Or bighit will surprise us all AGAIN and so something nobody foreshadowed (you know, foreShAdOwEd😂😂)
Sorry all these theories make me a mess...
🤔 hmmm very interesting
What about the possible connection with fake love, in that scene where Jongkook look down a bright window be him seeing Suga when puts the finger in the middle of the mouth meaning to shup up
👌
that's all I can say. 😁✌️
😊👍💙
Nice
I think if I remember right V had visited Jean-Michel Basquait 's art showcase there was a photo of him holding the dinosaur painting printed on a card whilst standing beside the painting
Found it :-
pbs.twimg.com/media/DqDxuVhXQAEB7qq.jpg
How do you do this? I mean where do you find all these things? I respect you. ✌
Can you please make one on persona intro too ?
Do you think that Sugas Interlude from Halseys album is linked to this in any way?
The lyrics feel like a continuation of his story somehow
I was thinking about it
Someone can explain the part of "O!RUL8,2?" in the video?????
Let me breath ma 😭
Where can I find the mv? I literally can’t find it...
Could this mean that jimin could have a contemporary type song so he would dance contemporary to it?????
Literally so random but it’s just a thought
First. Comment before video ends. First. Muahahaha
i don't know why im late, i open it as soon as i recieve a notif 😓😓😓
You legend, I didn’t forget you!! 🍪🤠
I watch most of you vids. I've been first for some DreamCatcher videos in the past.
