36:03 the timing of saying “looks like we got a Vicious Cheater” was perfect
“Looks like we’ve got a vicious cheater, and a pawpsicle in hand” even better hahahhaha
Those casters knew exactly what was going down
Oh wow, that is perfect!
What makes the whole situation worse is that at 19:05 pretty much the exact same scenario occurs where Jesse quests his broom, plays the white rose, gains a lore and then banishes the broom. There was no judge call from the rat as he doesn't feel threatened at this point in time as opposed to the game 3 where he has his back against the wall and feels like he needs to resort to rules sharking.
Clement should be banned for that. He knows he can banish the broom to draw but cheats his opponent and allows a bad ruling to pass. Poor sportsmanship and I'm glad he didn't win the event
This is on the judge, not the player, the judge is in charge of making a good or bad call
Yes but the player intentionally called the judge over to disrupt the play, not because he was confused. Dropping goat then sac broom is a known play and there was no confusion to be had.
Banned? Probably not but he should have received a warning at the least.
@@Cool-ve2bj it's on both. The player knows the rules and was hoping the judge didn't.
Jesse got screwed. He would never leave a character to be challenged by half shark. Clem was out of line to call a judge and the judge was even further out of line by ruling this incorrect.
Watching game 1 and 2. JESSE clearly gives a hand gesture to pass his turn. That was never given during this "incident". anyone arguing we dont know what was said is wrong. You dont need to say anything to resolve triggers.
Jesse resolved the lore from goat and immedately went to resolve the broom. No other gestures or pauses.
No other explanation.
Clemwnt likely was planning to atk the broom and rules sharked (incorrectly) to keep it in play.
Clement is a rat for this call and the judge has made a horrible mistake for granting him what he wanted
33:50 for reference
@@black_lam6748 i could agree more this is so dirty move
The game flow was clear goat then record lorw than trigger the broom. No hesitation. Or passing the turn. Clemente may have been confused, but that was a bad challenge and judge call
hes a rat indeed
@@jabulanibarber9333 judges should write lore counts lol
''judges'' failed hard in this one but this is what you get without having a official program everyone can call themself judge incredible having this level of play with rando's judging
There’s also a window after gaining the lore where if you do not take an action, the broom is still in the bag to use, so Jessie was robbed and we can clearly see how impactful just one exerted character can be and the snowball it can create for the deck.
Clement should get a post results ban/penalty. Malicious cheating at that point.
Good call from commentator and quite poetic off the develop your brain. We have a vicious cheater
What a dirty move
that broom trigger matter alot
Do you have Jesse's Decklist?
What a disgrace.. mainly by the guy for calling a judge.. but even more so by the Judge. Stick to magic, we don't have a Stack here
Clement -☝️🤓
Unreal
Where is the stream where you can hear the players?
They unfortunately don't have a stream with player audio. The headsets are there so they can't hear the live audience.
@@jimmy-ten-fingers dang. Thanks though!
What a shame for this community
I agree that he should’ve been able to resolve the broom. However, playing devil’s advocate based on the rules, he should have clearly stated that he was putting both the broom and the goat into the bag. Since he resolved the goat without adding the broom’s trigger to the bag, it effectively cleared the bag.
The ruling felt more like it was based on Magic: The Gathering’s stack rules.
Thats not how the bag works. Both effects enter the bag regardless of announcing. What matters is when, how, and what order triggers come out of the bag and are announced. This was a bad call through and through
@ When a player has multiple simultaneous actions to resolve, that player must announce the order of resolution before beginning to resolve the first one. The order can't change once the first action has begun.
Like I said I believe he should have been able to resolve the broom. He allowed a rules to be broken per se multiple times to only call it when he needed that attack.
With that said would he still call a judge if he did the broom first and then gained the lore. Rule needs to change due to no board state changes before trying to resolve. Sorry was having issues replying lol.
You are going off old rules, look up the ruling file for march 2024 not 2023. @UnlicensedGamer
