    Absolutely unbelievable that anyone would think Kobe or Lebron was better than this guy, or even equally good. It's absurd.

    • @menacemc
      @menacemc 8 лет назад +3

      +PV Bottom line is MJ is the GOAT..and no debating..but ive always liked Kobe..he was the closest to Jordan..hes play and work ethic is incredible. Lebron or any of these new players dont have the fire that Jordan and Kobe had. Kobe will be missed for sure.

      +menacemc, Kobe is great and to me he is the second Best player of all time, Just behind Jordan, his Master.

      +bispower6 i never said he was never great....jus said cant compare...hes the closet to MJ...but still far...look at MJs game..looked so smooth and thats down to positioning....he was as good off the ball as on the ball. im talking about overall player...i followed kobe after mj left so i know that hes a great player...i take him over lebron all day...

      How's kobe the 2nd best player of all time, when he wasn't even the best player on his own damn team for the 1st 8 yrs of his career?
      Comments like this REEKS of ignorance about NBA history and its legends.
      It's downright insulting to both...SMH

      Kobe's great but he's around 9-12 all-time. MJ was just on another level. Physically similar to westbrook but the bball IQ the sam elevel of the Bird's and Magic's of this world and with the skills of Kobe and instincts to execute thos emoves like D wade.

    Great video, would love to watch this whole game again. Having lived all my life in Chicago I was lucky enough to have grown up as MJ was drafted and been able to see every game he played as a Bull. Also, this is a rare game because it has Stacey King getting his fat ass off the ground for only like his 3rd professional dunk! LOL

      +chitownref Same situation as you growing up in Chicago and isn't it amazing how soft King was? Geez! Kids these days have no idea how incredible basketball was in the 80's and 90's.

    On the flip side of the Bulls here- 1991 was the one year the cavaliers missed the playoffs from 1988-1996.
    This team was absolutely decimated by injuries- one year later with a clean bill of Cavs health, this was the Eastern Conference Finals

    The thing that I can't understand about Jordan is...
    how did he run, stick his tongue out, and dunk...
    when he's chewing gum?? How did he not choke on his gum? I love it after he dunks, he blows a bubble.

  • @ff11rrtt

    He is simply amazing. That fadeaway jumpshot is unstoppable. Also he has the power and the agility to get to the rim ANY time he wants. We have seen a lot of great offensive players in the nba, but jordan is one of the best defenders in the nba also. Just look at the pressure he has at the cavs player on the defensive end. Simply greatest of all time!
    By the way that NBC intro was great.

  • @jordanlover23

    5:57 is amazing. He starts his move at 35 feet out and gets to the basket in 2 seconds. And that's while executing an in-and-out crossover, then witching his dribbling hand a second time near the lane, and knifing around players in the lane (none of which was a straight line). Amazing speed.

    • @AnHebrewChild
      @AnHebrewChild 4 года назад

      Amazing speed is right. Thanks for calling that out. This isn't hyperbole, and it's not MJ worship: but the dude moved like a leopard. Quick and perfectly fluid. Here's another you'll dig: 12:33 of this vid ruclips.net/video/UPRyG5bOOtY/видео.html Drive vs knicks. Doesn't have the crossover like this one, but it's PURE _SPEED_ ... and absolutely stupid quick. Only bummer is I when they replay from a second angle they slow it. Wish they hadn't.

  • @jordanlover23

    Always wanted to see the game where that VICIOUS dunk at 3:48 came from. Jordan's head was at rim level there, as Nance ducked out of the way terrified lol. He also dropped the defender who was closing out on him there with the quick move, and made Ehlo fall a bit later in the game. Tremendous point A to point B speed at 5:57 where he covers ~39 feet in 1.5-2 seconds despite executing an in-and-out dribble and crossover and changing directions. Thanks for the upload ervakova!

    • @AnHebrewChild
      @AnHebrewChild 4 года назад

      yeah... he had to move his arm DOWN, not stretch it up... to even complete that. That dunk was brutal as f*#k: "VICIOUS" is the word.
      ha... just noticing you're the same dude I replied to on the other comment regarding 5:57 -- only that comment was '4 months ago,' and this one '9 years ago.' ha. Glad I'm not the only one with a long time habit of watching Jordan vids. Never gets old... :]
      but yeah, ck the vid and timestamp I linked to above tho. cheers

    On the other side of this game - 1991 was the one time between 1988 and 1996 the Cavs missed the playoffs.
    I remember hearing this team was decimated by injuries- considering they made the East Finals a year later, it was clearly a health issue.

    Michael is the greatest player ever , Kobe is the only player you could compare him to. Jordan played against legends and beat them . The nba has no legends maybe some but not like back then

    • @dazdavis7896
      @dazdavis7896 4 года назад

      oldskool Mike Oscar Robertson was the first like big scoring guard like that, like MJ, Kobe, any of em. He was just about the closest thing to Jordan there was in terms of the whole package. Kobe’s 81 point game he had like 2-3 rebs and literally zero assists. He might have had 1 actually, but that’s it. When Jordan scored 69, he had 18 rebs and 6 or 7 asst as well... 18 fucking boards. He literally bout had a 70-20 game. I’d way rather have 70-20 than 80-zip. Oscar literally averaged a triple double. He was 6’5-6’6 and was 220-225 lbs, he was solid, strong, just like MJ once he hit ‘90 and started winning titles..... Anyways, the point is, the Big O was far closer to Jordan in terms of the whole package than Kobe ever was.

    5:13 how did Ehlo fall? I’m noticing in a lot of these highlight videos defenders are just randomly falling down, giving MJ an easier look at the basket. At first I thought it was due to his quickness, but now I’m not so sure.

    The fix wasn't in. MJ was the best and most exciting player in the league and it was obvious that the Bulls were going to take over from the Pistons who were getting old and weren't the team they used to be in the late 80's.

    • @AnHebrewChild
      @AnHebrewChild 4 года назад

      pistons weren't old. All but Laimbeer... of the _key_ guys... all but Laimbeer were still in their TWENTIES. Look it up. for example, Rodman who was older than zeke or dumars was 29. "Weren't the team they used to be in the eighties." They had just won the chip 11 months prior (june 1990) and they'd just come off beating two good teams in the playoffs... and then the bulls swept them.

      I love Mozart but definitely prefer BACH; only probably because I prefer Baroque over Classical (capital C). Not trying to nitpick ha... I agree with your statement.
      Your comment caught my eye because I've been considering creating an MJ highlight video and what I'd use as music. I love tons of genres... ancient, classical and modern but for a Jordan video, I'll have to go with THE MUSICAL TITANS. Jordan's game calls for THAT level of greatness. (you nailed it.)

    1990-91 NBC was all about the Chicago Bulls. Detroit was the back-to-back champion but got no love from NBC during that season - everything was about the Bulls which meant the fix was in. All Bulls, all the time for NBC - they milked the cow like crazy.

    • @boogieloo1831
      @boogieloo1831 5 лет назад +2

      3DStoneCt - bullshit. Fix my ass. The Bulls got love because Jordan was charismatic and media loves charismatic people because they bring in more money. The Pistons were the exact opposite and won by beating the shit out of people. They weren't liked by the league and by most fans. Of course the media loved Jordan and by extension, the Bulls.
      If there was a fix, the Pistons would never have won in the first place and would never have been allowed to go to 3 straight Finals. They just got their asses beat by a superior team that learned how to beat them.

    • @AnHebrewChild
      @AnHebrewChild 4 года назад

      @@boogieloo1831 Bulls got lots of love in 1990 and 1989 and lost those seasons... every year they televised LOADS of bulls games and constantly asked "will this be the year Jordan wins one?" This happened in 89, 90 and 95... but no dice. Bulls lost. No fix.
      Are you saying Isiah was in on the fix? Rodman too? And Dumars? They all just threw those games? Explain yourself. If you're going to make big claims, you gotta attempt to argue how the hell such a "fix" is pulled off. Don't tell me "the referees control it all." Nonsense. Refs don't make or miss last second shots... refs don't get hot or cold on outside jumpers. Explain yourself.
