I wasn't sure how I'd feel going into this as it's an obvious departure from the style you've become known for with the Bombpops, but this makes me wanna hear more. I loved the opening chimes for lack of a better term. The way the delivery was both somber, reserved, and at times a little upbeat was a nice touch. I can't quite put my finger on how yet, but this gives me nostalgic vibes of an era long gone where a lot of music had substance. Seems like a really solid solo debut. I'm really looking forward to what follows. Great song Jen.
