Hi friends, Join me on a relaxing walk around the village and then back to the cottage to get all cosy and make a warming lunch.
This video isn’t sponsored by Morphy Richards, but their soup maker is fab! And I use it weekly in the winter months for healthy lunches, unfortunately sandwiches and salads just won’t do when it’s freezing outside 😂❄️
I usually just google “soup maker recipes” for ideas, my favourites are carrot & coriander, or carrot & parsnips, and stilton & broccoli…. But there are lots of ideas out there, I’ve linked the soup maker I use down below, but I’m sure any brand would be just as good.

It's a very pretty village. Might I suggest you get a gimbal (a stabilizer for a phone) so that the phone can stop trying digitally to stabilize?

A hot bowl of soup (or stew) inside a cottage on a cold snowy day is the very essence of cosy.
Absolutely… and that’s a good idea for a stew, we’ve not had one for ages, will make one for sure 👌
I remember dial a disc in those old red phone boxes. 😊
Took me back in time and made me think when I saw the red telephone box, I was born in the 60s and remember walking round the corner with my mum so she could phone my Aunty. I used to squash inside the red box and listen to her conversation, especially in the freezing winter. I couldn’t do without my smart phone now, I think I’m the last of the generation who squeezed into the red box 😢
Hello Lesley, aww how lovely! It’s such a shame they’re slowly being removed they’re such a great reminder of happy times. Luckily all the ones in the surrounding villages have been kept and a lot are being used as mini libraries, people donate the books they’ve read and maybe pick up one they haven’t… I think it’s a great idea. And nothing more Christmassy that a red phone box or post box with a sprinkling of snow ❄️ warm wishes to you x x

Yeah, no mobiles, just the red box, hand full of change, hoping the voice didn’t interrupt, asking for more money to continue your conversation. Spring, summer, autumn or winter. Kicking a ball round in the street. Chippy tea. As you can guess, in was born 1956.

I am a terrible cook, but OK with soups! Just fry an onion in a little oil, Cajun and turmeric , any vegetable and a stock cube simmer and drink as it is or use a gand held blender, delicious.😅

Nice warming soups i like to produce on cold, huddle by the fire. Chicken tortillas, of course veggies forget the chicken, use more veg, or vegetable soup put through a blender, good for those with special dietary needs.
Another soup. Boxing day soup. Everything you have for Christmas Day lunch, minus the sprouts, unless you enjoy them. Diced up. Use the left overs tomato soup and gravy mixed together, add all your diced lunch including the diced stuffing, heat and serve. Yummy.

To be honest I can’t see any difference between a soup maker and using a saucepan! Beautiful music in the middle of the video, made it all look so magical and yet real to life, a lovely combination.

Thank you 😊 to be honest I’m probably just a bit lazy so the soup maker makes me life a little easier 😂 it blends it for me so I don’t need to buy a separate blender, I don’t have too many gadgets but I love my slow cooker and soup maker 😊
