@@JPBuduan sir is it possible na diagnosed agad yung client sa mismong day ng consultation? Kasi may nakita akong mga videos about visiting psychiatrist then nagtanong ako ano ba ginawa nila, the client said nagkwento lang daw sya ng feelings nya then she was given diagnosis na bipolar at depression tapos may reseta ng medications. Medyo naguluhan po ako kasi naalala ko sa lessons about assessment na you need to undergo series of interview or battery of test before you diagnose. Hindi po ba prone to misdiagnosis yung may diagnosed agad sya sa first visit nya st based lang sa kwento nya?

@@chimmypark8085 iba kasi ang sa psychiatrist. ang training nila is more on diagnosis lang parang kapag nagcoconsult tayo sa mga doctor ng mga physical na sakit sasabihin lang natin symptoms and then check some heartbeats or tonsils. then may diagnosis na. Since sa psychology wala namang physical na kailangan i-examine, they usually do a mental state examination kasabay ng interview which they will then use as their basis for diagnosis. Their training is different from psychologists since sa mga psychologist nga is assessment (interview, battery of tests) ang ginagawa nila.
with regards sa tanong mo about misdiagnosis, psychiatrists are trained to diagnose naman.
