My wife needed a new vehicle. Her SRX had 142000 miles on it. It was a 2012 Luxury Edition CPO lease return and, I was ready to buy her a 2019 XT4.
Well, one of her colleagues just bought a new 2020 Equinox and they went to lunch together. My wife really liked the vehicle. She was impressed with the car and asked me to take her to see it so she could test drive one herself. She drove a Premier and liked everything about it except for the acceleration. She told the sales guy and me she changed her mind because this Equinox didn't have the get up and go she wanted.
So, the sales guy told her I have another Equinox I'd like you to drive before you make up your mind. She then drove a Premier with the 2.0L engine. The smile on my wife's face was priceless. She stated, now this is what I'm talking about!!!
We purchased that Premier which has every option available except the sunroof which she doesn't give a damn about as her previous vehicles had sunroofs and she never ever used them.
She's had the Equinox Premier 2.0 for 3 weeks now and she absolutely loves it. I love it too. Her decision saved me about $20K. What's not to love about that!!!

@@roberttyson6146 I understand. But, that can happen with any vehicle from any manufacturer. And it does.
My wife has had two Caddy's. Her last two CUV's were SRX's. and they both were flawless. Both were let go after approaching 150 thousand miles. Not because they were malfunctioning but, just because she wanted a new one.
Any manufacturer can have an issue with some vehicles. They produce them by the many tens of thousands.
And, somebody (you in this case) will buy one of those vehicles. It's how the dealership handles this that tells you if you chose to buy from a good dealer or a bad dealer.
No company produces 10's of thousands of vehicles and produces them all flawlessly. Most are well made. Some will have issues. Someone will buy one with issues. That's just a fact.
The quality is measured buy how few issues per thousand vehicles a company makes.
The Equinox Premier 2.0 I just bought my wife has a very high JD Powers quality reputation. But, I only bought it because a coworker just bought one and my wife liked it. Otherwise I was set to buy a 2019 XT4 for her.

@@al8603cl I understand what you're saying... not sure if the srx's you had, had the 1st generstion CUE system..If they did.... most of them have frozen up... im in a class action lawsuit regarding that. In the xt4, they knew they messed up big time because the CUE system has been updated and has buttons now so you dont have to soley rely on the touchscreen. My 2014 ats now has about 98,000 miles and all my mechanical troubles started this summer and Ive been keeping up with maintenance and get it serviced at the dealership. Most of my cars have been Japanese and never had as many issues as this Cadillac with more miles on them... You live and you learn🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤣

I have this car but in the 2.0 and AWD. It has great acceleration, turning radius, cargo room, all kinds of driver conveniences and features as shown in this video. Terrific car!

Not to knit pick but, the title of the video is wrong. This Equinox IS NOT a 2.0. There is no 2.0 badge and there is no dual exhaust. Both are evident on all 2LZ optioned Equinox's. This vehicle has the standard and anemic 1.5 liter engine.

You are absolutely correct. I have a 2018 Equinox Premiere with 9 speed trans and 2.0 L engine. Good power and fuel mileage. Have had no issues and lookong forward to 2021 Equinox in Dec

Thomas The Premier is the highest trim. The lower ones are much cheaper.

T0ki Well that is your personal preference. I would never buy an Audi.

T0ki Again, your personal opinion. I wouldn’t buy a Buick or a BMW. What you choose to spend your money on is your choice, as is mine. I like what I like, you like what you like. I have my own life experience, you have yours. That is the fabulous thing about human beings.

T0ki And I love my Chevy. Have a 2018 Traverse, spent $43,000. Not a single problem. I looked at all brands, that is what I preferred. In a could months we will be buying a 2020 Colorado. Would get a Silverado, but we own an old house with a small garage. The Traverse and Colorado are the biggest that fit. These are what we like. I have looked at BMW. Eh. Does nothing for me. Same with Audi, Lexus, Toyota, Honda, etc, etc, etc. looked at them all. Picked what I liked and wanted.

T0ki I like the interior. I totally understand that others may not, but they have everything that is personally important to me.
