I actually really appreciate the vibes in this video. It's comforting seeing those grumpy/down days with family because everyone has them honestly, and seeing them here helps romanticise them a little as just another part of this crazy life
I don't think I've ever seen a holiday ("vacation") vlog where someone actually feels a bit shit. Being out of my normal lifestyle & routine on holiday often makes me feel melancholy and contemplative and I typically feel guilty and confused about not making the most of my time away. With a 10 day trip looming amidst various relationship problems, I am grateful to you for making this video 🥰

i grew up travelling all around south america and omgg i totally understand the fighting and needing time for yourself even at a young age!! it fr can test you and your patience but don't feel guilty abt your feelings, they ALWAYS matter and have value. It can be a struggle to spend so much time confined with family. I've been a people pleaser all my life and I need finding a balance between what I need and what they need. I try working on that, but it's difficult changing my own nature. Right now it's blazing hot in sicily and I am watching the damn rain that disrupted your holidays in awe 🌧😮.

I actually came up with a summer book list with my prof based on my interests in contemporary feminist lit, aging & grief! But I typically just go down goodreads rabbit holes finding books that seem up my alley + since I study English I’m constantly being recommended books by friends & peers x
