My Pem and I live in town, but when we go to the park he tries to round up the tiniest children on the playground, then direct them to their adults, sitting right beside them once they’ve reached their parents, grandparents, or sitters. Too funny!-AND very AMAZING, since I’ve never had him around sheep, horses or cattle!! Beautiful to watch him “herd.”

They absolutely should be able. My dog will often hers geese, the family... you name it. Haha. And every time I think I want another dog but not another corgi I watch corgi videos and immediately know I need another corgi!

Now that I have a corgi (3), my life is all about ALL THE CORGIS! (I love every one I’ve ever met, or seen online)

I have a border collie corgie mix and she herds my children lol but i notice outside she will try to herd birds, the stray cats, the squirrels. So im looking to find some activities for her to do to work her mind more because she is basically just a house dog but she is soo intelligent and needs more simulation

You can take the Cogi out of the herd but you can't take the herder out of the Corgi

What is the point of this besides terrifying the sheep? The guy with rake needs a good smacking with it.

It's fun for the doggos. The sheep are probably used to it.

The usual reason is to round the sheep in the field back into a pen for safety. This is just practice.

I have a Cardigan corgi, I love her, and - yes, she has herding instincts, of course. But the neighbourhood squirrel could chase sheep around in circles like THIS dog!
