hey Imbelani, haha that chart catches us all sometimes. One of these days I will do a video on where to get research. Glad the video was useful for you 🙂
Guilty ... of mistake number 1. I would DEFINITELY appreciate a video on where to find research. Thanks so much! Your info is always so practical and helpful!
Hey, there are a lot of resources to use to gather information. It depends on your investment strategy. I would say, start by using platforms like Benzinga, morning star, tradingview, Bloomberg, SENS and company reports
Hey Lukhono, hmm, at this moment, I wouldn't buy Purple Group shares. They have had their first surge (2 years ago) when they had a really great narrative/story. This gave the share price some upwards momentum. However, at this moment the narrative is neutral and leaning on negative. Plus the financials haven't been that great. So there really is no buying opportunity. However, at some point in the future a new story/narrative may develop which can bring buyers back to the stock. It would have to be a really good story though eg: successfully expanding the service into more countries, getting more users, managing costs and increasing AUM/3rd Party Funds and thus generating more fees. It will take a while to get back to that story again 😅.
hey, look at companies that are solving problems by selling products and services that people love. Those always have their earnings increase over time which eventually translates to higher share prices
So basically the selling price needs to be more than current price of the share if I hear you correctly? One needs to seek that the selling price is more than the buying price to ensure that the company is making profit
hey Thabitha, the selling price has to be higher than the "buy price(ask)" that you paid when you bought the share, if it is not you will sell at a loss even if it shows that you are making a profit which is possible on shares that have a what we call a "wide spread"
@@moneymondays but on the video you said the selling price will always be lower, it's a matter of checking the spread. Mistake 2 really confuses me Also with regards to mistake 3. Is the investment cost a once off per share?
@@kgothatsoramokgopa2971 the current selling price is always lower than the current buying price. I was referring to the price you would have paid for the share, the selling price when you want to sell the share must always be higher than the price you paid. You should book a free training session to get a more clear understanding😀. Trade fees are paid per transaction not per share.
haha, No, you cannot use technical analysis on its own. You have to use it in combination with the economic context and market activity. Technical analysis has been shown to have no significant predictive capabilities on its own when various technical analysis strategies are tested using statistical research.

You would just open an account with Easy Equities, alternatively you can have a discovery bank account and access the easy equities TFSA account that way
hey , as per financial regulations almost every where in the world, financial institutions need to verify your identity before letting you transact. If you are stuck and cannot verify yourself then try change the phone or computer you are using to verify your biometrics :-)
Hey Andisiwe, you just need to email easy Equities and they will sort you out, alternatively you can find out your username in the password reset steps 🙂
If you lose your money while investing? When you invest you exchange your money for an Asset, so if the asset price goes down it is the value of your money that is changing. This value is determined by how much people are willing to buy or sell the asset you hold

Your thoughts on Purple Group Ltd? Looking at their performance in the past year, still worth investing in?
