OK so I just got rid of my N20U Exynos, and got the SD version today. The difference is really day and night guys. Genshin runs SO much better on the SD and thermal was great too.
Mihoyo stated that exynos chips run terrible with genshin impact, only the exynos 990 could run high settings while the old flagship exynos chips can only run on low
If you put Genshin at the highest on the Exynos Note 20 Ultra, it will burn/disfigure your fingerprints temporarily to the point the screen will not recognize a touch anymore! I am being serious.
Seems like a bad joke from samsung to me. Ordered a Note 20 Ultra a few days back and it should be here the day after tomorrow. I'm already considering to return it back, it just feels like a rip off
I have the exynos version , just bought it 1 week ago , it performs good on gaming , I have played COD for an hour on MAX everything at 120HZand it did not heat up so much , looks like they have fixed that with an update , the only thing thay worries me is the battery , it does not last as I would expect on a phone as expensive as this one

Its more like a GPU difference than CPU difference Both cpus are low usage thats irrelevant. Exynos is not a bad CPU it just comes with an inferior GPU.
Honestly, even Exynos is behind MediaTek nowadays, thankfully the 2100 version is better than the 990 version, I play COD maxed out on my note 8 pro and it doesnt drop frames (it stays around 45-60fps)

Watching this on my $170 Moto G Stylus phone and playing lowest setting fine on Genshin Impact until 1-2 hour it slows down and freeze. That's what you get for a cheaper phone.
The snapdragon ends up throttling nearly as much as the Exynos in the long run. Exynos heats up faster but with a Funcooler it does well enough. Close to sd865 performance.
I was an advocate for the exynos in that I didn’t think it was that bad. Owned I now 3 weeks and just sold it and went back to iPhone XS for now. The Exynos ultra lags even with damn scrolling a webpage.

For day to day use even, the snapdragon has longer battery life. Heck even the iPhone 11 pro max lasts longer than the snapdragon s20 ultra (phone buffs video).

exynos 990 performance not stable,I tried geekbench for single core getting around 530 marks,while sometimes switching refresh rate to 60 hz and full HD plus can get 901 marks,but multi core score quite similar. snap dragon 865+ getting 947 on my galaxy tab S7+.yes for play game still snapdragon win hands down. and slightly better battery life for SD.

I think it’s bad that this game hardly uses the cpu it was mostly around 10% while the gpu is almost hitting 100 they should offload some work to the cpu and even it out if possible
The only problem is the throttling, if it is solved it run almost the same as the SD865 in games, I use the Xiaomi Black Shack cooler and problem solved. (S20 Ultra)
I had one before my poco f2 pro, and guys, I tested tauceti Vulkan on both phones, it's just incredible how on poco f1 you have constant 15 fps and on f2 pro 50-60. I think it will run okay on 30 fps but not on 60 fps on poco f1

Exynos not built for gaming but still you can gaming on it and the problem the fps is low is that games optimization only for snapdragon but for example if ginshin impact do an optimization for Exynos the fps gonna be like the snapdragon why ? Exynos can't control the temperature and the fps in the Exynos only go up to 40, but Snapdragon controls the temperature well and the fps reaches 60.
but you're still getting the full potential out of the phone, that's a big game changer by it's own!

Nope i have both chips and i can tell you that the snapdragon 865 thermal throttle is nowhere near as bad as exynos

Putting your phone to 120 on 60fps for genshin will give you less fps.

Tengo el Poco F2 Pro y el S20 Fe (Exynos)
La diferencia es abismal, el Poco con el SD 865 me permite jugarlo en gráficos Equilibrados, mientras que el S20Fe (Exynos) tengo que jugarlo en ultrabajo y aún así hay cierto lag
Pero si el s20 fe al poco f2pro le da una paliza en recursos puede que el F2 pro tenga mejor procesador pero el s20 es mucho mejor telefono

La diferencia de procesador y temperatura es abismal, la cámara frontal del Poco F2 PRO es mucho mejor que la del S20 Fe

Lo único que si me parece el S20FE superior es el sonido, es espectacular el sonido estéreo del S20 Fe, y por supuesto la tranquilidad del Ip68, en cuanto a la cámara posterior es ligeramente superior, pero sólo un poco
