When I was 11y, I got operated for appendicitis. I stayed a few days in the hospital after that, I was bored and lonely. My mom was there with me, so she went out to buy a copy of "Professor Layton and Lost Future". I could never been more happy, we solved a lot of puzzles together. It always bring me joy listening to "London 3", it feels like home.

They just should bring back the old formula instead of some lame spinoff like Layton's Mystery Journey (which was also very much rushed, from what I know, and didn't have the original puzzle consultant on board). The series died due to fatigue. They released too many games in a short amount of time. They should have waited more between a release and the next one, instead they got too greedy. I know that Level 5 said they won't adapt new games in english anymore, but that may change in the future. If they released a good entry in the series nowadays, it would sell like hot cake, because players have been starved for years, there's no fatigue anymore.

Me gustaba mucho jugar con el Profesor Layton TODO el resto del dia que no estaba en la escuela. Era muy desafiante, interesante, misterioso, me sumergia en la historia y en la villa....y despues de resolver varios puzzles me enfocaba a dejar la pantalla de la consola encendida solo para apreciar su musica

16:41 Memories always gets me crying as it tells the sad story of Clive losing his mum and dad on that horrific event and in the game the professor understands why Clive went on a dark path of redemption for losing his mum and dad The Prime minster was a horrible person for not caring about what happed after the time machine event and that's why I will always treat Clive as a kind hearted person.
This game is so nostalgic to me. My dad and I would play it on the DS. He would usually be a bit ahead of me so when I got really stuck he would help me out. My dad loves to solve puzzles and I guess I learned to love it too.

got into Layton because this video appeared in my recommendations. Wish I had a nintendo DS when younger so I could share the same home-welcoming nostalgia feeling many ppl here share. This is one of my favorite videogame franchise, because of its history, charachters, music which is beautiful but also relaxing, I love professor Layton and enjoy to find people who loves this videogame franchise too.
Tomohito Nishiura's music though- I always wondered why I liked the Professor Layton soundtracks so much and then I found out he is the same person that did the soundtrack for Dark Cloud/Chronicle. It all made so much sense.

This licence is incredible. The stories, the puzzles, the musics, everything is so beautiful and fascinating ❤❤❤ I hope they will do other puzzle games like this or, maybe, another professor Layton game.
If you have not received the news yet: There is a new Layton Game in development. They said a month ago or so, that they plan to release it in 2025.
The game is called: Professor Layton and the new world of steam.
