Very Helpful. I haven't opened mine yet, but feel like I know what I'm doing. I wondered if I could put in on the deck, I've ruled that out now, knowing about the stakes around the blower. This video has saved me so much time. Thank you.
Hello Lu, you could put the inflatable on your deck if you secured it some other way. There is a hole in each foot, so if you can tie the feet around the boards in your deck, that would do it. We just had a big windstorm where I am and it completely pulled the stakes out of the ground for the Halloween inflatable I had up, so securing the feet in some way is pretty important, but it doesn't need to be with stakes.
David, pretty much all of the inflatable yard decorations work similar to the one in the video. They all have a blower to keep them inflated, and they all have tie-downs so they don't blow away in the wind.
You know whenever you have airblown inflatable the base fan when they break or it doesn't work you can buy a new blower instead of buying a new airblown inflatable I just thought of that
Hi Nancy. You can find inflatables for any holiday you can imagine if you look online. You can't necessarily find them in your local store, though. Google "St. Patty's day inflatables" and you'll find a bunch of the little wee guys.
Shane, the only reason for the tie ropes is for wind. If you don't have them, the inflatable may tip over and pull the stakes out of the blower. Just reinstall the stakes in the blower and you'll be fine.
i have a little 4ft polar bear inflatable and he only has those metal stakes and a small fan on the back of him so im wondering how to stake him down when i set him up
+Steve Maguire i staked him on his feet and on his sides with the teachers cause at the bottom it had those little things your upposed to clip the teathers on but i just put the stakes in them :p
It's hard to find seasonal inflatables until that season rolls around, but this Turkey inflatable seems to show up at the major stores that have a yard & garden section, such as Home Depot, Lowes, Super Wal-Marts. Just search online for "6' Airblown Thanksgiving Inflatable Turkey with Pilgrim Hat". Here's a Home Depot link for $59.99: www.homedepot.com/p/6-ft-Airblown-Lighted-Sitting-Turkey-25663X/202860813 Same at Wal-Mart for $49.97: www.walmart.com/ip/6-Airblown-Thanksgiving-Inflatable-Turkey-with-Pilgrim-Hat/3059940 (Links posted in Sept 2016)
I have mine on a light timer that goes on in the morning and goes off around 11pm. I don't show it in the video, but the timer is plugged in to the wall of the house.
Steve Maguire Thanks Steve. I appreciate you getting back to me so soon. I’m in Australia and I couldn’t get a response as fast as yours. Great video and informative response. Helped me out big time. I hope you have a great Christmas and New Years.
ya they all are pretty much tha same but some might not have tha legs on tha bottom also depending on tha size of ur inflatable if it's a big tall one u might need to do adjustments(depending on how windy it is)
I actually got mine at Home Depot, but you can normally get it online. Just search online for "6' Airblown Thanksgiving Inflatable Turkey with Pilgrim Hat". I've found that they are usually only available around Thanksgiving time.
+Robert Harris Hi Robert, it looks like there's interest in the Halloween inflatable as well as the Christmas ones. I'll do those videos as those holidays get closer!
+bryan de brie Hi Bryan, I leave my inflatables up when it rains. That's one of the reasons I use an extension plug with a fuse in it. The rain (or snow for that matter) doesn't seem to bother the inflatables at all.
This video stands the test of time and was very helpful to a person putting up one of these inflatables for the first time. Thank you.
This is my first inflatable. I had no idea how to set it up. Thanks for the video!
Same here. Just got a snowman & Santa. 8ft. Was like ok this gonna be interesting
Only video online with DETAIL so bravo! The others just lay it down and plug it in.

You know whenever you have airblown inflatable the base fan when they break or it doesn't work you can buy a new blower instead of buying a new airblown inflatable I just thought of that

thank you very very much

Of your light show inflatable Steve. Pleasee.
Hi Nancy. You can find inflatables for any holiday you can imagine if you look online. You can't necessarily find them in your local store, though. Google "St. Patty's day inflatables" and you'll find a bunch of the little wee guys.
Damn Steve, someone gave this to me without the side tie own ropes, do you think it will be okay without or are they a necessity?
Shane, the only reason for the tie ropes is for wind. If you don't have them, the inflatable may tip over and pull the stakes out of the blower. Just reinstall the stakes in the blower and you'll be fine.
Thanks man you're absolutely right. Pins pulled up a little in extreme wind but no movement. GOBBLE GOBBLE!
i have a little 4ft polar bear inflatable and he only has those metal stakes and a small fan on the back of him so im wondering how to stake him down when i set him up
+Ttr Clyde I'm guessing that if your polar bear doesn't have the tie-downs built in to the design, then it may not need them...
+Steve Maguire i staked him on his feet and on his sides with the teachers cause at the bottom it had those little things your upposed to clip the teathers on but i just put the stakes in them :p
just a quick question were did i got it and how how much did it coast because my dad wanted to get it this year??

where did you get the silly looking turkey
I don’t need to buy a new one but thank you
hey is it safe from rain or snow??
I keep watching videos of inflatables and no one seems to say if you have to leave them plugged in all night and day or turn off once inflated.
Does this guide work for some other ones
I have a lot of inflatables, and they pretty much all work the same.

I actually got mine at Home Depot, but you can normally get it online. Just search online for "6' Airblown Thanksgiving Inflatable Turkey with Pilgrim Hat". I've found that they are usually only available around Thanksgiving time.
