  • No other person could test our Kevlar motorcycle jeans better than a Pando Moto founder himself! That was a prompt idea that couldn’t be ignored during Pando Moto campaign video shoot.
Here is how did it all went through, as it looks - pretty well. Unfortunately, the only thing missing after the jeans test is a back pockets as we can see, but it’s nothing compared to that while dragging at 30-40km/h for around 30 meters, Jeans itself held up strong and DuPont™ Kevlar® lining haven’t even been touched or ripped through. Tough move!

Finally a vid that really tests the abrasion of aramid material. Yes it's not as realistic as a real accident with realistic speed.
But it's better than most videos eith only talking and showing

The Jeans are full of holes after a slow speed short pull. Please explain how this is not a fail? One Month ago I hit a Deer at 50 MPH and went sliding down the road at 50 MPH and my normal work pants did not fail that badly ..

Thanks for reply, Mike. The drag distance was 38 meters, speed around 45 km/h. As you can see the yellow Kevlar lining wasn't damaged. The dragging test (as in this case) has a more severe impact on denim destruction since there is a small contact area (your butt) when during the actual crash you usually roll around. Have a look at the real-life story about his model: pandomoto.com/pando-moto-jeans-vs-antelope/
Also, note that all our products are officially CE approved (in accordance with prEN17092 standard) and have abrasion capacity (small contact area) up to 75 km/h.

@@PANDOMOTO I have Anti Abrasion pants.. for cold weather but did not have any for hot weather, The pants I bought .. I won't say what brand .. are supposed to be an anti abrasion material .. So what you replied to me .. is that the Pando pants are not anti abrasion material but they have a Kevlar liner that is ?
When I hit the deer it was a very warm day .. I was wearing normal work pants .. They did get holes in the knees and dark colors from the heat from friction sliding at 50 MPH..
I was wearing a cheap made in China mesh short with plastic armor.. The mesh had holes in it over my belly button and on top of my forearm..
I ended up sliding down the road feet first on my stomach .. My arm was trapped under my stomach .. and the top of the forearm was mesh only even though the elbow was plastic armor.. The Top of my forearm was all scraped up and black from heat and asphalt .. Also where the mesh under my chest armor was ripped up as was my T-short .. My Neoprene gloves had leather reinforcements and plastic knuckles.. the Gloves were shredded but my hands were perfect.. My Helmet never got a scratch ..
My accident was very similar to the Antelope who sent me photos of .. Hit the deer square in the belly just under my headlight .. My forks were badly bent..

@@mikeskidmore6754 in our product range we also have single layer Dyneema and Armalith jeans. Dyneema/Armalith is made of ultra-heavy molecular weight polyethylene. Extremely durable material (15 times stronger than steel) that has very good abrasion resistant and heat conductivity.
In this video, we are using double-layer Cordura/Kevlar sandwich that can protect you in 75 km/h (small contact area). Yes, the top layer (in case of double-layer design) can rip off during the accident and that is absolutely normal.

@@mikeskidmore6754 Most motorcycle jeans implement Kevlar or other aramid-fiber derivatives as the protective layer between your skin and the asphalt. There is hardly a difference between them. Maybe armor, more or less heavy denim, or under material.
