- We are now home from Benidorm and had to go shopping. I decided to go to an Auction. I got @leevancamp involved and it turned into a farce. I did treat him to a carvery at the Trawlerman in Cleethorpes so let's see how we got on.

Well I’ve been going to Aldi, I also still use Tesco’s but I come home and compare like for like prices and can save £20 on a big shop.

This is really funny, great stuff! Funnily enough I saw the record deck in CLVs Vlog while the Benidorm tour was on and thought it was desirable- price went higher than I expected though.
I just wonder what Tesco think of the hilarious rummage around food, nothing like a long time married couple having a bit of a bicker- Sharon's definitely in charge there!!

OMG, it's a laugh a minute. Martin you should have set of at 6 o clock. It can only happen to Lee when the car wouldn't start. I don't know what the food tasted like but it looked lovely. I've stopped going to Lidl for my shopping as well as everything i used to buy has gone up about 50 pence. Anyway glad you got back safe and sound. Looking forward to coming to Greece with you

It was great you did the Benidorm trip, it’s certainly made us think about going after dismissing it out of hand. I’m not an expert but the Paella didn’t look right to me…very dark . Maybe it’s a local recipe but in other parts of Spain we’ve always been served a light coloured paella. You and Lee make me laugh…the car parking!! I agree why park on top of everyone else! Made me laugh . Glad you are both back. Xx

That cauliflower cheese looked amazing so many carveries just have a token bland sauce on the cauliflower cheese. Very interesting never seen a household auction as opposed to an antiques auction.
piela is such a lovely meal but so hard to make it like the spanish do. i had one tonight from tescos, since when dose piela have hot spiceysin it. never agaian from tescos

Your food looked good. Shame about the camper van issue. I agree with you regarding going to tesco. Lidl is very poor these days. We use m&s and tesco and get much better value food. Lidl veg are horrid they do not keep at all. So yes i agree go for a better range of food and be able to keep it a few days and it’s still ok, otherwise it works out expensive if you have to replace it. Baby Frank likes his toys bless him.

That pealla looked authentic to me. Authentic pealla is always served for two people some places in Spain will palm you off we ready meal pealla that basically is just a microwave meal for only for one person.

You don’t need to do online banking to use car park just register your card with them. My husband uses it and doesn’t have the banking either
