I remember this one time, when the High Evolutionary absolutely humbled me - effortlessly!
Always strange seeing Hyperion, like DC's Hawk Man, the character has zero consistency. Every time you see "Him" he's from a different universe.

@@qontoh2s872 true, it’s pretty complicated because there was 2 Hyperions back in the day. One was good and the other was bad and I have NO idea where they are. I think the good one was in newer taskmaster comic. And I have no idea where this one is any more after they canceled his solo series

Good thought but no, I don’t think so. This “god of light” needs to be a being that has existed for as long as Knull. That’s how opposites kind of work. And if sentry and Thor got clapped by Knull then I don’t think hype isn’t going to do more than them

Yet, DC just squander opportunity after opportunity to make Superman compelling. Returning him to the number 1 super hero in comics.

This is how you write compelling characters.
You don't need to give them new powers or take the established ones.
Read a bit about the history of said character and then expand upon obscure/overlooked stuff(Donald Blake recently on Thor was interesting) or explore new stuff(Knull going ham for example).
Sometimes I think what would happen if a team consisting of goku,thor,Hyperion,Superman,starbrand,gladiator,hulk and sentry went on a rampage on other verses 💀

This story resemble the struggle of Goku and his companions from universe 7 against the giant Anilaza of universe 3 in Dragon Ball Super. He just wasn't defeated so easy.
Dbz is a badly written story full of plot holes and asspulls. Even the author says the power scaling is a joke.
@@jinnsylph9503 It may be, but I have a lot of fun with DBZ and there's a lot worse anime out there being acclaimed, if we're going to consider it. One example was Evangelion, totally meaningless.

Are Hyperion, Gladiator, and Sentry pretty much the same? They seem to have the same feats?
No they aren't the same and they don't have the same showings either
They are the supermen of marvel
I think the sources of their powers are different, and they should have somewhat different power levels as well. If i recall correctly, the Sentry's powers are actually matter and reality warping, Gladiator uses psionic energy based on his confidence to power himself up, and Hyperion absorbs sun radiation.

Sentry is superior to both of them according to Marvel.
Seems strange he just took the children and the fight was over. Guess the High Evolutionary just shrugged and let them go. The HE once took on all the Avengers at once, including Hercules and Hulk. He hit Hulk so hard, he basically flew halfway around the planet and was knocked out. Hercules had no chance, but the Avengers put a device on him that accelerated his godhood until he basically became a super god.
