  • On Saturday, 1/13/2024, my dad and I while out in Southern California embarked on a day trip to one of the busiest freight corridors in North America: The BNSF Southern Transcon. Covering territory from Newberry Springs to Riverside, California, we will witness the heavy rail traffic that this line is known for along with the massive Barstow Yard that serves Southern California through the steep grades of Cajon Pass. Action on this line is constant and it certainly proved on this day why it’s such a crucial path for freight traffic and to keep the Supply Chain flowing smoothly. It was an incredible experience to see this line in action and certainly one that I will revisit in the future.

Great video. I film for my channel at Daggett, several places along old route 66 and in the pass at Cajon Blvd. and Swarthout canyon Rd.
