why is JJ giving him a hard time for contacting a lawyer? There is nothing wrong with consulting with a lawyer in a case like this especially if you don't know what to do.
Because she makes $50 million a year and has no idea how regular people live. I can understand why he called a lawyer first, the defendant seems like a very difficult man to deal with.
She is extremely rude to the plaintiffs as well as the defendants. She does it cause it brings her ratings however when she doesn’t let people at least finish what they are saying is grating
I think she is just trying to make one or both of them look like a fool for the show rather than do it more efficiently this time. (Sometimes she DOES whistle through a case.)
As soon as I heard "Great Pyr" I believed the plaintiff. They are SO, SO protective of their pack. And the 4 year old opened the door. The child. The one that all of his genetics tell him to protect. Guardian dogs need skilled handling and training to be safe housepets. This is why. My friend has a Pyr she got from a sheep farm, the stories of what his mother did to protect her flock are truly impressive.
Yep, and this is what people don't understand defending the dog/its owner - if you have a dog with those genetics you need to keep it restrained when opening or answering the door if you don't want it acting on instinct and attacking who it would consider an intruder
I had pyranees when we had goats for many years. I was actually shocked that one had bitten. Mine were always so gentle towards people, even strangers. I suppose theyay behave differently in a house environment.
As a delivery person myself for 5 years with 10s of thousands of deliveries. Most of the time, me just walking towards the door is enough for the dogs to hear us. Its like they have magical hearings. Luckily, I've never been bitten but always had a fear of happening.
Dogs can hear a sound 4 times further away than a human can, & they excel at differentiating sounds--it's how they know the sound of your car coming down the street vs the neighbor's car. They can also hear higher frequency sounds that humans cannot hear at all--like dog whistles. Humans have 6 ear muscles. Dogs have 18. Cats can hear even better! Their ears have 30. And a 4 years old child shouldn’t open the door for a stranger. Oh geez a Great Pyrenees! Yep… those are big and very protective dogs. Absolutely lovely and beautiful creatures, but it’s well known those are working livestock guardian dogs. In the mountains where they were bred, people put up signs warning people to remain/act very calm if they’ve wandered into their property and their dog tries to investigate them. If the dog thinks you’re a threat to it or it’s herd, it won’t hesitate! Best thing to do is to try to not seem intimidating and back away slowly, but that’s for a wide outdoor space. Someone’s house or front door does not allow for that at all. I would actually hate for one of these dogs that is protective to think I was trying to harm it’s 4 year old pack member…
Dog bites can become infected super fast. I've seen a friend's who got a little nip and it ballooned overnight with infection. Getting it properly cleaned - even if a tiny nip - is important. Plus rabies concerns in some parts of the country. So I'm torn on this.
