These games aren't even in the Top 10, they must be trash. But you know what's not trash? Our Kickstarter. You should probably check it out:www.kickstarter.com/projects/thebrothersmurph/the-brothers-murph-season-8-table-fables-and-unmatched
I'm super KS-illiterate. If I backed the $100 tier do I also get the micro game or do I have to back twice? ($100 and $20 for the microgame) Also, Discord link doesn't seem to work.
The cut from pulling the phone off the mug killed me loll
You guys are awesome!

20 - Return to Dark Tower
19 - Gloomhaven

14 - Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion
13 - Raiders of the North Sea
12 - Too Many Bones
11 - Star Wars: Imperial Assault
@@bobavettgerkin That is hard to pick. I would say, if you can get both of them, do it, if you can only get one, I would say my personal preference is Hall of Heroes. I love the quests mechanism that is introduces to the base game.
Y'all are my comfort channel fr. Love putting your vids on when I work from home! I'm also personally offended AffO is so low but all good
Lol nice pic choice for Nick’s grand austria hotel 😂 the powdered nose caught my attention before the lines did!

Clank!
Catacombs?
@@curtisrobinson7962 the clank series as a whole, what's your favourite of them all?
@@raphael_tremblay
I only have Catacombs.
I only have 11 games.
Let me say that with gratitude:
I have 11 games!
Whew!
Lucky me.
🤣 48:20 Whats up with the Grand Austria Hotel game cover image? 💊👃
Hmmm don’t see anything wrong with the cover
@@TheBrothersMurph 😆😜 riiiight. The guy must love the band "The White Stripes" xDD
I didn’t even notice until I read this comment!
That is so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love your picks, love these lists!
My 20-11:
20 Architects of the West Kingdom
19 Lost Ruins of Arnak
18 Jaws
17 Galaxy Trucker
16 Hadrian's Wall
15 Star Wars: Rebellion
14 Nemesis
13 Fleet: The Dice Game (Second Edition)
12 Sleeping Gods
11 Furnace
Straight BANGERS on this list.
What a SHAKEUP in the top 20. Can't wait to see the rest!
Glad to see Suburbia get some love.
Nice to see you two still appreciating Grand Austria Hotel. I feel sorry for those people who play it once and have one of those occasional suffer games and then never play it again. My partner and I, who have played it dozens of times and know the flow of it, even had one of those recently when an extreme few ones and twos were rolled over the course of the game. Wasn't fun, we didn't even do end scoring, just packed it up. At least it sucked for both of us. You definitely don't want to be the one person having a suffer game while the other thrives. That hurts.
Also cool to see Lisboa so high. What's so lovely about Lacerda's games is that although learning them is tough, the gameplay is so elegant and smooth. We're still waiting for the right time to learn and play The Gallerist, because we know it will be fun, we just need extra time and energy to get through the painful learning process.
Wait, what’s with that Grand Austria Hotel cover art??? 😆😆😆😳
No idea what you’re talking about
Some more great ones here! I want to get Grand Austria Hotel so badly but I'm waiting to find the expansion available so that I can play it solo (which is how I'll get the most value out of it). Also interested in Great Western Trail: New Zealand and Shipwrights of the North Sea: Redux based on your descriptions and enthusiasm.
20. Ark Nova
19. The Great Wall
18. Twilight Imperium: 4th Edition
17. Pandemic Legacy: Season 1

Arnak is sitting on my table right now for another game of solo play.
20. Unsettled
19. Quadropolis
18. Evacuation
17. Blood Rage
16. Scythe
15. Iwari
14. Raiders of the North Sea
13. Pest
12. Dune: Imperium
11. Bruxelles 1893
King of 12, had it for a few months and just go let it to the table with my fam a week ago (4 players). Fun game I can see that it would get better and better the more you play with a group.
11 Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small
12 Sea Salt & Paper
13 Cyberion
14 Stellarion
15 Jump Drive
16 Caverna: Cave vs Cave
17 Tapestry
18 Terraforming Mars
19 Gaia Project
20 Point Salad
This suffers from recency bias a bit. I don't think Cyberion or Stellarion will hold those positions, but the others are pretty solid in their place.
King of 12 is my next purchase. Thanks for the Jedi Mind trick. :)
I just received king of 12 from Lucky Duck's Memorial day sale... You guys are the only reason it was even on my radar. Excited to give it a try!
My 20-11:

17. Gloomhaven
16. A Feast for Odin
15. Kingsburg
14. Libertalia
13. Five Tribes
12. Fury of Dracula
11. Ark Nova
My number 14 needs the caveat that it doesn't technically exist yet. I've helped playtest the prototype a ton though and I really like it.
20. So Clover!
19. Lost Cities
18. Tiny Epic Pirates
17. Downforce
16. Ticket to Ride (series, France is my favorite)
15. Celestia
14. Helionox: Chronicles
13. Century: Eastern Wonders
12. Star Realms
11. Automobiles
Feast drops out of Mike’s top 10? The real big shocker is when he reveals his top 10 as 10 different versions of Monopoly.
Ok honestly AFFO dropping out of Mikes top 10 after being #1 for so long literally blew my mind hahaha
Also, I really hope you guys get a chance to play the Lets Waltz expansion someday. The asymmetric player powers and the ballroom expansion are one of those “I’ll never go back” additions. Plus the solo absolutely rules too. One day!
That solidifies it! I've got to play my copy of Hooky!
Closest I’ve come to a True Crossover with one of you! My 20-11:
20- Cascadia
19- Blood Rage
18- Clank
17- Rising Sun
16- Five Tribes
15- PARKS
14- Lost Ruins of Arnak
13- Project L
12- Champions of Midgard
11- Abyss
Would that be
Clank!
Catacombs?
I love Turing Machine. Love seeing it on this list.
I would absolutely love to see a 2p playthrough of Grand Austria Hotel from yall
I adore so much that King of 12 has made this list, I'm starting to evangelize it too!
Love your channel and that you are encouraging top 100 lists, I had recently done mine with Pub Meeple (shout out! love that site) and been posting my other groups of ten so far, so here is my addition to this portion :)
20: Hadrian's Wall

10. Forest Shuffle
Nick's I need to think about a but more 😄
Nick is cult of the new! I love it!
Just got a Feast for Odin on your reccomendation last week and played it over the weekend. Great game, I have to know what has supplanted it for you now!
Love the way you say New Zealand! cracks me up. I worked shearing sheep in New Zealand but haven't tried the game as yet.....one day :)
Great picks. Tough to rank them as they are all good.
I want to try King of 12, Anachrony, and Paint the Roses.
I gave SkyTeam as a gift as I keep hearing good things about it.
Boon Lake has my curiosity now.
A feast for odin is one i really need to pickup, I've only played nusfjord and i hear the praise for odin and need to add it in.
How you described Hooky reminds me of how I played Clue as a kid. Process of deduction using cards you have to your advantage. very cool
I have some of the games mentioned here. Not sure where I'd rate them, but I agree they are up there. King of 12 sounds intriguing. I am not a big card game player but you gents have highlighted a couple of card games, [cribbage, with the Wicked Cribbage deck, for one], that changed my mind. Thanks, as always for the list!
That Coffee Cam is WORTH a Subscribe!
Turing Machine didn't have a place on my shelves for a while, because it lived on the coffee table for easy "turdle" access 😂
Anachrony probably would have been in my top 20 too, but I've only played on BGA so I didn't rank it lol. Great game.
20 The Taverns of Tiefenthal
19 Ascension: Dawn of Champions
18 Patchwork
17 Lost Ruins of Arnak (one spot off of Nick!)
16 The Isle of Cats
15 Just One
14 Space Base
13 Wavelength
12 Ticket to Ride: Rails & Sails
11 Pax Pamir: Second Edition
Also, have AFFO ranked higher than Mike 🤯
*snick and box top 100 games* **sing**
Oh I've been singing it wrong this whole time, thanks
AFFO…. I’m speechless. Great list though!
The only games I've played the physical copy of are Suburbia and Arnak. I've played both Tzolk'in and Feast for Odin on BGA. All of those are great games. I own The Crew, but haven't played it yet. My 20 to 11:
20 - Scythe
19 - Le Havre
18 - Mama Mia/Sole Mia
17 - King of Tokyo (Dark Edition)
16 - Roll for the Galaxy

11 - Starship Catan
We're getting close!!

My personal 20-11:
20. Pax Pamir: Second Edition
19. Pax Porfiriana
18. 51st State: Ultimate Edition
17. Rallyman GT / DIRT
16. Pax Renaissance: 2nd edition
15. Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game
14. Merchants & Marauders
13. Obsession
12. Maria
11. Twilight Struggle
My collection is somewhat eclectic, but I got around to ranking it earlier. It's a wild mix 😅
11: Tiny Epic Galaxies
12: Phase 10
13: Betrayal at House on the Hill
14: Pandemic
15: Yehtzee
16: ArcheOlogic
17: Mice and Mystics
18: Qwinto
19: Das NEINhorn
20: Roll for Great Old Ones
27:15 ... I started with NZ, but that's because I wanted a GWT game and heard NZ was coming out so I jumped on a preorder group buy and hoped it wasn't a bad game. I am not disappointed at all, but learning the game solo was a bit of a beast! I still would say it is fine to start there if you have been in the hobby a while and like medium and heavy euros
I really need to play a GWT; any recommendations on which on to start with?
My 20-11:
20. Archaeology: The New Expedition
19. No Thanks!
18. Rise of Tribes
17. Grand Austria Hotel (glad to see we're fairly close here)
16. The Red Cathedral (thinking I should try White Castle)
15. Schotten Totten
14. Race for the Galaxy
13. Glass Road
12. Imperial Settlers: Empires of the North
11. Istanbul
I heard so many good things about all editions of GWT and eventually ended up with GWT Argentina (purely because it was on promotion in my local shop). Now, this seems to be the one rated the lowest among the GWT editions BUT we play this over and over again with so much joy that I can only recommend it. It's a great, heavy game, works even fantastically at 2 player count. So I'm going bold here: if this is the lowest rated one, I'd say you can start with any of them and you'll like it (if you are into heavier games).
Spoilers:
Hooky is one of the only games my wife requests to play unprompted. It gets major props from me for that.
Paint the Roses is so good. Think it made my top 15 too this year but I forgot to save my PubMeeple results hahaha
My 20-11:
20. Watergate
19. Western Legends
18. Bora Bora
17. Hadrian's Wall
16. Alchemists
15. Raiders of the North Sea
14. Targi
13. Pandemic Legacy: Season 2
12. Return to Dark Tower
11. Horrified
My 20 to 11:
#20 - Vaalbara
#19 - Fallout Shelter: The Board Game
#18 - Ark Nova
#17 - Ginkgopolis
#16 - That's Not a Hat
#15 - Mythic Mischief
#14 - Abyss
#13 - Skora
#12 - Maple Valley
#11 - Dungeon Mayhem: Monster Madness
Michael!…. Ah…wh….wh…ah…wha wha, who, what, nervous laughing. Number 12! Off the chair! One the ground. ;D. Love this count down. You never know what is going to happen.
How could you do my boy Odin dirty like that?
Jumping back on now that we’re up to “almost” not trash level games.
20: Concordia
19: Caverna
18: Cascadia
17: Lobg Shot: The Dice Game
16: The Reckoners
15: Bunny Kingdom
14: Wayfarers of the South Tigris
13: Mindbug
12: Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small
11: Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion
Is Anachrony worth it at 2 player?
More preach for Boonlake!! Honestly underrated Pfister game.
many of these are well known games, instead of going through what the game is about, it would be more interesting to hear what drives the big drop/rise compared with your previous year rankings
Some good picks here, I played GWT: New Zealand for the first time yesterday, the sheering thing took me half the game to get my head around, but once it clicked about needing the extra Harry (Shearer) it was great!
20 - Cribbage (Up 23)
19 - World Wonders (Down 11)
18 - First Rat (Down 9)
17 - Trekking Through History (Up 1)
16 - Mansions of Madness 2nd Ed - (Down 6)
15 - Heat: Pedal to the Metal (Up 7)
14 - 7 Wonders (Up 51)
13 - Critter Kitchen (Down 2)
12 - Just One (Down 6)
11 - Mille Fiori (Up 6)
I think Mike fell and hit his head moving games to the new studio. Only explanation. That or Nick bribed him to do it and then won an oscar with his performance acting surprised. Yup.
As for me my 20-11 would be as follows:
20. Funfair/Unfair
19. Sleeping Gods
18. Spirit Island
17. TM Ares Expedition
16. Obsession
15. Iki
14. Rococo Deluxe
13. Ohanami
12. Ecos
11. Cascadia
Again with the Vlad but can't recall your view on Mage Knight? Feel like it'd really tick that complex solo that you each can enjoy
11Ark Nova
12The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game
13Ginkgopolis
14Mage Knight Board Game
15Teotihuacan: City of Gods
16Underwater Cities
17Pipeline
18Terraforming Mars
19So Clover!
20Azul
Boonlake rules!
I love Boon Lake also
Jeez all worker placement or euros... where are all the non euro gamers??
- SPOILERS -
Well, this was a surprise! The start of this 10 was not promising, because I find King Of 12 extremely frustrating, for mostly the same reason I find games like Revolution! frustrating, because people’s hidden choices can mess with you and so you have no way of strategising. If you can predict what your friends will play, that’s no fun either. So I don’t understand why people find it fun.
Same with The Crew. In fairness I haven’t played Mission Deep Sea, but I didn’t understand the hype behind Quest for Planet Nine. I’ve played a total of about 15 scenarios on three different occasions, and it seemed they were either super easy or impossible. If you play with people who have difficulty with logic, they feel bad for letting the team down, but if you play with superminds, that person is you. Either way it just falls flat.
But the list gets better. I enjoyed the only time I’ve played Tzolk’in. I also like GWT: New Zealand; the first two felt a bit repetitive, but I liked how NZ made shipping interesting; it’s a massive improvement in my opinion. Lost Ruins of Arnak is a lot of fun! Shipwrights: Redux has promise; I misunderstood some important aspects on my first play, and I had terrible card luck on my second play, but I like how heavy it is for how snappy and fast it is. Boonlake is great fun! A Feast For Odin is sprawling but in a good way. Paint The Roses is cute and fun … not sure it’d be Top 20 for me, but it’s a delightful filler game.
Turing Machine is fascinating and very cool … I don’t know if I’d find the gameplay particularly fun, but it is very original and interesting. Suburbia gives me all the SimCity feels. I had a bad experience introducing it to a newer gamer, so we haven’t touched it in a while, but we should try it again.
Grand Austria Hotel sounds like a game I’d love but I haven’t tried it yet! Everyone recommends it for me given how much I love dice placement.
Thanks for the list, friends!
Hooky sounds really interesting.
Grand Austria Hotel...was that intentional??? I thought this was a family-safe channel. 😏
Kutna Hora isn’t Lucky Duck games is it?
OMG what a fall for AFFO
I got around 640 games in my collection but none of these. I don't plan to either. I stick to good games 😉
Oh dang shots fired!
Do the brothers like Alchemists?
Haven’t played it yet!
@@TheBrothersMurph ooo baby, bump it up on your "to play" list. Medium-heavy worker placement euro with... deductiooon! Playfully thematic, like Dungeon Petz (you can have your assistants drink potions for you to see what happens LOL).
And you totally feel like you're hunched over an alchemy lab, while you hide behind your player screen, scrawling your deduction notes down secretly.
Oh yeah it’s been at the top of our to play list for years, just haven’t had a chance to yet
I bet that's a big list haha. Thanks for the videos. Y'all have good taste and crack me up. Keep 'em coming.
Why does Mike hate A Feast for Odin so much 🤷♂️
I mean we knew ffo wasn't going to keep it's top spot but 12 mike. How rude. 11 games usurped it
Well i guess Feast is trash now, thems the rules, good to know i never need to play that
NOT EVEN IN THE TOP 10??? Might as well call it A Feast For Garbage!
More like TRASH for Odin
Got em!
Cokey McCokerson get me. Every. Single. Time. He's never not funny.
Guess I’ll have to cancel my preorder for AFFO now… such a shame 🥲
