Just in case you still haven't learned Diaclone's plot by now: Diaclone is a military organization fighting against an alien race called the Waruder for control of a fictional energy source called "Freezon." The pilot figures are all just generic, faceless, nameless soldiers and the robots are all mass-produced military hardware.
@@80sTransfromersFan You're very welcome! I've been really digging into researching Diaclone lately. There's a depressing lack of decent English-language sources on it. I'm attempting to create my own.
@@80sTransfromersFan Thank you! All I have right now is a Word document list of every figure and its year of release. I was fortunate enough to own an original Sideswipe and a Jazz Diaclone toy when I was a kid in the 80s. My mom bought them for me at a Japanese gift shop in Los Angeles. I loved the little pilots with the magnetic feet. Kinda bummed when I noticed they weren't present in the U.S. version of these toys. Beautiful engineering. All of them started out with a block of wood. Isn't that amazing? I saw an article with pictures taken with one of the engineers/designers and you could see how the wooden prototypes looked, prior to molding and casting. These guys took their work super seriously and made sure everything as was symmetrical as possible, so everything sat flush in final production. Amazing.

Interesting fact Diaclone prime came in several colors from red to blue green yellow and white. The white one was later re- issuedwith what would become known as Ultra Magnus trailer. There was an all yellow shinning Magnus as well
The white cab version was Hasbro's idea. I own all the diaclone versions except the red cab with the Magnus trailer.
@@80sTransfromersFan I must be mistaken then I know the Ultra Magnus one was blue in Japan but also thought they had a white one as well. Also the yellow "clear" version or shinning Magnus was a limited issue so was not clear on that..no pun intended
@@omegasupreme1970 🤣... I have never opened my Shinning Magnus.
@@80sTransfromersFan ok now Im jealous always wanted shinning Magnus. LOL guess I will have to be happy with my Korean Brave Max and trypticon LOL
@@omegasupreme1970 I to own Brave Maximus.
I think the more easier way to get the vintage Optimus Prime, use Goo Gone to remove all the stickers, and get the Battle Convoy stickers from tfkingdom...
But make sure the vintage Optimus Prime must the be first release version (bloated version)....
RedRanger2001 lol!
@@80sTransfromersFan Oh, and Diaclone Battle Convoy came out in 1983.
