@@Ryan-ht7mo Just rechecked. So that's basically moisture or dirt accumulated on them. But there are a few ones, when they are chasing Jadis, that looks different, with huge blisters, kinda similar with the ones from The Last Of Us
@@BehindTheReel1the blisters are from the steam as it would burn them when they go near it then it probably hardens later that’s why the one they kill looks like that as well

Simple the creator of TWD has stated he'll never do cure, immunity, mutations, etc. After he sued amc in 2017/2018 he was no long involved with the show so Scott Gimple jumped on the chance to do them however theyre just shock vaule gimmicks that have no end goal or payoff.

Many people made the argument that the zombie apocalypse in TWD was unrealistic and that the zombies would’ve decayed and died but now there’s maybe a reason they aren’t decaying because of mutation

@@UGAfan1227 no it’s actually because the show changed show runners from Darabont who was the mastermind behind it all to some bozo then Gimple. It’s why season one of TWD was the best and the walkers were far more scarier, faster using rocks etc to smash windows to name a few. I’ve seen some fans use the excuse “it’s because they’re more decomposed now” which would hold up only freshly turned walkers are every bit as slow and dumb as the decades old ones. It’s a continuity error and a big one at that, every Walker kill feels forced because of just how unthreatening they are where as Darabonts walkers who the second show runner at least had the decency to somewhat keep were at least scary and them killing someone was believable, Gimples? Pfffttt can be beaten by walking briskly, they’re a joke and part of what killed the show for me and many others, instead of a horror show it became almost like a comedy watching the military storm trooper their way to death against 0.5 mile an hour walkers in FTWD just to name one glaring example.

I'm not surprised mutations happen when exposed to different climates and radiation levels over time making DNA mutate so the variants are no surprise to me.
