True, BTP are not a Home office force. Furthermore, in a College of Policing directive (Aug 2022) BTP officers applying to transfer into Home Office forces have to go through initial selection as any new applicant has to. Something officers from Home Office forces don’t. Somewhat telling.
What I know from my policing knowledge as a former officer you just have to pass your probation or IPS and then you are treated as Transferee to any force.

@YB06 They were quite strict on the 7 questions to be answered within10 mins presentation. I rehearse quite well before interview and mark my time. The other questions were couple of scenario based i.e. a person is standing on the edge of the platform about to jump how will you approach him and stop him. Also someone got sexually abused and came up to you asking for help and the abuser is still at the scene and I am alone how will I deal with the situation to get an help from colleague its bit difficult because on radio they said they are at least 10 minutes away from you and in the mean time how will handle the situation keeping in mind protecting the victim. The around 3 competency questions based on STAR model. Teamwork. Open ness to change. Leadership. At the end of the interview I knew it I got it as the interviewer said I should relax now and will be informed of the outcome in a day or two. Interview was on Saturday eve and I received the conditional offer on Monday next week
