The average working family makes $36,000 a year and that's usually from at least two adults in the family working plus the teenagers packaging groceries at the supermarket. The only "average" workers who make $100,000 to $400,000 are physicians and attorneys-at-law and if an ordinary person thinks they can become a professional like that, the med schools and law schools have a 97% rejection rate against pre-med and pre-law applicants.
