The part of this story that frightens me the most is food production. The African Swine Flu problem, a loss of farming knowledge on a societal scale, combine that with a breakdown on governance and you get famine. Not malnutrition, actual, Ethiopia in the 90s, level famine involving 1B people. That’s the true danger here. A dissolution of government is bad. A famine is civilization ending.

    • @JeRefuseDeBienPrononcerBaleine

A famine to that level won't happen. They still have a lot of cash and the ability to buy grain on the international market. Remember they're quite good "friend" with Russia so food won't be a deadly problem. At least not for the coming years so they could fix it.

25 years later it gradually changed to majority Chinese investors so they started at first to learn Mandarin but it's not as useful as Japanese which is 1 language. Sure, they changed clothes, flags and professed ethos (mind, I DEFINITELY could not see Xi in Imperial Yellow) and they even have a quasi-Politburo. @ yvettebowles9011 First of all, thank you very much. Yes, their behavior is really terrible, but the actual situation may be far beyond everyone's imagination!
That program has not only refused to apologize, but even denied everything that happened. They said that all the news was framed!
I can share two things I actually encountered:
      1. Many netizens liked my comment on the video of Coco Lee’s funeral ceremony. I am very grateful to them!
However, after that day, RUclips repeatedly uploaded to me some fake videos attacking Coco Lee’s family every day.
The titles were very sensational, but the content had nothing to do with the title.
What is suspicious is that all of the comments below were all extended topics and tell the fake stories, and no one mentioned those are fake videos at all.
The theme has nothing to do with the content, it is entirely about leading the trend. The content of those channels is completely similar.
After observing for a few days, I finally found that the community of one channel is all in simplified Chinese characters. It is very strange.
The titles, subtitles, and comments of all the videos are all in traditional Chinese characters, but I can't find any Hong Kong grammar words.
It is inferred that these terminal channels want to pass themselves off as Taiwan channels, but what is their purpose?
I really don’t understand, and I really don’t want to associate this matter with politics, but it’s really debatable.
Who are these people manipulating the Internet after Coco Lee’s death? What is the real motive?
      2. Two weeks ago, I started to share Coco Lee’s story on some channels, including The Voice programs from various countries,
and some channels of international superstars who have participated in The Voice, such as Shakira, Ricky Martin, David Bisbal, etc.
Unexpectedly I was also immediately attacked by some Chinese!
What is suspicious is that those people said exactly the same thing, that is, Coco Lee's sister went crazy and killed Coco Lee, not the voice of China!
That story was directly copied from Whitney Houston's movie "The Bodyguard". They want to deceive people who have never seen that movie, but they can’t deceive me at all!
Thinking back to those fake videos I saw before, they all used the same plot. Now I can definitely say that those fake videos were produced and spread by that TV station.
The purpose of spreading it is to shirk responsibility!
I really hope everyone can help share this matter now and let the original company of The Voice take back the Chinese copyright without letting them get any benefits!
Coco Lee has always been an artist who quietly does good deeds. This is the only time in her career that she got angry. She fought against the entire system alone.
It was she who allowed everyone to see the “black-box” operation of the TV program.
It was she who allowed everyone to see the darkness of China, but in the end she lost herself life.
This is something that no other singer can do, but she, Coco Lee, did it. I choose to speak out and support precious fairness and justice!

J.P.Morgan and ANZ on Friday raised their 2023 economic growth forecast for China, after August economic numbers offered some signs of stabilization in the world's second-largest economy.
Both raised their GDP forecast by 20 basis points each to 5% and 5.1% respectively, with JPM saying notable recovery in retail sales and rise in service activity were the biggest surprises.
China's industrial production rose by 4.5% year-on-year in August 2023, beating forecasts of 3.9% and quickening from a 3.7% increase in July. It was the strongest expansion in industrial output since April, following recent support measures from Beijing to bolster economic recovery. Manufacturing activity advanced by 5.4% (vs 3.9% in July) and mining output rose by 2.3% (vs 1.3%).

You described the effects/ goals of the china model, or the china model. The China model is basically allowing outside companies access to your large, low cost labor pool in exchange for technology transfers. There’s no reason to get hyperbolic about china. There’s plenty to criticize legitimately.

Many people in comments speaking about China threat as nuclear country but it is mostly wrong.
It is not we, who must be afraid of nuclear war but China in first place:
1.Due to China's immense population and it's density is very likely to kil up to 99+% of her's population with 50nukes mostly because of side effects such as nuclear fallout and total chaos where country can't sustain population nearly in anything.
2.China has around only 410 nuclear warheads. Also unknown how many of them actually operable by now and can be launched in first 15-30minutes, until arrival of Western countries nukes.
3.Already exist complexes primarly designed for nuke interception so it is unknown how many of them can actually land.
Summary: Even if it will mean worst day for China enemies, it will be a Doomsday for China.
That is why investing in dictatorial and generally bad countries is really bad idea(suprisingly! :/).And it is a primary reason for Russia and China existing in current volume and all tragedies which are coming with them , as well as generally weak politics hoping that problems magically solve themselves.

Here in New Zealand, the party most likely to win the elections this year has, in my opinion, some of the most (known) problematic ties with and are overtly most embracing of continuing business ties with China, with the likes of Jenny Shipley, John Key, Judith Collns, and Simon Bridges in its party history in relation to China. We have had a few tough years like everyone else around the world, but I'm readying myself for more erosion of our social democracy here in exchange for selling out to the benefits and business interests of the few. It won't be so apparent what's happening, but if China does visibly and economically collapse then at least they can't afford the influence on our politics much longer... and it will be more freedoms and protections for our Chinese people who moved here too.

Well, China never had a democracy, not even since 1636 which was when the Qing Dinasty took over it and Taiwan, and that later would spur the emergence of the first sprouts of the CCP in 1921 to prop Mao as the new de facto emperor. Between the Confucianism and Marxism, they choose to go full Marxist and embrace another flavour of tyranny with modern militaristic zest, to this year. China would really become strong if they embraced democracy as Taiwan did. Heck, China could become an ultra-Taiwan if so they desired, but their history of being "humble vassals of an Emperor" lingers dangerously in their mindset -- they are mostly peasants. They need to learn that the time of vassals serving tyrants is long gone and that they should appoint a person by election to administrate the country for the welfare and prosperity of the country and its people, not to embolden the ego of more "Maos" 😟
I just can't wait for their revolution cornerstone that will finally drag China from XVII century into the XXI century. It will be a day to rejoice by many people in Asia and abroad, not only China.
