So happy to see another barracuda video!
Fast, powerful, aggressive fish are the types I enjoy targeting the most. The clip you got of that cuda coming out of nowhere and slamming the tube right away reminded me of fishing for bluefish and chain pickerel up here in CT.
Bluefish is the one fish I love targeting the most, which has had me hoping to someday get into topwater barracuda. The speed, aggression, power, jumping, and topwater action are what really do it.
Chain pickerel is my favorite freshwater fish to target in the smaller lakes and ponds I fish. The way they come shooting out from cover and slam a suspending jerkbait as I give it erratic jerking and slam a loud buzzbait is what I love, along with the fighting power for their size.

Lawson, you should do a beach day fishing video/videos. I know it's not your normal speed, but get some surf casters and throw out some pompano rigs with sandfleas. The pompano are showing up, tons of Palometa and sand perch around, caught a 5-6lb bone the other day, etc. Could easily do a catch and cook, and the plus side is that you get to chill at the beach. Always throwing lures at the same time.

Hey Lawson, do you make your own cuda tubes? What type of surgical tubing do you use? I'm having a hard time looking for an appropriate size and type of surgical tube here in the Philippines, all the ones I find have too small a diameter to fit anything more than a 1/8 oz. egg sinker, as a result they cast terribly. I would really like to get into barracuda fishing. The waters here around Iloilo have a lot of them though the fishermen here treat them more of a nuisance. Anyway, I love the recently concluded 30-day challenge, keep up the good work! Keep on slaying dude!

They are always on that corner on the super clear incoming. And as shown they are BIG ones there. Cudas scare me more then sharks. Cudas jump and snap at you right at boat. There are some places down in the Keyes where you can catch so many, it’s non stop action.

I'm going to support your channel because I like what you I like what you do and I like how eco-friendly you are. Saying that to say that I am one of the most prominent fly fisherman in the state of New Jersey. My best friend Thomas Brown rest in peace 62 years old died suddenly of cancer I was the son he never had so every time we went out I tried to make his fishing Journeys which might have only been for sea-run brown trout a program we helped start in New Jersey memorable as I could. Put on Thomas to a curve at me and said yeah I'm going to take you out and we're going to go fly fishing I believe it was November but we're going to go out in a little 14-footer out instead of Channel we're going to slice fish pretty saltwater Bulls and cows of striped bass which I did not think it was possible until I had a 15 weight rod in my hand and fishing line called shooter oh, that was the fly fishing line we used to use because it was weight forward and it would sink fast instead of making your leader look like Christmas lights with nothing but lead split-shot and 2 ounce weights and what have you. I hooked into my first 45 lb fish. And I don't know if you ever got that opportunity or if you're a Buck Hunter Sissy two huge monster bucks battling and just rattling their way through the woods and then one's veers off and you're sitting on the ground with your recurve bow and your Cedar Arrows with 125 grain tip at 10 yards and you drop that Buck on the spot. Well that's what it felt like to me when I hook my first big old striper Sirius it got me so addicted that when I move down in North Carolina all I did was flyfish nobody said you could fly fish for flounder or fluke I prove them wrong people told me you couldn't fly fish for Sheepshead I proved them wrong but my main goal was a catch me a trophy redfish. Drop me a line sometime

Barracuda tops all the fish I've ever eaten. I've never understood people giving barracuda a non-edible status. I've caught and eaten 13 barracudas in my life and never been poisoned. As long as they're not missing scales or smell weird (other than their normal "iron-y" smell) then they should be fine to eat. Cut them into steaks and fry them. Don't forget to add lime before you dig in.
