@@fallspeed I know, I have a player my self but this action for some reason doesn't have the pedals as a flip out. I also think that action is kind of ugly. It just looks bad...
@@PiotrBarcz From other videos I've seen of this exact Kimball you can actually flip the pedals out but you can also play it with the pedals in the flipped-in position as here which only a hand full of 'em can do
@@linus-clocksnmusic I don't like this piano in the least and I can't understand why it isn't even close to restored. THIS IS SCOTT JOPLIN'S HOUSE FOR PETE'S SAKE
I really love the way Joplin improvs on his own music a lot, it would have been nice for him to put out some sheet music for some of the heavy improvisations though LOL
Very cool....I notice the vast body of the song does not sound like the hit version of the 70's, so either it was changed later by Joplin, or the sheet music was diff, or the arrangers changed it for the "Sting"...

This song was actually played by J. Lawrence cook. It wasn't played by Scot Joplin.
This is actually a mix of The entertainer and the New Rag. Sounds really cool
Yes, it doesn’t have the D part of The Entertainer.
This guy plays better on piano with his feet than I do with my own hands 😳
Pretty neat. That pedal system is a new thing to me. Never seen anything like it!
That's how most of them were originally powered (pneumatically) back when most people didn't have electricity.

@@linus-clocksnmusic Huh, I wonder why this guy didn't flip them out
I love the early jazz flourishes Joplin adds. There is more syncopation here too.

So, this is TRUE JOPLIN playing?
Love how it included the New Rag too

Swing feel huh? More fun than the 'normal' way SJ is performed.
Roger Moozil Exactly.
SJ did it this way as well this is a version of the 1902 piano roll
Way before jazz existed! What a legend
Good leg workout then. Love to own one
I think the speed from this pianola was tuned on "fast" because Joplin did never play this so fast...
How do you know that? These piano rolls are ostensibly Joplin's own performances.
@@dielaughing73 this roll isn’t a Joplin performance, it’s an arranged roll made well after his death.
Woah!
That's very heavily edited....but fun!
The only one with right tune!
fantastica pianola!!!
Thanks you!!!
Interesting that he plays it with a bit of swing.
The entertainer is from 1903
1902 actually
This looks just like my piano, but it’s not a player piano.
idk why i freaked out when the piano played by itself
Where is scott joplin house?

Wait... ragtime doesn’t swing. The piano roll’s wrong?
The Drawerator this piano roll was made well after Joplin died.
So, is this actually Joplin himself?
How plays this?
Opened
This is not Scott Joplin playing on the roll.
Is o pende?
Oh, it's a Kimball action, man they made that thing UGLY.
