i commented on this video june 29 2012 saying im saving up for a bmw. im pretty proud i can say achieved it haha. i have now owned a silver bmw e36 328i coupe for about a year now :D
that inspiration!
Wow! thats so awesome to hear. And i'm sure like allot of us enthusiasts it won't be your last BMW, i'm still enjoying this e36 and also my newest addition to the family that i also picked up about a year ago, a 2005 e46 M3.
yeah i saw that in your vids man looks real clean
Freddydawg I need help I always wanted a tuner like power to weight ratio honda, as I aged I wanted more and different from others. Should I get a e36? Previously wanted a e30 with m20 turbo pushing 400 horses but shortly fell in love with the e36. First thing I would like to do is go stock turbo maybe a precision 5252 or maybe a gt28, I want about 420 wheel for a while until I can stroke and build it for bout 550 600 wheel......can e36 reduce weight to about 2500 pounds without driver? I live in Utah, and I stumbled across the e36 which Noone races out here nd figured it's like the next 240sx........240s have lots of sales tax, aka drift tax as the e30 can sometimes be found more expensive than a e36 so I figured this is a underrated car.......should I get one and stay dedicated with the stock turbo route? And maybe a 3.73 diff?? I heard that's good but once I go big turbo I should look into a longer gear ratio?. Sorry I'm lost haha pretty much I want to purchase my next car which won't be automatic! And make it my tuner to be my daily driver to commute and race here and there out in the industrial area which we race at....
Miggys' Garage did you got it ?
LOVE IT DUDE!!! You have really tastefully modified this E36. I have a 4 door E36, and just did an engine swap.....It was a 318i, now it is a complete BEAST! I put in a rebuilt S54 M3 Engine with VF570 supercharger, suspension, brakes, e36 M3 drivetrain. Bimmerworld here in Virginia did the work. Got 537 HP at the wheels on their Dyno. My car looks a lot like yours..it's red but has 4 doors. CHEERS!!!
Christopher Barry holy crap, thats a total monster!!!
So nice to see someone appreciate a nice car like this and keep it in excellent shape
Thanks alot, but lots has changed since this video. Car still has the same burly engine mods, upgraded KW suspension, brakes and bushings ect but i've removed all M cosmetics and brought it back to a stock looking 325is and now use it primarily as my winter driver while my e46 ///M is in storage. Kind of a sleeper now except the loud camy idle may still give it away a bit lol
Very nice, any recent update vids? I just bought an 03 e46 today im pretty excited about it
My 318i gets me through the winters while the 325is is in storage. It never lets me down and has been the most reliable car i've ever owned.
Después de tanto tiempo lo sigo mirando a este vídeo .Saludos de Buenos Aires Argentina ..
I always loved how the e36's lines really worked on the convert, often i've thought of a black e36 m3 convert in my dreams lol.
Perfect look for an E36. Really good job!
I own a nice White E36 and I find this inspirational. Super clean and super mean!
After i saw this video few years ago, i bought one e36 325 coupe. Car with soul ;)
Super nice clean E36, thats how they have to look. Congratulations !
Got this on my recommended 8 years later :o its dope asf
Beautiful 325 in absolutely awesome place :)
really nice, very clean and elegant mods!
I love your fitment, I've bookmarked these specs to run on an E36.
perfect video to make anyone love a bmw e36.
best looking e36 ever, seriously
OMG ur car is off the hook, big props!!!
Love em! This is my third summer on them and zero problems so far, they ride nice even when they are set real low, no bouncing around at all. highly recommend the KW's. you'll get what you pay for with this suspension.
I usually don't look at E36's, but this one I had to give some of thumbs up for!
In February of this year I bought a 1995 BMW 325is similar to this one except it was completely stock, and I chose this car as my first car instead of the 99' mustang my brother didnt want
Oh my god my man congrats on the car. she s beautiful.
very clean build! love that you kept the OEM styling and took every mod under consideration whether it was trashy or not. Also, its weird that you can turn you car on with just the key. my 99 M3 requires you depress the clutch while turning the key to turn her on
Just wait few yrs and it will be a true collectable icon man... peace
Like the work you put into it
beautiful e36
Beautiful! I have the same color Helrot Red E36 325IS. Great cars man. 18x8 matte black m3 rims, beautiful halos with the clear euro corner lights, euro plate, 20%tint all around, DTM catback exhaust. Cheers
Thanks, and i'm always open to others ideas and opinions. I have three extra steering wheels in my shop at home to choose from and i just feel like rocking this one for now, the back bump i kinda like the way it is with the usual black bit painted red, to me it looks cleaner and more monochromatic than the M/// style black defuser. car was bought with cheesy ebay crystal clear tails that had to go, so i just threw on a stock set for now i had layin around.
so beautiful...!nice ride man....
Niceeee see people who take car of the beemer hope its just as clean on the inside
Beautiful car!
Beautiful E36. It makes me really miss mine :(
hella clean boy
beatiful, and music fits perfect
Nice car and wheels!:)
now that's an E36 with style!
I'm happy that you are aware of this things. Change the indicator as quick as possible and it's gonna be a sweet ride without any "nice, but...". I owe e36 sedan and I would give my hand away for a nice coupe ;)
@SKUSANWOLEK Thanks man i really appreciate ive asked everywhere and ur the first person to actually give me info.
Work of Art!!!
Thnks, it was a fun car and a fun build.
@Neweraoutsourcing Thanks, hope ya find yourself a nice one. I'm also not huge on red my last two e36's were silver/gray and charcoal and my vw is drkblue, but when this one came along it was in such good condition i thought i'd give it a shot. hopefully my next e36 is a black M3
yea i just did a plug replacement and put in bosch coppers. a few of my ignition coils were a bit corroded and dirty looking along the rubber shaft so I was just asking to see if m3 coils might be an option if i wanted to replace. thanks for the info!
Love it, I'm getting one next year and outside of the colour I am looking at a similar setup...
beautiful
amazing rims
3things to change - steering wheel (debatable, but still...), m-pakiet (car would benefit with the rear m-packet bumper) and, at the end, yellow or white indicators. never both. Everything else is stunning, great work !
the best old bmw
Thats correct. Window tint is thin darkened film applied to the inside of the glass.
That is clean bro.
very clean
Nice car!
I've been looking into them recently and I think I'll be getting one in the next year or whenever my Explorer poops out on me :) thanks for the info!
awesome red dude!
I like the exhaust sound at low rpm
hey thanks, but in this vid the engine is still pretty much stock, its from last may and was just taken on the phone i bought to try out the cam on it. Actually pretty nice and surprised to see the car stands out better than the crap lo res camera its shot on lol. I've only had the engine back together with the VAC upgrades recently, and still have to fine tune on dyno. Couple still pics of drifting/burnout on my other vid, new vid is coming together.
that is mint as, im saving up for my first car bmw e36 325is
great car
Like the setup. Would you consider white blinkers in the backlight unit for conformity all around?
Only if i find a set of real oem euro tails, not interested in the cheap ebay replicas. They are not easy to find were i am.
the average cost depends on what u want done to the head. VAC motorsports has packages including maped&bluprinted valves, new retainers, seals and springs a port&polish and resurface to your head all witch is tested on there flow bench starting around $1,000 without cams. Having a local machine shop do the p&p and do the rest yourself would be cheaper, but i like the work VAC did for me and all i had to do to was plop the new head in, add cams and injectors myself, tune and enjoy 50 more HP.
GORGEOUS
Looks dope
Nice one. I currently have a 325 coupe myself. It doesn't have the m-package, but it will definetly get it.
@BubbleboyJ E30 M3 is my dream car, but thanks for the info on the aluminum body 2.7l e30 i'd like to get my hands on one of those too.
@LUELMO 17"s look good at stock height but 18"s just seem to fit the body so nicely once its lowered
Yes i agree 189hp or probably less depending how many original miles are on it, is not enough and you end up finding the limits fairly quickly. You can chip/reprogram ecu and do headers for mild gains at reasonable cost or do the full N/A setup like mine (P&P head work, 6mm valve stem, big cams, bigger injectors and custom ecu tune) and hope to gain 60hp. or choose forced air(turbo/supercharger), either way anything that will achieve real gains to this motor will cost a couple thousand minimum.
magic! nice car....!
Good car good video good music :)
I WANT YOUR CAR SO BAD! no seriously, great looking e36 there.
@bmwgroetken i cant remember the exact number and i think the fronts are diff than the back, somewhere between 35 and 43 i think. the backs were actually rubbing on the inside wheel well because of the high offsett, but nothing a set of spacers and a fender roller didn't fix. if you run coilovers the fronts will contact the springs so a 8mm spacer at least will need to be used with these wheels
Awesome, some spacers would be good too
great great great car !!
I ordered wheels first, then i took the little metal rod with the grey plastic end on it that helps line up the holes in wheel with holes in hub(its in the tool container on the trunk lid on all bmw's) then i put washers between the wheel and hub on that rod untill it was where i thought i would like the wheel to be, then i just took the stack of washers off the rod and measured them. e36 have high offset wheels so adding spacers while lowered will need fenders rolled, especially with 9.5"s
i got the headlights from DDM tuning and they come complete with projector hid's,halos and glass lens. The exhaust is just 2.5 single pipe from manifold back through one resonator and a magnaflow muffler. No cat
love those wheels man whered you get them? and what does adding m3 ignition coils do in terms of performance?
Clean asf
@panchitop619 spacers are just round pieces of billet aluminium to fit between the wheel and your hub(disk brake) to give a wider stance. 12mm spacers on back mean rolling fenders and stretching the tires a bit(225,s on 9.5inch rim), 8mm a must in the front to to keep inside of wheel from contacting the coilover,s.
bellissima non mi piacciono solo gli specchietti per il resto perfetta
Good to hear!
I was just curious to see what other people with KW V1s thought of them, too. I actually have KW V1s on my 328iC, haha.
i hope one day i could have an e36 one as nice as yours
I dont know about the rest of the world but the e30 was still produced in 1992 with the last ones coming out with a 2.7l evolution 2 325is. It had 155kw of power and the body was alluminium.
nice, nice, I love e36 bmw, color is like mine, but I have just 328i 1996 convertible
nice car
beautiful! car man i have the same rims on my 93 325i how much did you get them for?
what are spacers? you say you have them on front and back
Awesome looking car, great up-grades ... I got me a silver '94 convertible that I'm just getting a feel for so I can plan out some upgrades. Starting on the front end suspension system, Any suggestions?
Thxs, George
the car looks fucking amazing!
@CcoxocC thanks, you can get the m style front bumper from ddm tuning its good, but don't buy the m style twist side skirts there. good M3 style side skirts aren't that cheap but they'll fit perfect and def stay put, even being this low or lower. Try bav auto, turner motorsports or beast power they might have them too.
Thanks, and now is fast as it looks making +10 more engine horsepower than a stock M3.
Its perfect!
@LUELMO thanks but i'm not sure what you mean by power filter,if its the air filter your talking about your right ive had nothing but problems with that short ram intake in my car and i'm thinking about going back to a stock air box. i've tried a couple different chips in my ecu but nothing yet to remove the speed limiter, do you know the name or # of that chip and were to get it ? the limiter is the only thing i hate about the car.
Sweet car man
I have like exact the same but Black
E36 is the best
the bumper in this vid is the one i got rid of, i have a new vid of the freshly painted one up now. Luckily i have awesome friends in the business and it cost me nothing to have it painted, and the install i just did myself (super easy to do). But if you went to a decent shop it'd cost anywhere from 200 to 400 bucks for the paintwork.
@SKUSANWOLEK: Very nice ride! I just bought a '95 325iC a couple months ago w/ 98K miles on it. It's pretty clean and original. I've been wanting to swap out the factory steering wheel because it just feels huge. Did you put that Momo on there or was it already swapped out when you bought it? I want to swap mine out with a Momo or other type, but afraid that I might get an airbag warning light or electrical problem by doing that. Any issues w/ yours?
song is called memorial, its listed to the right of the description.
yep thats really about it, also some early vanos models had some issues i've heard.
Amaizing car! Still have you got?
E 36 the best ever made body by BMW !))) for me)
@superagent44 Soon as you disconnect the wheel or remove the front seats the SRS dash light will turn on and the only way to turn it off is using the SRS reset tool witch works on 95 or later models(obd2). You can buy one from peake research or just have your mechanic do it, witch ever is cheaper. My 92(obd1)is a little harder to reset but this was done before i got the car so i'm guessing the light was just disconnected when my wheel and M3 gauges were installed.
Yeah i never thought i needed the rear ///M bumper either, just painted the bottom bit red instead. Don't cheap out on shocks/springs and i would change the front control arm bushings and the rear trailing arm bushings and replace with poly. The bushings you will notice them more than the stiffer sway bars as most time those rubber bushings are toast anyways while the stock sway would still be good. The right suspension and bushings and it will feel better than a new car. Handles better than my M3
@BubbleboyJ here in north america the e36 starts from 06/92, so its seems we still had the e30 for the first half of the year but im not sure if we got the 2.7l evo in it?
Thanks a lot. clean is the only way
super clean, just put the center black insert back on your front bumper and you're good to go.
did you change your front suspension?or how did the 18inch rims with a 40 wall fit?
i have 17 inch with 45 and i had to hammer my struts a bit
ok man , thx ! we finally nailed it huh :)) be good !
