Her dragging herself out. Incredible acting
This so brilliantly acted by everyone in this scene.
I love Ann dragging Katherine out of that house - they rescued each other.
Sarah Lancashire is a top tier actress
This whole series is superb! Brilliant acting and writing. This particular scene was absolutely gripping.
I left the police in 2022. Over 22 years in. Couldn’t stomach what had been done to it. Final straw was nearly being killed during an arrest and the CPS releasing suspect on bail - for them to flee the country.
Was speaking to one of my former colleagues about this show.
Sarah Lancashire captured exactly how we had been taught to police.
You’d rather die than be thought a coward or leave a colleague in peril.
Superb series. Really hit me how accurately she captured how we were taught and what it should be.
Thanks for keeping us safe despite most folks being cu*s
Ann saying “get in” is chilling. Great performances.
Even though I’ve seen this many times it still rattles me. Best show ever. ❤
Brilliant acting
I remember watching this episode with my friend, the night it aired. After this scene the episode ends. Me and my friend were absolutely dumbfounded, couldn’t take our eyes off the screen even as the credits started to play. We then just looked at each other not being able to speak. I’ve never watched something that’s hit me as hard as this scene.
The last episode of Season 3 had just the same impact on me.
Amazing scene. And I love that Ann helped fight Tommy and helped Catherine get outside. So often in movies you see a scene like this where the protagonist and villain are locked in a life and death struggle while the person in Ann's position just stands there, so it's good to see an example where they take every chance they can get to be free.
The fight or flight instinct is strong. Being so close to freedom probably gave Ann that adrenaline boost she needed to whack TLR with that weight and drag Catherine out. Bear in mind she was weak from lack of food and fluids and being drugged up for days and dragging 10st of near enough dead weight ain't easy at full strength never mind when you're weaker than a newborn kitten.
Despite watching this scene so many times, every time I watch it, i get goosebumps and my heart pounds with anxiety. Best show ever.
Such a great show.
Amazing series Sarah Lancashire was superb but then again she always is
My heart was racing and my palms got super sweaty during this whole scene. No tv has ever done that in my life! I can’t rate this show (and Sarah L) high enough ❤
I'm glad I wasn't sitting watching it with you holding your hand then!! 😉
Why haven't I heard of this show? Awesome.
All three seasons currently (June 2023) streaming on Acorn TV and AMC+.
@@Jamakaya1 Thanks!
Best British Cop drama ever
@@adamrevitt4035 I'm definitely checking it out. Thanks.
Find it! Binge it, then watch it over again!
Catherine is BadAss!!
My daughter had never seen this programme before and she came round to visit me when it was part way through this episode. She was gobsmacked by it and I remember her saying "Oh my God" as she was stunned at the ending.
I remember sitting at the end of my seat for this one and screaming at the end!
Excellent series‼️ Gosh darn one of a kind‼️ I love the character of Catherine Cawood, the police officer‼️💖
Best actress EVER ❤
Incredible acting from James Norton…he’s so bad but so good 😊
Love this show so much I bought an area free DVD player so I could buy it. This is such a well written, well acted series. Makes me wish there were more episodes.
@@jolynngood2746 I wish that every time I watch Happy Valley. I wish there had been a season between 2 and 3.
I always thought the acting and musical score in this scene is the best in the whole show. Especially the end. Just wow!!!
Makes me cry every time
no wonder the famous Jamie Lee Curtis said this is her favourite programme ever
Catherine batons his leg 3 times than gases him.. love it. So gripping, suspenseful. Love Catherine and tommy. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The ending to this episode gave me goosebumps😢😢😢❤❤❤
Absolutely brilliant just brilliant, need these actors to make a similar series 🎉
I love the way things are done in Happy Valley. The truncheon catherine has, going for the legs, ouch.... then sprays him with pepper spray 🌶 🫑 🌶 🫑 🌶 🫑 🌶 🫑 🌶 🫑 🌶. Sarah is really good in this. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Brilliant.
He’s such an animal 😮
Amazing series!
I remember watching this and not realising I had stood up and was shouting at the tv for them to get out.
Then the distress alarm playing out at the end, after what happened to the officer the episode before…😔
Really felt sorry for catherine and Ann. Also those poor lads who he killed in the flat. Tommy is so ill and violent I actually felt sad for him and his mum. ❤❤❤❤❤
I miss this
I love you catherine. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
It's long overdue time I started watching this show from the beginning . This is probably the most extreme clip of the show that I've seen so far . It's nornally a lot funnier than this. But it shows what a good program it is if it can juggle black humour and deadly serious stuff like this.
I'm sure ITV player has the whole run of Happy Valley.
BBC iPlayer has it
@@ichbinjon many thanks. 🙏
Met James Norton recently he's a nice fella...lol.
Fantastic
So sad for the police woman🥺
She lives 😊
Massive rookie mistake not to radio in before entering the premises.
@@simonhadley8829 She did that again in her last confrontation with Tommy. I sat there wondering where the police presence outside the house was and why on Earth she walked into her house without radioing for backup (I'm a cop's daughter).
@@joannadearest8318 She does that because it make the story work. TV cops are forever neglecting to call back up. It's not meant to be reality, it's entertainment.
she has a personal vendetta going on. she wants to handle it personally. gray character. season 2 delves into this, where she says she would love to kill tommy. she says she would have gotten away with killing him on the canal boat.
She should have started off with the CS Spray
Just left Lyn on the floor
What happens next!? Did they escape?
Yes they did. Catherine nearly died and had to have an emergency op to remove her spleen she was in hospital for a month. Ann recovered phsyically but mentally she was a mess. It haunts her nearly 10 years later.
Why the full move here idk y tf 😂
So unprofessional - she should have immediately called for backup when she saw the bound child.
I cant watch James Norton in anything now. All i can see is evil.
Poor quality audio , no idea what the girl was screaming at the end. Rubbish.
She's screaming "Don't do that" She has a strong Yorkshire accent.
Amazing show. Britain at its worst. Acting at its best. 👍👍👍👏👏❤🇦🇺🦘
