    Thanks so much. I tried ceramics for the first time today and we started with a pinch pot which turned out really cracked and thin at the top. Yours is really simple and lovely. Thanks!

      Thanks, Sarah! The moisture of the clay is also important. It should be plastic enough, it isn't prone to a lot of cracking.

    I may have missed something, but how did you get the bottom of the cup to be so flat? Thanks!

      Right around the 4 minute marker, I tap it on the table! :)

    How do you get your clay to the correct dryness? If mine is too wet, how do I know when to stop drying it? Thanks

    I am sorry if you put this somewhere, but what brand/type of clay do you use? I am absolutely enamored with this pot 😍

      For this project with my students it’s Standard- 103 (earthenware without grog!). :)

    thanks for great tutorial. generally apx. how many grams of clay you are using for one cup?

    • @KaransPotsAndGlass
      @KaransPotsAndGlass  4 года назад

      I don’t know gram equivalent, but depending on the mug size- 3/4 of a pound - 1 1/4 pounds. So, 12-20 ounces. It fully depends on the size I need, and whether or not I’m trimming a foot. :)
