my biggest problem with gaming chairs is that they are designed from the ground up to look cool, with almost no thought into the fact that people are going to be sitting in them for 8+ hours at a time. My advice (after owning a couple of gaming chairs) is to just buy something that has been designed for the purpose of sitting for long periods of time. Like a nice office chair, which are also cheaper.
Yeah I use a fairly decent office chair instead for that exact reason. Gamers Nexus did a good vid on this years back

Yes my last office chair lasted longer than my last gaming chair but things have changed badly in the office chair world, I literally could not find a single office chair that had independent recline of the back from the seat (like you see in this video) All office chairs now have 3 recline positions and the seat moves with the back so you ain't reclined, this makes it impossible to get a good bespoke seating position. That for me was the reason I opted for another gaming chair.
Looks like a car seat to me. Seat belt slots included. These chairs are designed to restrict movement, while office chairs are designed for movement and support. I've had a s/h Herman Miller Aeron for the last 10 years. Parts are easily replaceable, you never sweat in it and they are supremely comfortable. I predict this reviewed chair will also be in a skip in 6 months.
Yep. I always get a nice executive leather chair. Even the cheaper models are good enough for gaming.

I’ve got one of these, in black. Very sturdy and I like the adjustable arms. A bit stiffer to sit on than my previous office chair but I can tell it’ll last 10x longer. Still very comfortable to sit in for hours and hours, and it’s beginning to soften up as I sit in it 👍🏼

If mine ever broke or worn out I would replace it with one of these!
I must say mine is slightly different too this one and comes with the elastic cushions for the headrest and lumbar support.. mine is also leather (or leather ISH).. I'm also a big lad and these have nice wide seating area for your legs and Arse!

Bought a second hand Herman Miller Mirra years ago for 100 Euro, then got an offer to trade that for a refurbished Mirra 2 for 400 Euro from a German company. Best deal I've ever made...well chair wise anyway. Had 3 gaming chairs before that and while they did all cost between 200 and 300 Euro, they were all garbage. Comfortable for a month or two, then the seating loses its shape, the armrests break etc. A good chair is really worth the investment. And I found that a bit of physical exercise will usually eliminate most little complaints about shortcomings that people mistakenly attribute to their chair.
This I think will be the one I buy next when my current chair is done with. Well worth considering!

Any update on seat cushion getting any softer?
I've had an Andaseat for about 2 and a half years now. Don't remember the model, but it's got the leather seat. It was good they included the tool kit, because every month or so I have to put the bolts back in underneath because they keep falling out. The leather on the seat started cracking really bad after the first year or so. It's comfortable enough to sit in all day, but it's not the most amazing thing to sit on. Overall I like it, but I think next time I'll just buy a really nice office executive chair instead.

I've got the Dark Knight version of this chair and had it for about 1.5 years now. I do like it although I think it might be better suited to someone taller. It's very well made and serves me well for very long gaming sessions. I came from a big plush exec chair which was a bit more soft and comfy to the touch (probably what Mack was talking about) but I think this does a really good job, it's just not going to have that soft plush feel that people might be after.

For the price of these gaming chairs you can have a new Herman Miller Sayl, or a refurbished top of the line model from Herman Miller, Ahrend or Steelcase. Also, those brands offer 12 years warranty, where as Anda seat only offers 2 years (which tells you plenty in how much trust they place in their own products.)
And you wont have back problems like you get with most of these gaming chairs

I've tried numerous office and gaming chairs and once you get past the 'go faster' style of the gaming chair, there's no comparison. Get a good quality office chair. Your back and arse will thank you. I haven't tried that one and it does look good, but I personally wouldn't go back to a gaming chair.
Tried your link but it's US only shipping unfortunately. Their site links to amazon uk but they don't have any XL models, just regular L in Black PU, Maroon and Grey fabric.
I'm 6'2 so near the recommended height limit for a L. Been trying to decide between this and a Secretlabs Titan Evo or going with Office style refurbished Steelcase Leap v2.
I have Titan 2020, very much a recommend(they did fuck up at first and sent me leather version, while i wanted softweave one, but everything was sorted out eventually). After 3 years it feels and looks like new. Has all the same features as Keiser chair and is very comfy, just takes couple of weeks to get used to it.
Hey Mack how did this chair hold up, I know these are similar to the secret labs chairs and after some time I could feel a metal bar on my tail bone.

Noblechairs are solid, albeit a bit pricey. Had mine for 4 years now, 0 issues and I use it 6+ hours a day :)

I would recommend getting a lumbar support for your chair. It's really important when sat on a chair for hours at a time cos it pushes your lower back out which is the correct shape of the back anyways.
Anda seat kaiser 3 has built in lumbar support.
I'm going to heartily recommend trying a Herman Miller one next time and just buy a refurbished one. Unless you can get sponsored ones that aren't as good of course and just ditch them every few years. I got one last year and it's the best chair I've ever had by far, and has made a huge difference.

I've been looking for a nice chair for ages. Settled on a Ticova which for a budget option is pretty good. Amazon cheap at mo. I like the look of this one though, although gaming chairs aren't great as a rule. I look forward to your feedback in a wee while Mac. The kit looks really high quality to be fair.
Cloth seating is definitely the best choice for chairs - (avoid the fake leather stuff that falls apart pretty quick) - Congratulations on the new chair! =)

I built my gaming chair.
2005 Honda Civic Type R bucket seat on a steel plate with the seat rails. Have had this for ten years and it's comfortable and solid!
I even left the seat belt fastner in their 😂 Just make sure you get the passenger seat as its got less wear.

I've been saying that for years, If I could get an office chair to match my honda civic i'd be happy as shit. I can drive 12 hours easily and recline and take a nap and my back is happy.
I could never find any good gaming chairs that would last or fit me comfortably, 6'11" about 240lbs. I had to bite the bullet and just got a Herman Miller Aeron new. Best chair I ever had and can be in it pretty much all day and feel fine. Worth the money imo, it's pretty much a lifetime chair.
I bought a secretlabs titan 2022 foam one and this thing looks very similar.
Great seat, just got one but the arm pads are in need of a redesign or at least being softer or comprising of memory foam or a gel like substance……

Congrats, I would actually recommend looking into a high quality office chair over any gaming chair. Office chairs are designed for sitting for longer periods of time and remain comfortable. Personally I go with the Lazy Boy office chairs, since I work from home 9-10 hours per day, and I am a gamer. The chair remains comfortable the entire time, it is actually so comfortable that I have slept in the chair a multitude of times.

Looks solid. I've had some _budget_ chairs over the years and it's definitely worth getting something nicer like this. I had one chair from an office store in the US where the back was attached to the seat via the arm rests, so when the arm rest bolts wore out the back fell off in a brutal way.
Tried any high end office chairs? Had my Herman Miller Aeron for a few years now and it's still in perfect condition. Much better than the shitty chair I had before it. These gaming chairs always look pretty crap to me.

Secret lab chairs have the same lumbar support. very similair chairs by the looks of it. Magnetic headrest is a big plus for the Anda.
All the parts are standard parts. Its not a good chair if it sais gaming and is overproportionally priced. These chairs are container chairs bought for dollars and sold for 100 times their value.

I have SecretLabs Titan 2020. 3 years and it still looks and feels like new. This one looks very similar to it, including lumbar support. As far as foam goes, it feels harder at first, but after few weeks it feels perfect.
I had exactly this, and I expect the same with Mack's chair t.b.h. they are shockingly feeling hard initially, but the more you sit in one, the more it adjusts to your form.
Exactly the one I have, and still in good condition. I got the soft weave option.
The armrest on my ripped and it was before they made the pad easily replaceable.
I really like mine as well but i replaced the caster with rollerblade wheels after a year because pet hair. The mechanical parts looks the same with this anda seat very interesting.

Just get it over with and spend the $$ now and you'll NEVER buy another chair. I got mine for $800 refurbished and it looked like it was new.
It's fully rebuildable. Mines nearly 10 years old and operates like the day I bought it. People constantly knock it for price. If you're buying shitty $200 chairs every 2 years this will pay for itself.
I also almost forgot to mention that I used to throw my back out every few months. I've done it like twice in the past 10 years. Is it the chair? Dunno, but I can tell you it's the only thing thats changed. I weigh the same and am in the same physical condition.

But it was free and lasted for many years, kinda miss it today. I would have lastet me a lifetime if i didn't replace it with some modern crap, that broke after 2 years.

My last chair was an executive style office chair which lasted a little over two years till the arm rest broke in two sections. My new one is a gaming chair that's rated for all day use, 120 Kg and has a eight year warranty. I don't believe for a second that it will last anywhere near eight years. I've digitized the receipt so when it does break after two to three years they better replace the bastard.
