Don’t have big expectations, and HEIGHT. Your antenna needs to be OUTSIDE and AS HIGH UP AS POSSIBLE. If you put it up high, go higher. You need as much height as possible. And always, check your cables. If you wanna do well, You need to optimize your setup. That’s the way to do it
Ordered my BobCat last year in July, Finally received it two weeks ago. Made about 1.5 HNT and then the May 11th patch hit, Nada but Data transfer earnings since then 0.000000045 HNT per day. At this rate by ROI will be in 20 years! LOL
That sucks to hear. Ordered mine in October with an ETA of 14-20 weeks and at this rate it will be another 8 weeks from now. To possible hit a dead road with mining. 🤦🏻♂️
It's been about 5 days since i've made any HNT. I was making $3-4 per day before the stupid update on the 11th. Wish i would've bought more GPUs for mining. I have a Bobcat 300 i ordered in October and received it just about 2 weeks ago trying to sell it but not having much luck....whenever it sells i'll be using the funds to buy more GPUs for mining when prices drop after ETH mergers to pos.
Ordered my bobcat back in September 2021 just got it a week ago May 2022, glad it arrived and will be on network soon. Manufacturing may be running into more issues with supply good luck to anyone who orders them you will get it but it maybe longer then expected

Ive had my bobcat 300 for about 1.5 almost 2 years and i could not get it to connect to the network. I just tried again yesterday and connected to the network, but could not run any diagnostics to get the ip address. So I unplugged it to reset it and now I can run the diagnostic but still cant get the ip or connect to the network when I go to update wifi i get an error. Also for so reason the bobber app is not available on the apple app store anymore and the blue helium hotspot app pretty much doesnt do anything. Does anyone have any advice moving forward on what I can do and what apps to use to be successful in getting the miner to work.

Don't the miners also require a connection to your high speed internet? Seems to me that ever since the original dev team split, it's becoming less and less long-term viable. When you consider the need to provide a separate high-speed internet connection and a CBRS radio, will it ever actually break even?
NEED HELP, I got my bobcat 300 about a week ago. I keep trying to register it and it’s starts to. I’m not closing the app or clicking away from the “Registering Hotspot” page however, after about 2 days it just stopped. Didn’t give any error message or anything. I just started registering it again hoping it works this time. Has anyone else had this problem??
Honestly I have two Rak v2 miner’s and they both are sitting in boxes On a shelf, I tried one of the miners with an Omni 8 DBI antenna 35 feet in the air and I was lucky to get around three dollars in a months time because of no other people around me so I learned it’s like Real estate location location location.
8di goes out like 30+ miles if i recall. Is it a rakwireless antenna? If you're real far out you can always try a 12dBi Directional Antenna from rakwireless it will surely pickup anything and everything lol.
@@cook4015 Both antennas are the Omni 8 DBI antenna by Lora 915mhz But I should’ve mentioned I have a lot of trees all around me so my last ditch effort is to put the antenna 60 feet in the air and maybe get a directional antenna if that doesn’t work, thanks for the information.

I'll go sign up but I would like to see Goldshell box given away. I have 3 helium miners and like Vosk said they need attention and at time are annoying to have to call your family to go over there to fix the miner. Then get asked why you spend more time now at their house than before getting the miner. Bobcat miner was supposed to be shipping out this Month but got an email say they were behind and are now looking at 1-2 months more. My Freedomfi miner is doing the best right now but it also has the advantage of being at my house where I can tweek.

@@leekatzmarek2916 i got a little over 5 hnt and at the rate I am going its going to take over two years to get any sort of ROI, I got an upgraded 8bdi fiberglass antenna thats about 8 meters off the ground, that 8dbi is only up for about almost a month so I am hoping i can get get better returns over time. Pro tip make sure you get a better antenna and have it set up before you plug in your miner, basically do a bit of planning and make sure you only input the hight and type of antenna once and not multiple times, and check your location first and see what your area is like. Sorry to go on and on but I figured you would want more then a 5 hnt. Basically not very great at this moment in time.

With the bobcat 300 can you effectively put more than one miner in your home with different strength antenna s. I bought 5 before I check out the 200 meter seperationn rule. Just curious about different opinions
Not unless you want to split the profits between them. You want to have the other miner on another HEX. You'd be better off placing the second miner at a family member or friend's house.

The fees on Ebay to sell are like 12-13% so i would have to sell it above msrp and taxes just to break even also including an 8dbi rakwireless fiberglass antenna.

Your location, saturation, and antenna height seem to be most important imo. I’ve been mining since September 2021. I was averaging 20 hnt a month. 2 months ago they made a change and my average went to 7 hnt a month. They just did an update. Pretty much everyone’s miner wasn’t working the last couple days. They just came back online a couple hours ago so I’m not sure what new earnings will be. Since moving isn’t really an option, the best thing you can do is buy LMR cable and rak antenna and put it as high as you can possibly put it. Inches can make a big difference. I made my money back quickly. Partly Bc I was mining more coins, but also at one point the coin got to 50 bucks. The new update eliminated many things that new miners would have issue with. Like relayed miners. Good luck to you. I hope you live in a good area and can get your antenna high.

My miner still doesn’t work properly… I can’t get any witnesses. Also I am not able to change the antena on the app. Anyways, it didn’t work out for me tho.

I would save my $1000 or spend it on something else. The network over the last couple months has been crumbling and they really don't seem to care. In the latest light hotspot debacle it just boils down to luck if you get a hit.

I'm fond of what i've seen from BobCat, I've been attempting to even put in an order to even get in line to get one, but with how the market is for everything right now i'm in too much pain to justify spending $400 worth of any coins with their current valuations and with some fun life surprises lately I don't have any extra dosh to just buy the amount to buy one outright. I'll end up getting one eventually, by then it will never pay itself off, but I'll do it I swear. They just came back online a couple hours ago so I’m not sure what new earnings will be. Since moving isn’t really an option, the best thing you can do is buy LMR cable and rak antenna and put it as high as you can possibly put it. Inches can make a big difference. I made my money back quickly. Partly Bc I was mining more coins, but also at one point the coin got to 50 bucks. The new update eliminated many things that new miners would have issue with. Like relayed miners. Good luck to you. I hope you live in a good area and can get your antenna high.

I had an order with SPNA and thankfully when they offered refunds I got my refund hassle free. I was really looking forward to it, but I oh well it wasn't meant to be.

Nick you seem fairly educated however I think you may be missing a very critical mark with this helium and your videos are….honestly I love them but they tend to lean towards how happy you are with the product and even say how great the discord is but I mean if you take a step back and look at what is going on and take yourself out of the picture (because you already are invested) you are saying that jumping onto helium is smart? I am only assuming because you said you would still by one. Can you share your logic with the audience. Ie. The state of the “peoples network”
I would save my $1000 or spend it on something else. The network over the last couple months has been crumbling and they really don't seem to care. In the latest light hotspot debacle it just boils down to luck if you get a hit.

I live on one of the worlds largest and highest quality helium deposits in the world. But I don’t own the mineral rights, so maybe this will have to do.

I'm fond of what i've seen from BobCat, I've been attempting to even put in an order to even get in line to get one, but with how the market is for everything right now i'm in too much pain to justify spending $400 worth of any coins with their current valuations and with some fun life surprises lately I don't have any extra dosh to just buy the amount to buy one outright. I'll end up getting one eventually, by then it will never pay itself off, but I'll do it I swear. Glad your vid popped up today, I had coincidently had HNT/mining on the brain along with your channel (they are synonymous to me at this point) so it was nice to see as a kind of refresher.
