The visuals and transitions in the opening were stunning. Usually don’t like CG overloads but that opening’s visuals flowed so well
My mind broke whenever I found out the two songs were not only english but by bands I know. Is this how Japanese people feel about ops and eds.

I'm Japanese. I didn't know the artists in this video. I think they're not well known in Japan. But they're proof that anime has become international. And I like these two songs.

I'm going to be honest, the fact that both opening and ending is American feels pretty wild. Like I'm surprised that Japan actually let us play both openings and endings. (Metaphorically speaking)

From whats ive read online it seems that the intro was animated by the same people who worked on godzilla minus 1 which if true just makes me love this anime even more
I've heard nothing of the sort. I just know that it was directed by a guy called Kouhei Nakama. Who is apparently a really good CGI artist with a unique style (as you can clearly see from the op)
I never like OP and ED songs at the same time when an anime is released. Usually one of them would fail. But those songs for Kaiju no 8, I really like them since the first time I listened to them.

I was so happy when it was announced that One Republic will do the ending and it's an absolute masterpiece
The OP might not be the kind of song I listen to on its own, but it sets such a perfect vibe for this story, 10/10 as an OP.
The OP slaps and has top tier CGI. The ED is chill. I have nothing to complain about. I'd even say this OP is the best of the 2024 spring anime season
My hero new season hasn't started yet but judging from the trailer the OP might be a strong contender for best of spring

its a good song i like the lyrics, they fit the show. but the overall vibe of the song does not really fit as an OP all too well imo. no complaints on the ED tho
