  • Hello my whoop friends. In this video I show you how you can make the betafpv 75 Pro more powerful and more efficient! Tuning for your Betafpv 75 Pro Whoop. Keep in mind this is just my opinion as a race pilot for over three years (and over 10 years of 3D rc-helicopter and rc-airplane flying) and you have to do your own experiences. But I think my experiences can help you move forward faster. I would be very happy to receive feedback from you in the comments!
    The first and easiest tuning option in my opinion is to use good lipos with your Betafpv 75 Pro whoop. For example Betafpv Lava 1S HV 550mah 75C, Betafpv Lava 1S HV 450mah 75C, GNB 1S HV 550mah 100C, GNB 1S HV 530mah 90C, GNB 1S HV 380mah 90C.
    The second best option in my opinion is to solder an AWG20 main cable to the flight controller. (especially from a race pilot's perspective)
    The third best option is to remove the motor connectors and solder the motor cables directly to the flight controller (but this is only possible when all the electronics are installed in the frame) (especially from a race pilot's perspective)
    The fourth best option is to do some weight reduction on the frame and canopy.
    The fifth best option is to use the pid tune from uav tech • Making Whoops FLY BETT...
    Furthermore, it is also important to install Bluejay 96khz firmware on the ESCs and as far as I know I have set the motor timing to low.
    And lastly, you can also experiment with other propellers like the betafpv 45mm prop (unfortunately I haven't found a low pitch prop in the 45mm size yet).
    I hope this video could inspire you to make your betafpv 75Pro whoop even better than it already is.
    But I also want to make it very clear that you don't have to make these modifications if you are already satisfied with your whoop. The betafpv 75 pro is already a good whoop out of the box and doesn't necessarily require tuning.
    But if you need more power or more flight time and are willing to invest some time patience and passionate work then I can recommend this modifications a lot.
    Happy whoopin! Whoop whoop! :-)

      @@TorontoFPV It`s a nice idea but my english is way to bad for this.😕 I even struggle to do these videos.. There is no way I can converse with someone in english in real time. What makes it even more difficult is that I can no longer learn a new language because of my neurological disease. Sometimes I don't even know the words of my native language anymore. @@TorontoFPV Yes, I think if it is possible then we should start very slowly. Maybe not even with the aim of a podcast. And I think in the future when I'm done testing and there's nothing left to test and I've made the world's most powerful whoop (with handwound motors). Because at the moment I still have a lot to do with learning how to rewind motors.. But I'm looking forward to the future where there might even be a podcast with you.. let's see what the future holds..

    what is your rates setup? Im looking for something in the middle of freestyle and Racing. I am also looking at getting higher KV motors and maybe a new camera any recommendations?

    • @butterflyfpv
      @butterflyfpv  8 дней назад +1

      My Rates are: Betaflight RC Rate 1.20 | Rate 0.70 | RC Expo 0.00 | 800 degrees on all axes. You can see them here in the pictures at the end of this video: ruclips.net/video/2wCopw5o4Co/видео.html Throttle cut depends on the kv of the motors. If the kv is very high like on my 80mm 2S 1102 18000kV build the you can go to Throttle cut scale 60% if needed.. I can recommend this Cam for a good picture in most situations: ruclips.net/video/0gtVZ4s5iB0/видео.html

    Good Stuff 👍 I found the carbon fiber ring protector/mounts from the motor wire at the base of the motors is often misaligned and not seated properly which can increase motor sound. First time I have seen these and thinking it might be good to remove them for weight. You think they help performance in some way?

    • @butterflyfpv
      @butterflyfpv  20 дней назад +1

      Thank you! Interessting! It will be difficult to remove these carbon rings without rewinding the motor. And no, these PCB rings are not for the performance of the engine. But so that it's easier to solder on new motor cables if a motor cable breaks off. That's why these PCB rings are a good thing in principle.

    Amazing huge job done and explained!
    About 1st modification- isn't itAWG22 originally and does it make that big of a difference?
    Could you please explain more in details why those 550mah batteries are bad to use?
    Where could I got the good/right pids/rates/expos/cuts?
    And most important... is this Meteor75pro is best drone for 1st one to start practice fpv/acro or you can suggest some other drone to pick?

    • @butterflyfpv
      @butterflyfpv  16 дней назад

      Thank you for your feedback! Yes original is AWG22. And I changed it to AWG20 cable (The smaller the AWG Number, the bigger the cable) and YES the difference is very big! This is also why it`s not FULL SEND bulletproof anymore with the 550mah lipos and the 5A ESC`s on FULL SEND flights (outdoors with a lot of 100% Throttle, especially in turns). I can feel the ESC`s struggling. I mean it flies, but the question is for how long. I'm 100% sure that an ESC will burn out at some point. I know that from experience! That's why I warned about it in the video. But this really only applies to full send pilots. If you fly with little to no 100% throttle I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem with the 550mah lipos. Indoor racing should also still be possible. You can take the PIDs directly from uavtech. The link is in the video description. And everyone has to figure out the rates etc. for themselves. There are many videos about this on RUclips. I might also make videos about it at some point. But I have little time and a lot to do. But maybe someday I can do it... My plan is that I want to create the best strongest whoop in the world first. And when I've gotten the most out of it and there's nothing left to learn, I'll make more beginner-oriented videos. But first I would like to make performance-oriented videos. I hope you can understand me..
      YES Meteor75pro is a very very good (if not the best) to start practice!

    • @Braincho
      @Braincho 10 дней назад

      @@butterflyfpv Thank you! Will need to buy awg20 cables and change it. Is it same for Meteor65pro(I already have this one).
      Didn't get the part about 450 and 550 batteries... what is the point and difference(why one is bad and the other is ok for the ESCs - will it be still a problem if i upgrade the cables?)(also what flight time you have with either?)

    • @butterflyfpv
      @butterflyfpv  10 дней назад

      @@Braincho No I`m not sure with Meteor65pro since it is low kv. But you can give it a try and give me feedback. Regarding the Lipos: With the AWG20 cable plus 550mah Lipo you can pull more amps because lipos with higher capacity and bigger cables do have less internal resistance. So if you go full send with a lot of throttle then there may be larger amp spikes. And because the esc on the 75pro is already tight, it may be that it is too much for the ESC.. It can. It doesn't have to. So if you don't fly at 100% throttle all the time then you can fly with 550mah lipos without any problems. But with the 450s the whoop feels lighter due to the lower disc load and is more maneuverable..

    • @butterflyfpv
      @butterflyfpv  9 дней назад +1

      @@Braincho Yes for me 450mah. (gnb 530mah are also 450mah size and weight). You can start with 4 packs per day. Thats a good start. And if you can do 6 packs its even better. and with 10-12 packs per day you can see relatively fast improvements..

      You mean Betafpv meteor 75 vs meteor 75pro? Then I prefer the 75pro because of the better performance.. and the flighttime is also very good..
