      is it very easy and necessary to adjust pre load on the rear when riding 2 up?

      @@vfr8009 Yes mate it is. I loosen it off all the way out and then count the turns back in to the normal setting (7 clicks I think). Then I add a few more clicks. If it feels too bouncy then just get off and add a few more

    Great vid, some good info. I guess really the VFR is designed for two people with their luggage, so your load is well within it's capabilities. Excellent bike, I'll never get rid of mine!

    Nice one mate, just getting my bike ready for a few days away camping. only thing is I'm wild camping so I need to bring some food/water and stove etc. this will be my first time camping. suppose I'll learn a lot, I really should have tried it in the garden first.

    Looking at getting a vfr800 as my go to touring bike, I paid 12k for my 1200GSA and find it meh, I'd rather saving 8k and buy something just as capable. My first tour is in May, would I be stupid in getting one over my GSA?

    • @Motourev
      @Motourev  Год назад

      WOW that’s one hell of a question. I’ve gone from a vfr800 to a vfr2200x and considering a GSA!!!! The vfr800 certainly has a thrill about it and she moves when you give her some gas. At nearly 50 I’m now focused on comfort over thrill factor but that’s me. I loved and missed my vfr800 I just couldn’t afford to keep both. It is a bike though that I will always remember as ticking all the boxes.

    • @Inked_CR
      @Inked_CR Год назад

      @Motourev See im only 27, whilst I was saving for another bike, I felt that having a cheaper touring bike would make more sense for when I go away, then having the Aprilia Tuono as the toy. As much as I love the GSA. Having 12k cash tied up in a bike doesn't make sense when it'll only be used in the rain/winter and touring.

      @@Inked_CR my main accessories were usb charger up to the front of the bike and a good phone holder/Mount or satnav Mount. It did put bar risers on mine to take the stress off the wrists, although only 25mm they made a massive difference and to the handling.

    If your down on the south coast if possible go and visit the Sammy Miller museum sammymiller.co.uk/ you can even get some good food at it. I'm just back from it last week. I have no affiliation with it other than being a fellow Ulster man with Sammy.
